Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the performance of the online search service system on the Cerah Informasi Pustaka application at the Tridinanti University Library Palembang in terms of librarian perceptions. The purpose of this research is to find out and ensure that the Cerah Informasi Pustaka application functions optimally in supporting library operations and meeting the needs of its users. this research uses a qualitative approach research methodology with data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation to an informant, namely the librarian of the Tridinanti University Library Palembang. The evaluation model used is the PIECES evaluation model by making a questionnaire based on 6 variables, namely Performance, Information, Economy, Control, Efficiency and Service and each variable is made into indicators. The results showed that the performance of the Bright Online Search Application of Information Library of Tridinanti University Palembang Library in terms of the librarian's point of view showed that the system was good in carrying out its functions

Abstract

The efficiency of the library's current operations is significantly impacted by the performance of its managers. In an attempt to raise the caliber of librarian performance, this study examines the analysis of librarian satisfaction with the work of library managers at the Faculty of Ethics and Humanities, UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. The purpose of this study is to determine the degree of user satisfaction and assess how well librarians and other library managers have performed in meeting users' expectations by analyzing library managers' personalities through librarians' performances and applying The Big Five personality theory. A quantitative technique is employed in the research, and questionnaire surveys are performed to obtain research data. The questionnaire consists of 5 main indicators using The Big Five Personality Theory and each main indicator consists of 4 questions. The sample used in this research was 34 respondents who were students of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities who were registered as users at the Faculty of Adab and Humanities Library. Keywords: User’s Satisfaction, Librarian Performance, Personality, The Big Five Personality ABSTRAK   Kinerja pengelola perpustakaan sangat berpengaruh keoptimalan kegiatan yang ada di perpustakaan. Penelitian ini mengkaji Kepuasan Pemustaka Terhadap Kinerja Pengelola Perpustakaan Fakultas Adab Dan Humaniora UIN Raden Fatah Palembang sebagai upaya meningkatkan kualitas kinerja pustakawan. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah mengidentifikasi tingkat kepuasan pemustaka serta mengevaluasi sejauh mana pustakawan dan pengelola perpustakaan lainnya telah memenuhi ekspektasi pemustaka dengan mengkaji kepribadian pengelola perpustakaan melalui kinerja pustakawan dengan mengimplementasikan teori kepribadian The Big Five. Pada penelitian pendekatan yang digunakan adalah metode pendekatan Kuantitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan Survey Kuesioner. Kuesioner terdiri dari 5 indikator utama dengan menggunakan Teori The Big Five Personality dan masing-masing indikator utama terdiri dari 4 pertanyaan. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 34 Responden yang merupakan Mahasiswa Fakultas Adab Dan Humaniora yang terdaftar sebagai pemustaka di Perpustakaan Fakultas Adab Dan Humaniora.

Abstract

This study explores the utilization of Instagram as a promotional tool at the Special Library of the Bank Indonesia Representative Office in South Sumatra Province. The main objective of this research is to examine how Instagram is strategically used to introduce library services, enhance public economic literacy, and build a positive institutional image through various forms of digital content. This study employs a qualitative approach with data collection techniques that include direct observation of the Instagram account @perpustakaan_bi_sumsel, interviews with librarians responsible for social media management, and documentation of published content. The findings reveal that the library utilizes a variety of digital content formats such as photos, videos, podcasts, and educational quizzes to deliver information to users. The content includes book reviews, Reader of the Month features, Bank Indonesia scholarship information, as well as financial literacy and payment system materials. The use of Instagram has proven effective in attracting public interest—particularly among younger audiences—to engage with the library both physically and virtually. The informative and educational communication strategies implemented through social media also contribute to increased public participation in economic literacy initiatives and broaden the reach of library services. Thus, the use of Instagram as a promotional medium has significantly contributed to enhancing the visibility and appeal of the library in the digital age.
