Abstract

Transformasi digital telah menjadi fenomena yang mendominasi praktik bisnis di era kontemporer, memberikan tantangan dan peluang yang signifikan bagi perusahaan di berbagai sektor. Artikel ini menginvestigasi dampak transformasi digital terhadap praktik bisnis, dengan fokus pada tantangan yang dihadapi perusahaan serta peluang yang tersedia. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif dan analisis deskriptif, kami mengumpulkan data dari berbagai sumber, termasuk studi literatur dan laporan penelitian, untuk mengidentifikasi tren, konsep, dan strategi utama yang terkait dengan transformasi digital dalam konteks bisnis. Analisis kami menyoroti bahwa meskipun transformasi digital menawarkan potensi untuk meningkatkan efisiensi operasional, inovasi produk, dan interaksi dengan pelanggan, perusahaan juga dihadapkan pada sejumlah tantangan yang signifikan, termasuk keamanan data, ketidakpastian peraturan, dan kesenjangan keterampilan digital. Namun, di tengah tantangan tersebut, terdapat pula peluang untuk mengembangkan strategi bisnis yang adaptif, meningkatkan keterlibatan pelanggan melalui platform digital, dan memanfaatkan teknologi seperti kecerdasan buatan dan analitik data untuk menginformasikan pengambilan keputusan. Dengan memahami dan mengelola tantangan serta memanfaatkan peluang, perusahaan dapat memposisikan diri mereka untuk sukses dalam menghadapi transformasi digital yang sedang berlangsung di era kontemporer. Sebagai kesimpulan, artikel ini menawarkan wawasan berharga bagi praktisi bisnis, pembuat kebijakan, dan akademisi tentang strategi yang diperlukan untuk menavigasi kompleksitas bisnis di era transformasi digital. Abstract

The research evaluated inventory management (IM) strategies employed by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Makassar City manufacturing sector, Indonesia. The study drew its participants from industrial zones including Sudiang, Perintis, Bumi Taman Permai, and Uripsumuarjo. Respondents were purposefully selected from companies within these areas. A qualitative, descriptive research design was adopted, utilizing purposive sampling. From a sample size of 244 participants, data was gathered through completed questionnaires. The study revealed that the majority of SMEs rely on the Just-In-Time (JIT) inventory management approach, with limited familiarity with other computerized inventory systems. Given the reliance on JIT, SMEs experience supply chain difficulties, as they must maintain consistent communication with suppliers and minimize material delivery times. However, due to a lack of computerized systems, orders are often placed only when needed, causing delays for customers. Based on these findings, the researchers suggested that further research be conducted to explore specific areas in greater depth.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotization systems on the machining quality of CNC machines at PT Evergrown Technology Batam. The research focuses on two primary indicators of machining quality: surface roughness and product cylindricity, which were experimentally measured in a controlled laboratory environment. Additionally, production process efficiency was examined through indicators such as production time, production costs, defect rates, and tool wear. Data were collected from 25 observation units selected through purposive sampling and analyzed using a quantitative approach with the assistance of SPSS version 2.3. The analytical methods employed include descriptive statistics, simple linear regression, one-way ANOVA, and comparative analysis to evaluate pre- and post-implementation conditions of AI and robotization systems. The results indicate that the implementation of AI and robotization has a significant impact on improving machining quality and production efficiency, as evidenced by a significance value of p < 0.05. These findings suggest that integrating AI and automation into production processes is a strategic move for advancing modern manufacturing industries.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the impact of implementing an artificial intelligence (AI)-based robotic system on the quality of CNC machining products at PT Evergrown Technology Batam. A quantitative method was employed using purposive sampling on 25 observation units. The quality parameters analyzed include surface roughness and product cylindricity. Data analysis techniques involved linear regression and ANOVA tests to determine the significance of relationships between variables. The findings indicate that the application of AI technology in robotic systems significantly reduces surface roughness (Y = 2.736 − 0.136X; p 0.001) and improves the cylindricity accuracy of the machined products (Y = 0.075 − 0.005X; p = 0.005). These results suggest that intelligent robotic systems make a substantial contribution to enhancing machining precision and overall product quality. Therefore, the implementation of such technology can serve as a strategic solution to improve quality outcomes in CNC-based manufacturing processes.
