Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk melatih kemampuan berbicara di depan umum menggunakan narasi berantai. Teknik ini mengarahkan peserta untuk menciptakan dan melanjutkan cerita secara bergantian untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara, spontanitas, dan kepercayaan diri. Pelatihan dilaksanakan di SMKN 2 Makassar kelas XI Jurusan Audio Visual dengan peserta berjumlah 27 siswa. Metode pengabdian dilaksanakan dengan dua tahapan, yaitu tahap perencanaan dan tahap pelaksanaan. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan kelancaran dan kepercayaan diri peserta dalam berbicara di depan umum. Teknik Narasi Berantai ini berhasil memantik peserta mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam bentuk spontanitas merespons cerita. Dengan demikian, teknik kreatif ini tidak hanya meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara, tetapi juga memperkaya pengalaman belajar dengan pendekatan yang menyenangkan dan interaktif.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the representation of corruption in the play Tuyul by Arif Khilwa using Alan Swingewood’s approach to the Sociology of Literature. The method employed is descriptive-interpretative. The data consist of excerpts from dialogues, narratives, or scenes that portray corruption within the play. Data collection was carried out through literature review, close reading, and note-taking techniques. The data were analyzed using an interpretative analysis method. The findings reveal that the corruption depicted in Tuyul exists at the level of political corruption, characterized by individual moral deviation within a rationalized social system. Through the character of Karlan, the play illustrates the power imbalance between political elites and the general public. This behavior represents the capacity of individuals to adapt to a corrupt social structure as a means of survival. Individual involvement in a corrupt system is shown not merely as a personal choice, but as the outcome of socialization processes that normalize deviant practices in society. In the socio-political context of Indonesia, this play serves as a form of social critique that exposes the darker aspects of society, particularly the relationship between power, personal interests, and the interests of specific groups. The lack of effective public accountability creates opportunities for the abuse of power, thereby fostering the proliferation of corrupt practices. Thus, the play stands as a symbolic act of resistance against corruption.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how Ziggy Zezsyazeoviennazabrizkie’s novel Mari Pergi Lebih Jauh challenges stable meanings through Jacques Derrida’s deconstructive approach. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with textual analysis based on the principles of deconstruction, focusing on how the novel dismantles binary oppositions and reveals the absence of fixed meaning. The primary data consist of textual excerpts that reflect the play of signs, the tension between reality and imagination, and narrative contradictions that lead to the deconstruction of social and ideological structures. The findings show that the novel consistently deconstructs common views about children, powerlessness, and stereotypes surrounding parent–child relationships. Through the portrayal of complex characters, the narrative exposes the instability of meaning often overlooked by society, inviting readers to respond to the text more openly. Ziggy’s non-linear storytelling and unconventional language avoid the pursuit of a single meaning and instead open space for multiple interpretations. Ultimately, the novel encourages readers to perceive the world through a more fluid and dynamic perspective, moving away from rigid dualisms and challenging established understandings of concepts such as powerlessness, love, and social relationships.

Abstract

Research on Resistance Poetry as Marxist Social Criticism in Okky Madasari's Collection of Poetry Posts aims to describe Okky Madasari's poetry on the Instagram platform, using Karl Marx's marxism approach as the basis for analysis and examining social criticism in the poems. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data sources of poems that represent social inequality and class struggle. The results show that Okky Madasari's poems contain five components of Marxism: political economy criticism, class struggle theory, social structure, and upper and lower class relations. The poems consistently highlight the exploitation of inequality, and resistance to the regime, becoming a form of symbolic resistance in the Indonesian context

Abstract

Program Herald Goes to School merupakan kegiatan pengabdian yang mengangkat tema peningkatan literasi jurnalistik dan keamanan bermedia sosial bagi siswa SMK Negeri 5 Makassar. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam memahami dasar-dasar jurnalistik serta menumbuhkan kesadaran akan pentingnya keamanan dalam menggunakan media sosial. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan kegiatan berupa penyampaian materi dan diskusi panel, serta evaluasi hasil kegiatan. Siswa memperoleh pemahaman mengenai teknik dasar jurnalistik, etika bermedia sosial, dan kemampuan bercerita melalui gambar. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam memahami, menggunakan, dan memanfaatkan teknologi digital secara bijak. Diharapkan, siswa dapat terus mengembangkan kreativitas serta menerapkan penggunaan media sosial secara positif dan produktif.
