Abstract

Learning about ecotourism is essential as it promotes environmental awareness, fosters sustainable practices, and empowers communities to protect natural and cultural resources for future generations. This study aims to explore the understanding of ecotourism in Kampung Patin Village, Kampar Regency, as a biology learning medium for students of SMA Negeri 2 XIII Koto Kampar. The study adopts a descriptive quantitative approach, using questionnaires, interviews, and observations to collect data from 30 students in grade XII who participated in a field trip to Kampung Patin. The findings indicate that the students have a good understanding of the ecotourism concepts observed in the village, with an average score of 80.5%. Students demonstrated strong comprehension of ecosystem concepts (85%), environmental awareness (78%), and the benefits of ecotourism-based learning (79%). The field trip activities, including ecosystem observation, identification of local biodiversity, and discussions about environmental impacts, were highly engaging and effective in enhancing students' learning experiences. The results suggest that Kampung Patin Village is a valuable resource for biology education, providing a contextual and interactive learning environment that promotes both cognitive and affective development. The study concludes that integrating ecotourism into biology education offers a promising approach to improve students' understanding of biological concepts and environmental conservation.

Abstract

Konservasi lingkungan adalah upaya untuk melindungi, memelihara, dan mengelola sumber daya alam serta ekosistem agar tetap lestari yang dapat dinikmati oleh generasi saat ini dan masa depan.  Konservasi lingkungan hidup di masyarakat adalah serangkaian tindakan yang diambil oleh individu, kelompok, atau lembaga untuk melindungi, memelihara, dan mengelola lingkungan hidup agar tetap lestari dan sehat. Hal ini melibatkan partisipasi aktif dari seluruh anggota masyarakat termasuk di dalamnya para siswa Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) dalam upaya untuk mengurangi dampak negatif aktivitas manusia terhadap alam serta mempromosikan praktik-praktik yang berkelanjutan.  Mereka merupakan generasi masa depan yang akan mewarisi bumi ini, dan pemahaman mereka tentang pentingnya melestarikan lingkungan sangatlah vital.  Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah memberikan pendidikan lingkungan luar kelas bagi siswa sekolah dasar. Metode yang diberikan adalah penyuluhan dan pendampingan. Kegiatan konservasi lingkungan bagi siswa MTs dapat melibatkan beberapa aspek penting: kesadaran lingkungan; pengetahuan dan pemahaman; perilaku dan kebiasaan; kurikulum sekolah; sumber daya dan dukungan; partisipasi dan keterlibatan; kemitraan dan jaringan; evaluasi dampak dan efektivitas.  Berdasar hasil kegiatan, mitra meningkat pengetahuannya tentang konsep konservasi lingkungan sebesar 19,05%.  Nilai peningkatan pengetahuan mitra termasuk cukup baik.  Mitra memiliki keterampilan dalam melakukan kegiatan konservasi lingkungan.  Kesimpulan terjadi peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan mitra.

Abstract

Research on Decision Support Systems that can detect symptoms of positive Covid-19 patients. This study aims to help health workers apply IT in services to Covid-19 patients. Data taken from samples obtained directly from the Riau Provincial Health Office and Pekanbaru City Health Office and the official website of the National Covid-19 Management Agency. In this research, the team consists of the fields of computer science and psychology education in order to fulfill the aspects needed in improving the research results. The assessment aspect of the recommended criteria for Covid-19 tracing patients are 11 questions taken from the Riau Province Covid-19 website. The data is weighted and processed by SAW method Decision Support Systems. The results of the method processing is 3 decision recommendations that are indicated by Covid-19.

Abstract

Agroforestry applied to community gardens/yards around the Ghimbo Pomuan Indigenous Forest has the potential to be developed. The purpose of the study was to analyze the potential for agroforestry development of the community around the Ghimbo Pomuan Indigenous Forest, Kampar Riau. The method used in this research is a survey method. The survey method was carried out by structured interviews through questionnaires, identifying and making an inventory of fruit trees and agriculture with agroforestry patterns. Interviews were conducted to determine the types of fruit trees and agricultural products that have the potential to be developed by the community around the Ghimbo Pomuan Indigenous Forest. The results showed that the respondent's perception of the agroforestry system based on the Likert scale value had an average of 4.01. This shows that the respondent's knowledge of the agroforestry system is good. There were 29 types of trees, fruit and, agricultural crops, consisting of 19 families and 27 genera which were planted in the garden/yard with the respondent's agroforestry pattern. Generally, tree species are dominated by fruit trees. The combination of species in the agroforestry pattern is dominated by woody plants, namely rubber (Hevea bransiliasis) and coconut (Cocos nucifera). Types of fruit plants are sweet orange, longan, and guava image (Syzygium aqueum). While agricultural crops are dominated by bananas, corn, and chilies. The choice of combination of types of plants with agroforestry patterns is dominated by banana with longan, matoa with rimbang, chili, jambu citra with cassava.
