Abstract

This article investigates the distribution of zakat from agricultural products in Nagari Punggasan, West Sumatra. It employs a normative empirical method, analyzing legal provisions through a sociological and jurisprudential lens. Empirically, the study focuses on practices observed in Nagari Punggasan. The distribution of zakat from crops is calculated based on the capital utilized from the onset of cultivation until the harvest. Once the harvest is complete and the funds have been disbursed, the zakat obligation is considered fulfilled. This distribution process involves inviting all relevant community members, including Ninik Mamak, Labai, Imams, Khatibs, widows, and affluent individuals. However, this practice raises concerns regarding its alignment with Islamic teachings, particularly Surah At-Taubah, verse 60, which outlines the rightful recipients of zakat. According to the principles of Maqasid Shari'ah, the purpose of Shari'ah is to benefit humanity, ensuring both the spiritual and physical well-being of individuals and society at large. The objectives of Maqasid Shari'ah emphasize the importance of respecting the rights of the asnaf (eligible recipients) who are entitled to receive zakat.

Abstract

In the modern era, the Muslim world faces a new context that did not exist in previous eras. Modernization plays an important role in decisive events, both globally and in Muslim society, one of which is the study of Sufism. This is very interesting both in the context of Islamic teachings and in the context of the historical development of Islamic civilization. Many new ideas, both in terms of ontology, epistemology, and value theory, have flowed into the development of Sufism research. Can improve the practice of worship, morality, and spiritual matters. The fact is that Sufism cannot be separated from the framework of religious experience which is based on the Koran and Sunnah. This is what is called modern Sufism, a Sufism that brings progress, a spirit of monotheism, and is far from shirk, heresy, and superstition. Sufism is only a tool, not a goal. The essence of Sufism is an effort aimed at improving and purifying the mind, which can inspire thoughts in the form of increasing social sensitivity among Sufis. When science began to develop, followed by modern technology, in the Western world today it lost its human meaning, life was hampered by individualism, and love and friendship faded. People are preoccupied with competition and the benchmark of success lies in material things, they have been shunned, valued spiritually, and with God, so it is not surprising that lately Sufism has taken hold at the head of the spread. Sufism is a way to stay away from materialistic and worldly things because it contains a fairly rich and deep spiritual conception of Islam.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the role of parents in overcoming online game addiction in school-age children, particularly in managing children's study time by controlling the duration of game play. Using a qualitative approach and descriptive methods, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation from parents and students. The results of the study show that parents can reduce online game addiction by making clear agreements about playing time, providing guidance on the dangers of game addiction, and implementing an open and understanding communication approach. Data analysis was carried out in four stages: collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of emotional involvement and effective communication between parents and children in shaping healthy digital habits, as well as encouraging the development of digital parenting education programs that emphasize mutual agreements and strengthening family relationships.

Abstract

The petitioner filed a request for the determination of lineage to ensure the child's rights are fulfilled. Based on legal considerations, the Judge granted the request by considering the evidence presented, such as letters and witness testimonies. Legal facts indicate that the children were born from the lawful marriage of Petitioner I and II, thus they are eligible to be recognized as legitimate children. This chapter discusses the research findings and discussion regarding the background of the implementation of marriage reformation/tajdid nikah and the submission of requests for the determination of child's lineage in case No. 115/Pdt.P/2023/PA.PN at the Religious Court of Painan. The research method used by the researcher is a legal approach (state approach) with descriptive-analytical specifications in the case decision: 115/Pdt.P/2023/PA.PN. Results. Firstly, the reformation of marriage in Case 115/Pdt.P/2023/PA.PN is based on reasons that align with religious and governmental regulations, such as the previous marriage being terminated due to the waiting period (iddah), for administrative validity, and the marriage being conducted solely for the official record from the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA). Secondly, the background of the submission of the request for the determination of child's lineage is because Petitioner I and II had a secret marriage in 2015, were blessed with 2 children, their effort for formalizing the marriage was rejected, then they officially registered their marriage in 2023. The aim is to ensure the fulfillment of the children's rights such as birth certificates and education. Thirdly, in deciding the case of the child's lineage, the judge's consideration is based on juridical, philosophical, and sociological aspects, taking into account the fulfillment of the rights and welfare of the child.
