Abstract

This research was motivated by problems regarding the implementation of the School Literacy Movement (GLS) program for PKBM Bintang Flobamora students in Kupang City, the school literacy movement had not been implemented in accordance with the existing stages, namely the habituation stage, development stage and learning stage. Apart from these problems, there are also several obstacles that occur in implementing the school literacy movement program, such as, some students do not read but only look at pictures in books. This obstacle is a concern for the school. This research aims to determine the influence of the School Literacy Movement on the reading interest of residents studying at PKBM Bintang Flobamora, Kupang City. This type of research uses a quantitative approach with an ex post facto research design. The population used in this research was PKBM Bintang Flobamora study residents, Kupang City, total sampling, so the sample in this study was 30 study residents. Data collection techniques use questionnaires and documentation. Instrument testing uses validity and reliability. The data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis and prerequisite tests, namely normality test, linearity test, hypothesis test in the form of a simple linear regression test using the terms Ho, accepted and Ha, rejected. Based on data processing from research results with a sample size of 30 residents studying PKBM Bintang Flobamora, Kupang City, it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant influence between the implementation of the School Literacy Movement (GLS) on the reading interest of residents studying PKBM

Abstract

PSHT organization or otherwise known with SH Terate is something fraternity / college purposeful martial arts educate And form virtuous human _ sublime , you know Correct And Wrong . Role played _ PSHT organization in the Desa Maktihan Kabupaten Malaka, and description character para teenager before follow PSHT organization has character hard head or resistance behavior , like _ make riot , make trouble in environment , drinking alcohol. Study This aim For know Role Organization Brotherhood Loyal Heart Terate (PSHT) In Shaping Character Teenagers in the Desa Maktihan, Research This use method qualitative descriptive research carried out in the Desa Maktihan. As for technique data collection used in study This is interviews , observations And studies documentation . Based on results study concluded that Roles / activities carried out PSHT organization exists three that is help fellow PSHT members when experience grief , naibete cup and help public when experience disaster natural / flood . With activity This done can form character teenager like not quite enough responsibility , independence , leader , and unity . Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan rendahnya minat baca masyarakat pedesaan, khususnya di Desa Lilo, Kecamatan Amanatun Utara, Kabupaten Timor Tengah Selatan. Keterbatasan akses bahan bacaan, minimnya sarana literasi, dan minimnya kegiatan membaca menjadi tantangan tersendiri yang memerlukan solusi konkret. Rumah Literasi Thomas Edison hadir sebagai salah satu solusi dengan menerapkan berbagai strategi untuk meningkatkan minat baca masyarakat. Evaluasi dilakukan untuk menilai sejauh mana strategi tersebut memengaruhi pengembangan budaya baca di masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan lokasi penelitian di Rumah Literasi Thomas Edison Desa Lilo. Subjek penelitian meliputi pimpinan Rumah Literasi Thomas Edison, peserta program, dan warga masyarakat yang tidak mengikuti kegiatan. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara, observasi langsung, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan untuk memperoleh gambaran menyeluruh tentang efektivitas strategi yang diterapkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi yang diterapkan Rumah Literasi Thomas Edison meliputi: (1) Strategi sosialisasi aktif yang dilakukan melalui kegiatan sekolah dan gereja untuk memperluas jangkauan informasi dan meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya literasi. (2) Penyediaan bahan bacaan berkualitas yang disesuaikan dengan minat anak, disertai bimbingan khusus bagi mereka yang belum bisa membaca, merupakan langkah penting dalam menjangkau semua anak. (3) Penyelenggaraan kegiatan rutin setiap dua bulan, seperti lomba membaca, membaca cepat, serta menulis dan membaca puisi, terbukti efektif dalam menumbuhkan kreativitas, membangun rasa percaya diri, dan meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa anak. (4) Program dirancang agar selaras dengan kebutuhan dan budaya setempat, sehingga terasa relevan dan berhubungan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari masyarakat.
