Abstract

Evaluation instruments in teacher training are important elements to ensure the improvement of teaching competence and the effectiveness of the learning process. With the development of technology, digital-based evaluation instruments have emerged as a solution to provide faster and more accurate feedback. However, the use of technology in training evaluation still faces challenges, such as limited digital skills among some teachers. This study aims to develop a digital-based evaluation instrument and analyze its impact on teacher competency development. The approach used in this study is qualitative with a case study design, through in-depth interview techniques, participatory observation, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that digital-based evaluation instruments have a positive impact on teacher competency development by accelerating the process of self-reflection and improving teaching techniques. However, challenges related to technical limitations in some teachers require attention to ensure the effectiveness of using this instrument. These findings emphasize the importance of technology training to support continuous teacher professional development.

Abstract

This study focuses on the development of student worksheets (LKPD) based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) for Islamic Religious Education and Character Development subjects at SMPN 3 Palopo. Using the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation), this research aims to create learning materials that enhance students' critical thinking skills. Initial observations revealed that conventional teaching methods and materials were failing to engage students effectively, resulting in decreased learning motivation. The developed HOTS-based worksheets were validated by subject matter experts, media specialists, and language experts, achieving an average validation score of 90%, indicating high validity. During implementation with eighth-grade students, the worksheets demonstrated a practicality score of 87%. Academic performance improved significantly, with average test scores increasing from 65.3 on pre-tests to 85.7 on post-tests, representing a 31.3% improvement. Student feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with 93% reporting that the worksheets enhanced their understanding of the material, particularly when working on analysis and evaluation-based problems. The integration of religious values with critical thinking skills allowed students to not only understand religious concepts but also analyze their application in daily life. Despite these promising results, the study acknowledges limitations, including the restricted sample size from a single school and the relatively short research duration, which limits observation of long-term impacts. This research contributes significantly to the development of HOTS-based teaching materials in Islamic Religious Education and provides a model that can be adapted for other subjects to support higher-quality educational outcomes aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum's competency-based learning approach.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas suatu penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) yang interaktif menggunakan platform Canva dalam konteks pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di SMP Negeri 2 Bua Ponrang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menyajikan hasil uji kevalidan dan kepraktisan LKPD interaktif yang telah dikembangkan, selanjutnya menyajikan pula hasil identifikasi kendala dalam proses pengembangan, dan menguji kepraktisan LKPD dalam pembelajaran PAI dan budi pekerti di SMPN 2 Bua Ponrang. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan mengadopsi model ADDIE. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di kelas VII.3 SMPN 2 Bua Ponrang selama periode dua bulan, mulai dari 09 November 2023 hingga 09 Januari 2024. Partisipan penelitian meliputi ahli materi, ahli media, guru PAI, dan peserta didik kelas VII.3 SMPN 2 Bua Ponrang. Pendekatan pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi observasi, dokumentasi, wawancara, lembar validasi, dan angket praktikalitas. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif dan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan beberapa temuan signifikan. Pertama, proses pengembangan LKPD interaktif terdiri dari lima tahap, yaitu analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Kedua, kendala yang muncul dalam pengembangan LKPD mencakup kendala internal, seperti masalah desain, dan kendala eksternal, seperti masalah jaringan saat mengakses. Ketiga, hasil uji kepraktisan menunjukkan tingkat kepraktisan sebesar 100%, dengan respon peserta didik kelas VII.3 SMPN 2 Bua Ponrang mencapai 85%. Dengan demikian, secara keseluruhan, LKPD interaktif ini dinilai sangat praktis dengan rata-rata nilai persentase mencapai 91,2%. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa penggunaan LKPD interaktif dengan platform Canva dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran PAI dan budi pekerti di SMPN 2 Bua Ponrang. Selain itu, pemahaman terhadap kendala yang muncul dalam pengembangan LKPD juga dapat menjadi pedoman dalam penyempurnaan metode pembelajaran yang lebih efektif di masa mendatang.
