Abstract

Education is an important sector in the development of a country, and effective utilization of educational resources plays a major role in achieving these goals. However, in Indonesia, the utilization of educational resources still faces various challenges, especially related to the unequal distribution of resources between urban and remote areas. This study aims to analyze the utilization of educational resources in Indonesia, both in terms of the quality of educators, educational facilities, and available technology. The research method used is a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis to describe the current conditions and existing challenges. The results of the study show that despite government efforts, there is still a large gap in access to education between developed and disadvantaged areas. Assistance programs such as the School Operational Assistance Fund (BOS) and the Smart Indonesia Program (PIP) have not fully reached areas in need. The quality of educators is also a major obstacle, especially in the 3T (frontier, outermost, and disadvantaged) areas, where many teachers have not received adequate training. In addition, the problem of uneven distribution of educational infrastructure is a major obstacle in creating a conducive learning environment. This study suggests the need for equal distribution of education budgets, improvement of teacher quality through continuous training, and more transparent and efficient management of existing education resources. The implementation of educational technology is also expected to improve the quality of learning in areas with physical limitations. In the long term, more inclusive and locally data-based policies will strengthen Indonesia's education system. Abstract

Evaluation of Islamic educational institutions is a systematic process to assess the extent to which Islamic educational institutions carry out their functions, achieve their goals, and meet the established quality standards, both in terms of managerial, administrative, and academic aspects. This evaluation not only functions as a performance measurement tool, but also as a means of reflection and continuous improvement in order to improve the quality of education based on Islamic values. The dimensions of institutional evaluation include various important aspects such as the vision and mission of the institution, curriculum, educators, students, community facilities and infrastructure, institutional management, and the relationship between the institution and. The main purpose of this evaluation is to ensure the quality of education, encourage public accountability, and ensure the relevance of the institution to the needs of the times and the demands of Islamic law. In its context, institutional evaluation is not only administrative and technocratic, but also transformative, namely serving to guide institutions in carrying out comprehensive structural and cultural improvements in order to be able to produce generations that excel spiritually, intellectually, and socially.

Abstract

The classical era presented many great figures who made important contributions to the philosophy of education and its management. Among the most influential figures are Plato from Greece, Confucius from China, and Al-Farabi from the Islamic world. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the history of educational management in the Classical era: Plato, Confucius, Al-Farabi. Using the Library Research method. The results of the study show that education has been seen from the beginning as an important means in forming a complete human being. Plato, Confucius, and Al-Farabi as great figures from Greece, China, and the Islamic world made fundamental contributions to the concept of education that emphasizes the development of reason, morals, and spirituality. Their thoughts were born from different cultural backgrounds and civilizations, but had the same goal, namely to form people with character, knowledge, and contribute to society and the state. This shows that classical education is not just a transfer of knowledge, but also a means of forming individuals and civilization.

Abstract

Abstract: The supervisory program for overseeing the performance of madrasah principals still appears to be challenging; the program does not yet seem fully structured, sustainable, or well-aligned with stakeholders. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the supervisors’ supervision program in improving the quality of madrasah principals’ performance at MTsN 2 South Bengkulu. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with the CIPP evaluation model approach (Context, Input, Process, Product). The research subjects include madrasah supervisors, madrasah principals, vice principals, and senior teachers. The research results show that: (1) The context of the supervisors' supervision program has provided guidance and coaching to madrasah principals in preparing programs and managing the madrasah; (2) The program inputs include supervisory oversight, limited number of supervisors, facilities and infrastructure, as well as information technology support, which become the main obstacles, in addition to human resources whose capacity still needs improvement; (3) The process of supervision has covered management functions such as planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation, although the frequency of supervision is still low and follow-up on supervision results has not been optimal; (4) As for the product, the supervisors' supervision program has made a positive contribution to improving the managerial competence of madrasah principals, although the results achieved are not yet optimal and improvements in the implementation of supervision as well as collaboration among stakeholders are still needed. Thus, it can be concluded that the evaluation of the supervisors' supervision program can improve the quality of the performance of madrasah principals. Therefore, it is recommended that, in order to enhance the performance quality of madrasah principals, the evaluation of the supervisors’ supervision program in madrasahs should be strengthened.Keywords: Supervisory Supervision Program Evaluation, Madrasah Principal Performance.Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi program supervisi pengawas dalam meningkatkan kualitas kinerja kepala madrasah di MTsN 2 Bengkulu Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan model evaluasi CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product). Subjek penelitian terdiri dari pengawas madrasah, kepala madrasah, wakil kepala madrasah, dan guru senior di MTsN 2 Bengkulu Selatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Pada aspek konteks, program supervisi pengawas telah memberikan arahan dan pembinaan kepada kepala madrasah dalam menciptakan lingkungan madrasah yang kondusif serta mendorong inovasi kepemimpinan (2) Dari sisi input, keterbatasan jumlah pengawas, sarana prasarana, serta dukungan teknologi informasi menjadi kendala utama, di samping sumber daya manusia yang masih perlu ditingkatkan kapasitasnya; (3) Pada evaluasi proses, pelaksanaan supervisi telah meliputi fungsi-fungsi manajemen seperti perencanaan, pelaksanaan, monitoring, dan evaluasi, namun frekuensi supervisi masih rendah dan tindak lanjut hasil supervisi belum maksimal; (4) Berdasarkan evaluasi produk, program supervisi pengawas telah memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan kompetensi manajerial kepala madrasah, meskipun hasil yang dicapai belum optimal dan masih diperlukan perbaikan dalam pelaksanaan supervisi serta kolaborasi antar pemangku kepentingan.Kata kunci: Evaluasi Program Supervisi Pengawas, Kinerja Kepala Madrasah.
