Abstract

Prolonged labor is the final stage of a labor that is obstructed and lasts too long, a condition that is common in primiparous pregnant women. The WHO estimates that prolonged labor currently occurs in 17% of all deliveries worldwide. The Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS) reports that prolonged labor is the majority of childbirth complications (30%). To facilitate normal labor, prenatal exercise is performed to reduce the incidence of prolonged labor. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between prenatal exercise and parity with the duration of the active phase of the first stage of labor among women giving birth at the Neneng Halimatul Sa'diah TPMB, South Cikarang, in 2025.This study was quantitative analytical, using a cross-sectional study design. The sample consisted of 80 women giving birth at the Neneng Halimatul Sa'diah TPMB, South Cikarang, between January and June 2025. The instruments used in this study were primary and secondary data. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test. The results showed that the variables associated with the duration of the first stage of labor during the active phase in women giving birth at the TPMB Neneng Halimatul Sa'diah, South Cikarang were pregnancy exercise (P-value = 0.002) with an OR of 80.00 (95% CI 21.40-467.3) and parity (P-value = 0.039) with an OR of 0.255 (95% CI 0.077-0.847).Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between pregnancy exercise and parity variables with the duration of the first stage of labor during the active phase in women giving birth at the TPMB Neneng Halimatul Sa'diah, South Cikarang. Pregnant women are expected to maintain their pregnancies and are encouraged to participate in pregnancy exercise programs so that the delivery process proceeds normally. Abstract

Background: Perineal wounds are a common complication experienced by postpartum mothers due to childbirth. Suboptimal wound care can lead to infection and slow the healing process. One alternative therapy that can be used to accelerate wound healing is a decoction of binahong leaves (Anredera cordifolia), which contains saponins, flavonoids, and polyphenols that play a role in tissue regeneration and anti-inflammatory effects. Objective: This study aimed to determine the effect of binahong leaf decoction therapy on accelerating perineal wound healing in postpartum mothers in the Cilamaya Baru Ward at Karawang Regional Hospital. Methods : This study used a pre-experimental design with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design approach. The population was all postpartum mothers with perineal wounds in the Cilamaya Baru Ward at Karawang Regional Hospital. A sample of 16 respondents was selected using purposive sampling. The binahong leaf decoction therapy was administered twice daily for three days. The data collection instrument used the REEDA scale (Redness, Edema, Ecchymosis, Discharge, Approximation) observation sheet. Data analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with a significance level of 0.05. Results: The average REEDA score before therapy was 6.25 and after therapy was 2.18. The Wilcoxon test showed a p-value of 0.001 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference between before and after administration of binahong leaf decoction therapy. Conclusion: Binahong leaf decoction therapy is effective in accelerating perineal wound healing in postpartum mothers in the Cilamaya Baru Ward of Karawang Regional Hospital

Abstract

Auditory hallucinations are one of the main symptoms in schizophrenia patients which often cause emotional distress and maladaptive behavior. Psychoreligious approaches such as dhikr therapy are believed to help reduce the intensity of hallucinations by increasing mental calm and spiritual strengthening of patients. To determine the effect of implementing dhikr psychoreligious therapy on reducing the intensity of auditory hallucinations in schizophrenia patients in the working area of the Koncara Community Health Center UPTD, Purwakarta Regency. This study used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The sample size was 30 respondents with a purposive sampling technique. The intervention in the form of dhikr therapy (istighfar, tasbih, tahmid, and tahlil) was carried out for 7 consecutive days, twice a day (morning and evening). Measurement of hallucination intensity was carried out using a hallucination intensity observation sheet before and after the intervention. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The average hallucination score before therapy was 16.4, and after therapy it decreased to 10.2. The Wilcoxon test results showed a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05), indicating a significant difference between before and after dhikr therapy. Conclusion: Dhikr psychoreligious therapy is effective in reducing the intensity of auditory hallucinations in schizophrenia patients. This therapy can be used as a non-pharmacological intervention to support the healing process of patients with mental disorders.
