Abstract

Vegetative propagation is an effective method for producing high quality plant seeds with similar characteristics to the parent plant. Techniques such as grafting and grafting are used to accelerate growth and increase plant resistance to pests and diseases. The advantages of this method compared to generative propagation include a faster fruiting period and consistency in the aroma and taste of the fruit. This research also highlights the importance of genetic compatibility between rootstock and scion and the use of phytohormones in the success of vegetative propagation techniques. The results show that both techniques can increase plant productivity, speed up fruiting time, and produce plants that are stronger and more adaptive to environmental conditions

Abstract

Evolution is characterized by changes over time with one or more inherited traits that we often find in populations of organisms. Fossils themselves can be said to be traces/remains/marks of a life of an organism (animal/plant) that can be directly or indirectly preserved with the earth's crust, naturally occurring and usually solid/hard with a geological age of more than 11,000 years. Horse evolution is one of the interesting adaptations, with morphological changes related to environmental changes. The purpose of this study was to determine the evolution of horses from the fossils found and, to find out how to adapt and the changes that occur from the environment and factors of natural selection. The method used in this study is a literature review from several reference sources. Horse evolution shows how species can adapt to the environment through significant morphological changes, such as a reduction in the number of fingers and an increase in body size. and the role of natural selection in forming physical characteristics that support survival.

Abstract

Plants are eukaryotic organisms that are multicellular and autotrophic. Inventory is an action to collect data regarding biodiversity. The inventory process requires exploration and identification of a plant which includes the name of the type, number of types, size and benefits of the plant type. The plants around Uin Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung consist of several families, among which there are the Asparagaceae, Moraceae and Myrtaceae families. This research was conducted at the Sunan Gunung State Islamic University and aims to determine the types of plants of the Asparagaceae, Myrtaceae and Moraceae families located in that area. This research uses data collection techniques by direct observation in the area. Thus, this research is a descriptive qualitative research type. Based on the results of observations and exploration at Sunan Gunung Djati Islamic University, Bandung, 3 different families have been found, namely Asparagaceae with 4 different species, Myrtaceae with 2 different species and Moraceae with 3 different species.
