Abstract

Vegetative propagation is an effective method for producing high quality plant seeds with similar characteristics to the parent plant. Techniques such as grafting and grafting are used to accelerate growth and increase plant resistance to pests and diseases. The advantages of this method compared to generative propagation include a faster fruiting period and consistency in the aroma and taste of the fruit. This research also highlights the importance of genetic compatibility between rootstock and scion and the use of phytohormones in the success of vegetative propagation techniques. The results show that both techniques can increase plant productivity, speed up fruiting time, and produce plants that are stronger and more adaptive to environmental conditions

Abstract

The development of the nervous system is a crucial process during early organogenesis that impacts overall body function. This research aims to understand the mechanisms involved in the formation of the nervous system, focusing on early embryonic development. Previous studies indicate that interactions between genetic and environmental factors significantly influence this development, yet many specific aspects remain to be explored. This study provides an in-depth analysis of the role of progenitor cells and molecular signals in neuron differentiation. By identifying the pathways involved, it aims to uncover new approaches to understanding developmental disorders of the nervous system. Utilizing experimental methods and systematic data analysis, this research not only enhances our understanding of the fundamental mechanisms of nervous system development but also opens possibilities for developing therapies for related disorders

Abstract

The study was conducted on Sunday, June 09, 2024 in order to inventory and also identify plants that have potential as herbal plants in the thick of stone fruit in Bandung City, West Java province. this study aims to determine the types of plants that can be used as a natural traditional medicine. This study was conducted by going around the garden and identifying some of those identified using the PlantNet application, collecting data, and calculating the number of individuals, Diversity Index, dominance, evenness, and also wealth. From the results obtained as many as 14 plants that have the potential to become herbal plants, namely: Citrus aurantifolia, Mannihot esculenta, Carica papaya lin, Persea americana Mill, Aloe sp., Curcuma longa, Moringa olifera L., Cymbopogan nardus L., Magnifera indica L., Piper betle, Manilkara zapota (L), Artocarpus heterophyllus, Polyscias scutellaria, Solanum torvum Swartz.

Abstract

Rapid global population growth has led to climate change and agricultural land degradation, posing significant challenges to the stability of global food security. The traditional livestock sector is known to absorb high levels of greenhouse gas emissions that can accelerate natural resource degradation and require innovative and sustainable approaches to meet the demand for animal protein. This study aims to analyze the contribution of cultured meat technology as an ethical and environmentally friendly alternative to improving global food security. This study uses a desk study method that addresses the technical, social, economic, and ethical aspects of cultured meat production. The analysis results indicate that the application of this technology has the potential to reduce land use and carbon emissions by up to 70% compared to conventional livestock systems, in addition to reducing animal suffering and the risk of zoonotic disease transmission. However, its application still faces several obstacles, such as high production costs, dependence on whey-based culture media, and difficulties in halal certification and public acceptance. These findings underscore the importance of synergy between scientists, governments, and religious authorities to ensure the safety, effectiveness, and equivalence of technology with ethical principles and socio-cultural values. With strong regulatory support and ongoing research, cultured meat technology has the potential to be a strategic solution for building a resilient, equitable, and environmentally responsible global food system.
