Abstract

This study examines the influence of work-life balance and job satisfaction on work stress levels among married policewomen (Polwan) in the Central Java Regional Police. The issue often arises for policewomen who must balance their roles as both employees and homemakers, frequently leading to work-related stress. This research aims to determine the extent to which work-life balance and job satisfaction affect stress levels in policewomen. The study involved 102 married policewomen with children. Data were collected using work-life balance, job satisfaction, and work stress scales, and analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques. The results showed that 57% of policewomen had low levels of work-life balance, 46% had low job satisfaction, and 45% experienced moderate work stress levels. Moreover, work-life balance contributed 50.5% and job satisfaction contributed 38% to work stress levels. The conclusion of this study highlights the importance of managing work-life balance and job satisfaction to reduce work stress among married policewomen. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini membahas tentang pengaruh work-life balance dan kepuasan kerja terhadap tingkat stres kerja pada polisi wanita (Polwan) yang sudah menikah di Polda Jawa Tengah. Masalah sering terjadi pada Polwan yang harus menyeimbangkan peran sebagai pekerja dan ibu rumah tangga, yang seringkali menyebabkan stres kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana work-life balance dan kepuasan kerja mempengaruhi tingkat stres pada Polwan. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 102 Polwan yang sudah menikah dan memiliki anak. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan skala work-life balance, skala kepuasan kerja, dan skala stres kerja, yang dianalisis menggunakan teknik regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 57% Polwan memiliki tingkat work-life balance rendah, 46% memiliki kepuasan kerja rendah, dan 45% berada pada tingkat stres kerja sedang. Selain itu, work-life balance memberikan pengaruh sebesar 50,5% dan kepuasan kerja sebesar 38% terhadap tingkat stres kerja. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah pentingnya pengelolaan work-life balance dan kepuasan kerja untuk mengurangi stres kerja pada Polwan yang sudah menikah.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work-life balance and organizational perception on employee engagement through psychological well-being among members of the Central Java Regional Police Traffic Directorate. The research method used is quantitative, with a population of 332 respondents. For sampling, the researcher employed purposive sampling, resulting in a sample of 120 respondents who met the criteria. Data collection was conducted using a scale method comprising the Work-Life Balance Scale, Perceived Organization Scale, Employee Engagement Scale, and Psychological Well-Being Scale. Furthermore, the analysis method used in this study was Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using the SmartPLS 4.0 application. The results obtained in this study indicate that work-life balance affects employee engagement (T Statistic= 2.753; P=0.000), perceived organization also affects employee engagement (T Statistic=5.055; P=0.000), Psychological Well-Being influences Employee Engagement (T Statistic=5.131; P=0.000), Work-Life Balance influences Psychological Well-Being (T Statistic=4.477; P=0.000), Psychological Well-Being influences Employee Engagement (T Statistic=3.138; P=0.002), furthermore, Work-Life Balance influences Employee Engagement through Psychological Well-Being (T Statistic=1.998; P=0.031), while Perceived Organization does not influence Employee Engagement through Psychological Well-Being (T Statistic=1.693; P=0.091).
