Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the Performance of the Balikpapan City Trade Office in supervising the distribution of subsidized fertilizers, which is an important element in supporting the agricultural sector and food security. Subsidized fertilizers play a role in providing access to farmers to obtain fertilizers at affordable prices, but challenges such as uncertainty of supply and uneven distribution are still problems. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection through documentation and interviews. The results of the study indicate that the trade office has implemented integrated and comprehensive supervision standards, including planning, implementation, and monitoring of fertilizer distribution. Although there has been progress in the availability of fertilizers, the evaluation indicates the need for improvements in inter-agency cooperation and distribution systems to increase the effectiveness of supervision. With reports on the circulation of fake fertilizers, the Trade Office conducts direct supervision at kiosks and farmer groups and coordinates with related agencies to ensure effective distribution

Abstract

This study analyzes the role of Market Operations carried out by the Balikpapan City Trade Office in an effort to maintain the stability of staple food prices and reduce the impact of inflation. Using a qualitative approach through interviews and observations, this study was conducted to evaluate whether the activity was effective in stabilizing staple food prices and increasing people's purchasing power. This study shows that Market Operations make a significant contribution to the provision of staple food at affordable prices, as well as increasing access for lower-middle class groups. This study suggests the need to increase the frequency and reach of market operations as part of regional economic policies in order to achieve better food security in Balikpapan City.

Abstract

Community Service (PkM) is one of the pillars in the tridharma of higher education which aims to provide a real impact on society. This study develops an e-marketplace application "Gallery PkM Universitas Terbuka" as a solution to improve the marketing of products resulting from community service. The method used is Rapid Application Development (RAD), which allows rapid application development with repeated iterations. The results of the study show that this application makes it easy for students, lecturers, and the community to access and market products. The trial of Universitas Terbuka students showed a satisfaction level of 73.14%, which is included in the "Good" category. However, there are several aspects that need to be improved, such as improving image editing features, optimizing product displays, and developing payment options. With this application, it is hoped that the marketing of PkM products can be more optimal, expanding reach, and increasing the economic independence of the community.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan sinergi lintas sektor yang dibangun melalui rapat koordinasi antarinstansi dalam menjaga stabilitas stok dan harga barang kebutuhan pokok di Kota Balikpapan menjelang Hari Besar Keagamaan Nasional (HBKN) Natal 2025 dan Tahun Baru 2026. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi dokumentasi dan analisis hasil rapat koordinasi yang dipimpin oleh Dinas Perdagangan Kota Balikpapan. Kegiatan ini melibatkan Perum BULOG Kaltimtara, Pertamina Patra Niaga, Bank Indonesia, Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), Badan Meteorologi Klimatologi dan Geofisika (BMKG), Satgas Pangan Polresta Balikpapan, serta Dinas Ketahanan Pangan, Pertanian, dan Perikanan Kota Balikpapan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa sinergi antarinstansi telah membentuk kesiapan yang kuat dalam menjamin ketersediaan bahan pokok dan menekan potensi gejolak harga menjelang HBKN. Koordinasi lintas sektor ini berfungsi sebagai sistem peringatan dini dan memperkuat ketahanan ekonomi daerah melalui pembagian peran yang jelas antar lembaga. Pengabdian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan ilmu kebijakan publik dan pendidikan ekonomi melalui praktik kolaboratif yang konkret dalam pengendalian inflasi di tingkat daerah.
