Abstract

The learning process is identical to the use of learning media in the process of delivering learning material. The aim of this research is to find out how the development, effectiveness, and user response to pinkal learning media. Pinkal learning media is needed by teachers in the multiplication learning process, especially in solving multiplication story problems. The method used in this research is the R&D method. This development research uses the ADDIE research design proposed by Robert Maribe Branch. The subjects of this research were class IV students at SDN Pondok Bambu 06, East Jakarta. Data collection techniques use interviews, expert reviews, student response questionnaires, pretest-posttest, and documentation. Data was analyzed using quantitative and qualitative methods. The validation results from the two material experts obtained a total percentage of 100% with very feasible interpretation criteria. The validation results from the two media experts got a total percentage of 93% with very feasible interpretation criteria and the validation results from the two linguists got a total percentage of 99% with very feasible interpretation criteria. The results of the expert review show that pinkal learning media is very worthy of development. The effectiveness of the pretest and posttest results shows that learning with pinkal learning media has a significant effect on student learning outcomes. Student responses obtained a total percentage of 100% with very appropriate interpretation criteria. Based on the results of expert reviews, effectiveness and student responses, it can be concluded that pinkal learning media is effective for development.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of the STEAM approach implemented with principles of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in improving elementary students' environmental awareness. A quantitative method was used with a one-group pretest-posttest design. Thirty fifth-grade students participated in a four-week project-based learning program. The results showed an increase in the average environmental awareness score from 69.5 (pretest) to 83.2 (posttest), with a significance value of p = 0.000 < 0.05. Project-based learning that applied ESD principles within a STEAM approach helped students understand environmental issues concretely and encouraged pro-environmental attitudes. The study concludes that integrating ESD principles into STEAM-based learning is effective in fostering early environmental awareness. The implication is that this model can be adopted as a contextual learning strategy in primary education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji efektivitas pendekatan STEM berbasis Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs) dalam meningkatkan literasi lingkungan dan kesadaran sosial-ekologis siswa sekolah dasar. Menggunakan desain explanatory sequential mixed-methods, intervensi dilakukan selama tujuh minggu pada 120 siswa kelas V di Jawa Barat. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada kelompok eksperimen dengan effect size besar (literasi lingkungan d=0,89; kesadaran sosial-ekologis d=0,68). Analisis tematik mengungkap keterlibatan emosional, pemaknaan tanggung jawab sosial-ekologis, serta refleksi nilai SDGs dalam proses belajar. Kendala utama meliputi keterbatasan kompetensi guru dan fasilitas. Implikasi penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi STEM dan SDGs efektif membentuk fondasi pendidikan berkelanjutan sejak dini. Pendekatan ini relevan sebagai strategi transformatif dalam pendidikan dasar untuk membekali siswa menghadapi tantangan lingkungan global.

Abstract

This study investigates elementary teachers’ perceptions and readiness to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into classroom practices in South Cikarang, Indonesia. Using a descriptive quantitative design, data were collected from 20 teachers across six schools through a validated questionnaire. Findings reveal generally positive perceptions, with high agreement on AI’s potential to enhance efficiency, creativity, and assessment support, alongside strong demand for training. Teachers emphasized AI as a supportive tool rather than a replacement, reflecting pragmatic optimism and relatively low concern about job displacement. However, institutional readiness remains uneven, with significant differences between public and private schools and across school contexts. The results highlight the need for targeted professional development, robust infrastructure, and clear governance frameworks to ensure AI adoption protects teacher agency while improving educational quality. The study also extends the Technology Acceptance Model by emphasizing institutional support as a key moderating factor.

Abstract

Siswa Sekolah Dasar dalam masa tahap operasional konkret. Pada tahap ini, siswa Sekolah Dasar membutuhkan media konkret untuk berpikir secara logis. Siswa Sekolah Dasar dituntut untuk memiliki pemahaman konseptual yang kuat, yang berfokus pada operasi perkalian dan pembagian yang menjadi kemampuan dasar untuk memahami numerik secara lanjut. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa banyak dari peserta didik yang keliru dengan konsep dasar perkalian dan pembagian, karena pembelajaran berfokus pada simbol dan hafalan tanpa media konkret. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan adanya pengembangan media pembelajaran matemateka dengan media konkret untuk memvisualisasikan konsep. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengembangan, efektivitas, serta mengetahui respons pengguna terhadap media pembelajaran papan pintar perkalian dan pembagian. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode R&D desain ADDIE. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas IV. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara guru, observasi kelas, telaah modul ajar, serta posttest di akhir pembelajaran. Data dianalisis menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil analisis deskriptif menggunakan SPSS terhadap nilai posttest mendapatkan nilai rata-rata (mean) sebesar 90,36 dan standar deviasi 12,392. Hasil rata-rata yang berada jauh di atas batas ketuntasan minimal yang mengindikasikan bahwa sebagian besar siswa mampu mencapai pemahaman konsep perkalian dan pembagian dengan baik setelah penggunaan media tersebut. Abstract

This study was driven by the observed deficiencies in elementary students’ critical thinking skills and science literacy, which are essential foundations for advancing Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 on quality education and SDG 13 on climate action. The novelty of this research resides in the contextual integration of STEM-based problem learning focused on climate change issue at the elementary school level, complemented by an integrated evaluation of 21st-century skills development and its alignment with the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Unlike previous STEM-PBL studies that primarily emphasize cognitive gains or general STEM competencies, this study uniquely embeds climate change as an authentic problem context and systematically links learning outcomes tothe SDG framework, providing a clearer pedagogical contribution and comparative advantage. The method used in this study was a quasi-experiment with a non-equivalent control group design. Thesample consisted of 62 fourth-grade elementary school students divided into two groups, an experimental group that received STEM-based problem learning and a control group that received conventional instruction. The research instruments comprised a critical thinking skills tests and a science literacy questionnaire, which had been validated by experts. The data were analyzed using inferential statistical tests, and including t-tests. The results indicated that the experimental group exposed to STEM-based problem learning experienced a statistically significant increase in critical thinking skills and science literacy compared to the control group. Students were actively engaged in all stages of the problem, ranging from design and implementation to the presentation of innovative solutions. Thefindings confirm that STEM-based problem learning is not only effective in enhancing students' cognitive and science literacy competencies but also plays a strategic role in fostering awareness of global issues, particularly climate change. Therefore, this model is proposed as an innovative pedagogical approach to advance the attainment of SDG 4 and SDG 13 within the context of elementary education. These contributions collectively position the study as a more contextually grounded and SDG-responsive extension of prior STEM-PBL research.

Abstract

Transformasi digital dalam pendidikan mendorong guru untuk mengintegrasikan teknologi inovatif dalam pembelajaran, termasuk Artificial Intelligence (AI). Namun, banyak guru sekolah dasar masih menghadapi keterbatasan dalam memanfaatkan teknologi tersebut secara pedagogis. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru sekolah dasar dalam memanfaatkan AI untuk mendukung pembelajaran berbasis deep learning dalam Kurikulum Merdeka. Program dilaksanakan di salah satu sekolah dasar di Jakarta Timur dengan melibatkan 25 guru sebagai peserta. Metode kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan capacity building melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan yang meliputi tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan tindak lanjut. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test, observasi, serta kuesioner respon peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman guru mengenai konsep deep learning dengan peningkatan skor rata-rata dari 62,40 menjadi 84,16. Selain itu, guru menunjukkan peningkatan kompetensi digital dalam memanfaatkan AI untuk merancang bahan ajar, media pembelajaran, dan instrumen evaluasi. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan berbasis praktik efektif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogis dan digital guru serta mendukung inovasi pembelajaran di sekolah dasar.
