Abstract

This research is a case study that aims to analyze the implementation of the Madrasah Merdeka Curriculum (KMM) at MTs Muhammadiyah Al-Muhajirin Gunung Kidul in the context of the policy of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Number 347 of 2022 and the dynamics of the Society 5.0 era. The reason for raising this theme is the need for educational institutions, especially madrasah, to be able to adapt to educational transformations that emphasize strengthening character, digital skills, and response to social change. This study aims to describe the process of design, implementation, and evaluation of KMM carried out by MTs Muhammadiyah Al-Muhajirin, as well as the extent to which these practices are aligned with applicable national policies. The research method uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through participant observation, in-depth interviews with key informants, and analysis of official documents related to KMA RI guidelines No. 347 of 2022. The results showed that the implementation of KMM at MTs Muhammadiyah Al-Muhajirin has reflected most of the principles and guidelines of KMA RI No. 347 of 2022 in daily learning activities, although there are still challenges in terms of technology integration and overall strengthening of student character, and the implementation of KMM has a positive impact on the development of student competencies, especially in critical thinking skills, collaboration, and technology utilization in accordance with the demands of the Society 5.0 era. These findings have significance as a strategic reference for other madrasahs in developing and implementing curriculum policies that are adaptive and contextual to the times.

Abstract

This study aims to fill the research gap related to the implementation of effective educational strategies in increasing religious tolerance and moderation, which has not been explored empirically. The method used is library research with a qualitative approach. Data were collected from academic literature, articles, official documents, then analyzed using a comparative approach to compare educational strategies implemented in various Islamic institutions. The results showed that the integration of the concepts of religious tolerance and moderation in the Islamic education curriculum has improved the values of togetherness, patience and justice among students. The most effective educational strategies include contextual approaches, interfaith dialog and community activities. Factors such as social environment, government policies and socio-economic status play an important role in supporting the implementation of these strategies. The implications of the findings suggest the need for more comprehensive Islamic education curriculum development, teacher training to teach tolerance values, and collaboration between educational institutions and the community. This research contributes to the development of Islamic education theory by strengthening the role of education as an agent of social change.

Abstract

The main objective of this research is to assess the Financial Performance of the Regional Government of Sigi Regency from 2018 to 2023 by utilising a financial ratio analysis model including independence ratio, degree of decentralisation, efficiency and effectiveness of Local Own-Source Revenue (PAD), and regional expenditure compatibility ratio. The study relies on secondary data extracted from the Sigi Regency Budget Realisation Report (LRA). A quantitative descriptive approach was adopted for this analysis. The findings indicate that regional financial independence is alarmingly low, with a noticeable trend of reliance on central government funds. The degree of decentralisation is also critically lacking, exemplified by the minimal contribution of PAD to the overall regional revenue. On the other hand, the performance of local revenue sources is relatively positive, with revenue often surpassing the predetermined targets. However, the efficiency of financial management is still an obstacle, especially in the last few years where expenditures exceeded local revenues, thus reflecting the less than optimal use of the budget. The structure of regional expenditure also shows imbalances, with the dominance of operational expenditure being much greater than capital expenditure. These findings emphasize the importance of efforts to strengthen fiscal independence and improve efficiency in budget management to support the sustainability of development in Sigi Regency.

The results showed that Darussalam Gontor Islamic Boarding School implemented an integrated curriculum-based education management strategy and habituation approach. First, the value of tolerance and national commitment is instilled through multiculturalism-based learning and strengthening of national insight. Second, the value of anti-radicalism is taught through balanced religious understanding (wasathiyah) and religious-humanist character building. Third, accommodation to local culture is realized through the integration of pesantren culture with local wisdom in learning activities and the daily life of students
