Abstract

This study explores the implementation of religious practices in schools and their influence on shaping students' attitudes toward religious moderation at SMAN 1 Bandung. Using a mixed-methods approach, the research combines observations of worship activities and survey data to analyze the relationship between these practices and students' moderate attitudes. The findings reveal a positive and significant correlation, with a Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.439, indicating that consistent worship routines are associated with higher levels of religious moderation. These routines, such as communal prayers, Quranic recitation, and weekly religious discussions, contribute to instilling core values like discipline, appreciation of diversity, and social solidarity. This study underscores that worship practices not only strengthen spiritual aspects but also serve as a practical tool for fostering inclusivity and harmony in pluralistic societies. The research offers valuable insights for educational institutions aiming to promote religious moderation through structured character education programs. Abstract

Although education has long been recognized as a science, the advent of the digital era has introduced new challenges regarding its relevance and effectiveness in preparing learners to meet the ever-changing demands of the workforce. Many educational institutions have not yet fully integrated digital technology optimally into the learning process, resulting in a gap between educational theory and its application in a digital context. This study aims to explore the extent to which education as a science can adapt to the developments of the digital era and how the education system can respond to the growing need for digital skills among learners. This research utilizes data sources based on literature from previous relevant studies. The article employs a qualitative approach with a literature review method to analyze the research themes. The process begins with the identification of relevant topics, followed by the collection of various literature sources. The researcher then analyzes the data to identify significant patterns and themes. The analysis results are synthesized by integrating findings from various sources, yielding a comprehensive understanding. This study demonstrates that education as a science has significant potential to adapt to the digital era. Therefore, the current education system needs to innovate and transform to meet the digital skill requirements of learners. This research implies the necessity for educational responsiveness, emphasizing the need for collaboration between curriculum developers and education practitioners to ensure that education not only keeps pace with technological advancements but also provides relevant and adaptive skills.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze existentialism and pragmatism as two schools of philosophy that have been influential in providing views on the meaning and benefits of life for humans. Existentialism and pragmatism are taken as the focus because they offer different approaches to understanding life—existentialism emphasizes individual freedom in creating the meaning of life, while pragmatism places more emphasis on the practical usefulness of ideas and actions. The research method used is content analysis, which involves studying the works of major philosophers from both schools, such as Jean-Paul Sartre, Martin Heidegger, William James, and John Dewey. Data were obtained from various classical philosophical texts as well as articles and books that discuss the practical application of both philosophies in everyday life. The results of the study show that existentialism provides a deep understanding of freedom, responsibility, and the meaning of life that comes from within the individual, while pragmatism offers a view that is more oriented towards the real benefits of actions and ideas, by assessing values based on the practical results produced. This study concludes that although these two schools have different approaches, they complement each other in helping modern individuals find a balance between the search for deep meaning and the need for beneficial outcomes, thus providing a more holistic and relevant perspective in living human life in today's complex era.
