Abstract

Seeds are a valuable plant material for agriculture. The Kuantan Singingi district has many local rice seeds that can be developed, but these have not yet passed standard testing. This study aimed to determine the physical and physiological qualities of the seeds of two local rice genotypes in Kuantan Singingi Regency. This research was conducted in a completely randomized design (CRD), which was repeated four times. The factor tested consisted of two rice genotypes: the white and yellow genotypes. เว็บสล็อต | R4shub The parameters observed were the percentage of the First Count Test (FCT) of germination capacity (GP), Maximum Growth Potential (MGP), Root and Shoot Growth Test (RSGT), and Seedling Growth Rate Test (SGRT). The collected data were analyzed by ANOVA at the 5% level and further tested by the LSD test. The results showed that FCT (%), GP (%), and Vigor (%) provide high figures according to SNI. Meanwhile, the IVT of all seeds on day 2 germinated. Based on the data from the RSGT and SGRT, all seed growth was normal.  Keywords: Kuantan Singingi, local seeds, viability, vigor

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan kebutuhan setiap orang dalam kehidupannya. Guru adalah pendidik profesional dengan tugas utama mendidik, mengajar, membimbing, mengarahkan, melatih, menilai dan mengevaluasi peserta didik. Ada beberapa sekolah yang melakukan pengangkatan pengangkatan guru mata pelajaran penjasorkes yang bukan berdasarkan disiplin ilmu itu sendiri. Hal ini terjadi karena kurangnya tenaga pendidik yang sesuai dengan disiplin ilmu yang dibutuhkan di Sekolah tersebut, dan ada yang beranggapan profesi guru penjasorkes sangat mudah dan bisa dilakukan oleh guru manapun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru penjasorkes di sekolah menenagah pertama negeri se-kecamatan galing. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yakni seluruh sekolah menengah pertama negeri dan MTS dikecamatan Galing. Pengambilan sampel dalam peneltian ini menggunakan Teknik sampling jenuh, dengan jumlah sampel 8 kepala sekolah dan Sembilan guru penjasorkes. Hasil penelitian persepsi kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru penjasorkes di sekolah menengah pertama negeri se-kecamatan galing yakni kompetensi kepribadian 86%, kompetensi pedagogic 85%, kompetensi profesiona 87%, dan kompetensi social 88%.

Abstract

Soybean (Glycine max. L) is a strategic commodity that plays a major role in providing nutritious food. One effort to increase soybean production is through the use of superior varieties. Dega-1 is a soybean variety that is very sensitive to drought so that it is necessary to develop soybeans cultivated in dry land which can be attempted through mutation breeding. The purpose of this study was to determine the duration of ultraviolet C light irradiation that can produce mutants and to obtain putative drought-tolerant mutants through ultraviolet C light mutation induction and in vitro selection (PEG 25%). This study was conducted from April to July 2024 at the Tissue Culture Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Andalas University. This study was arranged in a Randomized Block Design with treatment duration of UV C light irradiation λ 254 nm with 10 treatment levels including no radiation, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 60 minutes, 75 minutes, 90 minutes, 105 minutes, 120 minutes, and 135 minutes. Each treatment consisted of 5 groups. The observation data were analyzed using simple statistical analysis using the mean and standard deviation calculations. The results showed that the highest percentage of putative drought-tolerant soybean mutants (PEG 6000 25%) was produced by 45 minutes of UV C irradiation, namely 3.33%. These mutants emerged from blackish-brown callus and developed into yellow callus and also regenerated into somatic embryos.

Abstract

Generally, the cacao farmers in Harau, Lima Puluh Kota District cultivating the cacao crops that unclear identity of its seed and there is also a high level of cacao diversity. Therefore the objectives of this study were to observe the morphological characters of cacao in Harau, Lima Puluh Kota District, and collecting data on the morphological characteristics of it as initial information on cacao germplasm development. This research was conducted by a survey, obtained information from the Agriculture Department, interviewed the cacao farmers, and collected data directly in the field. The method used in this research was a purposive sampling. The observed cacao crops as samples were taken from 3 Nagari in Harau, Lima Puluh Kota District, namely Nagari Taram with 4 cacao variants, Nagari Bukik Limbuku with 4 cacao variants, and Nagari Solok Bio-bio with 3 cacao variants. The obtained data were analyzed by NTSYS Program Ver. 02 which aims to know the diversities among them. The similarity of the phenotypes with a coefficient of 33-58 % and the variation is 42-67 %. Phenotypic variability of cacao crops on qualitative characters was a high value (41-85 %), and on quantitative characters was a moderate variability value ranges 3-50 %.

Abstract

Exploration and characterization of germplasm is an important stage in plant breeding activities. The present research was about exploration and morphological characterization of cacao (Theobroma cacao L.) in smallholder plantations in Koto Salak Sub-district, Dharmasraya Distric. It was carried out on July until October 2021. The objectives of this study were to characterize the morphology of cacao crops in Koto Salak Sub-district, Dharmasraya District and to determine the diversity level of cacao crops in that area. This research was by a survey method, with purposive sampling. The technique for data collection was by observe the morphology of the plants in each sample. The obtained data were analyzed descriptively, and for the similarity analysis, statistical calculation was by the NTSYS Ver 2.02 program. The research results obtained 4 variants of cacao plants which collected from 5 villages namely Padukuan, Pulau Mainan, Simalidu, Koto Salak, and Ampalu. Researcher obtained 30 samples of cacao plants which characterized by 16 characters, characters were wide variability and 14 other characters narrow variability with the level of diversity ranging from 39-77%.
