Abstract

Perkambangan organ reproduksi harus diikuti oleh pengetahuan yang baik tentang seksualitas dan kesehatan reproduksi, termasuk akses terhadap informasi dan pelayanan kesehatan reproduksi. Pendidikan kesehatan merupakan salah satu upaya meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman remaja tentang kesehatan reproduksi. Sasaran kegiatan Pendidikan Kesehatan reproduksi melalui pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah seluruh siswa SMKS 21 Qawiy Shabab Kota Bengkulu. Kegiatan ini telah dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2023 dengan tujuan untuk memberikan pendidikan kesehatan kepada siswa SMKS 21 Qawiy Shabab terkait kesehatan reproduksi. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan tahap pre test, tahap pelaksanaan edukasi dan diskusi serta tahap evaluasi dengan post test. Peningkatan pengetahuan dapat dilihat dari hasil pre test dan post test siswa. Distribusi nilai rata-rata pengetahuan siswa siswi SMKS qawiy Shabab Kota Bengkulu pada nilai pre test adalah 56,1750 dan rata-rata nilai post test adalah 88,8000 dengan nilai sig = 0,000 (<0,05) yang menunjukkan adanya peningkatan tingkat pengetahuan siswa yang signifikan tentang kesehatan reproduksi

Abstract

The rising cost of inorganic fertilizers and their uneven accessibility have encouraged farmers to use nutrient inputs that are locally available, affordable, and safer for the environment. This community service activity was designed to improve farmers' understanding and practical capacity in producing and applying organic fertilizer and eco-enzyme from local organic materials in Tangsi Duren Village, Kabawetan District, Kepahiang Regency. The program applied a participatory approach involving farmer groups, lecturers, and students of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Bengkulu. The activity stages included preliminary observation, coordination with community partners, extension, demonstration, learning by doing, discussion, and evaluation. Conducted on 3 October 2025, the program introduced rice-washing water, fruit peels, vegetable residues, and healthy weeds or wild leaves as raw materials for organic fertilizer and eco-enzyme. The results indicated strong participant enthusiasm, broader awareness of organic farming, and increased willingness to engage in sustainable agriculture development. All participants expressed readiness to support organic farming, although some were still uncertain about its contribution to reducing production costs and improving market access for organic products. Follow-up facilitation with a local environmental care group was initiated to strengthen mentoring and marketing support. This activity confirms that hands-on training based on local resources can serve as an entry point for reducing dependence on chemical inputs and strengthening farmer-based sustainable agriculture.

Abstract

Young coconut ice is one of the most frequently consumed ready-to-drink beverages among urban communities because it is inexpensive, refreshing, and widely available from street vendors. Nevertheless, the serving process generally involves added water, ice cubes, sweeteners, repeated use of utensils, open storage, and direct contact with food handlers. These conditions can increase the probability of microbiological contamination, particularly when sanitation and personal hygiene are not consistently maintained. Coliform bacteria are used as sanitation indicators because their presence reflects possible contamination from water, ice, equipment, handlers, or the surrounding selling environment. This descriptive laboratory study aimed to identify Coliform contamination in young coconut ice sold along Depati Payung Negara Street, Bengkulu City. Three samples were obtained through total sampling and analyzed in the Microbiology Laboratory of Akademi Analis Kesehatan Harapan Bangsa Bengkulu using the Most Probable Number (MPN) method, consisting of presumptive, confirmatory, and completed tests. The examination used Lactose Broth, Brilliant Green Lactose Bile Broth, Nutrient Agar, biochemical media, and Gram staining. The results showed that one sample was positive for Coliform with an MPN index of 265 cells/100 mL. Completed testing indicated Gram-negative bacilli with biochemical characteristics consistent with non-fecal Coliform, namely Enterobacter aerogenes. The findings emphasize the need for improved control of water and ice quality, utensil sanitation, food-handler hygiene, and routine monitoring of street beverages to minimize potential public health risks.
