Abstract

The reason of this think about was to decide the impact of Increased Reality-based Assemblr Edu media on students' high-level considering aptitudes within the excretory framework fabric at MAN 2 Mandailing Natal. This consider may be a sort of quantitative investigate with a quasi-experimental plan chosen by cluster irregular choice for the pretest, posttest, and control gather plan. The populace of this consider was four classes of review XI IPA understudies of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Mandailing Natal, with course XI IPA-I as the exploratory lesson and XI IPA-2 as the control lesson. The investigate instrument was within the frame of ten exposition questions. The autonomous test T test appeared that Ha was acknowledged and H0 was rejected based on the theory test, which delivered a sig esteem (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05 and 0.01. This shows that teaching materials based on Augmented Reality Assemblr Edu have an influence on advanced cognitive abilities

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Team Games Tournament (TGT)-based e-module on the human digestive system for 11th-grade high school students to enhance their critical thinking skills. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The participants were 11th-grade students at SMA Negeri 16 Medan. Data were collected using expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and pretest–posttest assessments. The results indicated that the e-module was classified as highly valid (92% by content experts and 91% by media experts). The practicality test showed very high practicality scores from both teachers (97.75%) and students (94%). Furthermore, the effectiveness test, measured by an N-gain of 0.80, demonstrated a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes. In conclusion, the developed TGT-based e-module is valid, practical, and effective in enhancing students’ critical thinking skills in the study of the human digestive system. Abstract

The Problem-Based Learning (PBL) module is a module characterized by problem-oriented learning that provides students with direct experiences, making the learning process student-centered. Critical thinking can be defined as the process and ability to understand concepts, apply, synthesize, and evaluate obtained or generated information. This study aims to investigate the development of a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) module to improve students’ critical thinking skills on the topic of the human respiratory system. The research technique used in this study is Research and Development (R&D), employing the 4-D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate), which is one of the research and development methods in the field of education. The research sample consisted of 36 students from class XI-A of SMA Negeri 2 Percut Sei Tuan. The instrument used in this study was a critical thinking skills test in the form of 10 pretest and posttest essay questions, based on critical thinking indicators. The results showed that the development of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) module improved students’ critical thinking skills on the human respiratory system, with an N-Gain score of 0.77, categorized as high (effective). The pretest results were 39.44%, while the posttest results reached 95.55%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the misconceptions of students in understanding the division of macroscopic fungi and microscopic fungi and the separation between Lichenes and Fungi in Biology Education students at UIN North Sumatra. This research was conducted at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra, to be precise in the TBIO-2 class of Stambuk 2021 Academic Year 2023/2024. Using descriptive qualitative research methods and conducting interviews as a data collection method. The results showed that many biology students have a wrong understanding, such as thinking that all macroscopic fungi can be seen with the naked eye and microscopic fungi can only be observed with a microscope. The misunderstanding is because the curriculum does not emphasize specific characteristics, such as some macroscopic fungi require a microscope for certain observations. Thus, it is necessary to improve understanding, which can be achieved through the development of comprehensive teaching materials, interactive methods, and continuous training.
