Abstract

Introduction: Suicide is a complex phenomenon that is intriguing to study because its causes are still not fully understood. This phenomenon often garners media attention, as the number of incidents has significantly increased. Suicidal ideation frequently occurs in teenagers, and many who seek consultation report similar thoughts or engage in self-harm. The approach to problem-solving proposed in this research is the use of a virtual nurse as an early detection service for suicide risk behavior. A Virtual Nurse is an artificial intelligence-based application or system designed to provide health services and psychological support, particularly for teenagers. The Virtual Nurse uses machine learning algorithms to analyze user behavior, speech patterns, and interactions to identify signs of suicide risk. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Virtual Nurse in detecting suicide risk behavior in adolescents. Method: This research utilized a pre-experimental design with a one-shot case study approach. Results: The implementation of the virtual nurse application for the detection of suicide risk behavior in adolescents over four weeks yielded favorable outcomes for 116 students (16%), while 74 students (39%) were categorized as showing poor results and the score for using virtual nurse in detecting suicide risk was 84 points. The result was that virtual nurse were classified as good in detecting suicide risk behavior in adolescents. Conclusion: The virtual nurse is an artificial intelligence-based application or system designed to provide psychological services and support to its users, particularly teenagers.

Abstract

Introduction: Implementing conventional and online learning is considered insufficient to balance current educational needs, so blended learning is needed, combining the two learning methods to include more comprehensive learning. This study aims to systematically investigate the literature regarding the effectiveness of blended learning for undergraduate nursing students in Indonesia. Methods: Systematic review by searching articles using CINAHL, PubMed, Science Direct, ProQuest, SINTA, GARUDA, manual search, and electronic search engine "Google Scholar," with full-text article criteria, articles that have been published since Blended Learning was carried out for nursing students using Indonesian and English articles, the keywords used are Nursing student, blended learning, the effectiveness of blended learning. The research design included a Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) and a Quasi-Experimental Study. Results: A total of 15 research articles, a Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT), A qualitative study, and a Quasi-Experimental Study that met the eligibility criteria, and all showed that blended learning can significantly help nursing student learning, including knowledge, clinical practice skills, learning content and instruction, learning reflection, and learning information media. There are differences in the results found from the use of media and learning materials provided and used. Conclusion: Conclusion: Blended learning can be used as a learning reference because it is considered effective in carrying out the learning process in nursing.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Introduction: Low back pain or commonly called Low Back Pain (LBP) is one of the health problems that is often experienced due to frequent or repetitive physical activity. One of the non-pharmacological interventions that can help reduce low back pain is a warm compress of shallots, the warmth produced by shallots increases blood vessel flow so that tense muscles relax. Methods: This study used a pre-experimental design with a one group pretest-posttest approach. The population in this study were all fishermen in the work area of UPTD Puskesmas II Negara. A total of 57 respondents were selected using qouta sampling technique. The intervention was carried out by giving warm onion compresses with a time of 20 minutes per session given for 5 consecutive days. The pain scale was measured before and after the intervention using the NRS pain scale observation sheet. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Results: Before the intervention, most respondents experienced moderate to severe pain. After giving warm onion compress, there was a significant decrease in pain levels. The Wilcoxon test shows a value of Z = -7.421 with P < 0.001, which means there is a significant difference between pain before and after the intervention. Discussion: The results showed that the intervention of warm onion compress was effective in reducing low back pain in fishermen. Further research with a control group is recommended to strengthen the results. Keywords: Warm compress, shallots, fishermen, low back pain, non-pharmacological therapy

ABSTRACT Introduction : Primary Dysmenorrhea is a common complaint experienced by adolescent grils and can interfere with daily activities. One pf the non-pharmacolgical interventions that can help reduce dysmenorrhea pain is the use of a lumbar corset that functions to support posture and reduce muscle tension. Methods : This stdy used a pre-experimental design with a ne group pretest-posttest approach. The population in this study were studens of SMP Negeri 2 Melaya who experienced primary dysmenorrhea. A total of 47 respondents wwere selected using convenience sampling technique. The intervention eas carried out by wearing a lumbar corset for 2 hours per day during menstruation. Pain scale was measured beafor and after intervention using VAS pain scale sheet. Data were analyzed using Wilcoxon Signed Renk Test. Results : Before the intervention, most respondents experienced moderate to severe pain. After the use of the lumbar corset, there was a significant decrease in pain levels. The ilcoxon test shows a value of Z = 6,283 with P< 0.001, which means there is a significant difference between pain before and after the intervention. Discussion : The results showed that the use of lumbar corsets was effective in reducing primary dysmenorrhea pain in adolescent girls. Further research with a control group and a lerger sampel size isrecommended to strengthen the result.
