Abstract

Hybrid learning has been adopted by colleges and universities after the COVID-19 pandemic era. This study aims to investigate the challenges and benefitsof hybrid learning in Informatics engineering department. Teachers and students’ perceptions were gathered by semi-structured interview to gain deeper information. Five teachers and five students were selected from Informatics department. The data gathered from semi-structured interview showed that both teacher and students experienced some challenges and benefits, which are technological challenges, engagement strategies, support and training, and flexibility and autonomy. This study result could be a beneficial insight for further research regarding hybrid learning.

Abstract

This article discusses the implementation of a Google Earth training program for teachers at SMA Putra Bangsa Depok as part of an effort to develop technological skills in education. The training aimed to assist teachers in integrating technology into their teaching practices in line with Kurikulum Merdeka (Merdeka Curriculum), which emphasizes student-centered learning and the use of digital tools to enhance student engagement and understanding. The program included an introduction to Google Earth features, hands-on training, and an evaluation of the training outcomes. Although the training received positive feedback from the teachers, challenges such as limited time and inadequate equipment were identified. Therefore, it is recommended to conduct follow-up training sessions, provide ongoing support, and form a dedicated team focused on developing technology in education to ensure the optimal and sustainable use of this tool.

Abstract

This program aimed to enhance the competencies of elementary school teachers in Depok City in developing interactive digital learning media using the Wordwall application. The activities were carried out in the form of training and direct mentoring, focusing on the creation and implementation of game-based learning media. The implementation methods included demonstration, hands-on practice, and guided assistance. The results of the program indicate that participants were enthusiastic and successfully created simple learning media using Wordwall. Based on observations throughout the activities, the teachers demonstrated improved skills and increased interest in integrating digital technology into the teaching and learning process. This program is expected to serve as an initial step in supporting digital learning transformation in elementary schools.
