Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the critical success factors for promoting gastronomic tourism, focusing on the role of local culinary attractions and the compelling power of storytelling. A systematic literature review was conducted, utilizing databases such as Google Scholar to gather relevant publications from 2020 to 2022. Key terms like “gastronomy,” “tourism,” and “promotion” guided the search, and only high-quality articles published in reputable journals were included, resulting in twenty selected publications for analysis. The findings reveal that tourism-related factors are the most frequently mentioned in the literature, highlighting their significance in shaping the overall gastronomic tourism experience. Additionally, local cuisine and destination image were identified as crucial elements, emphasizing the need for a holistic approach to promotion strategies. This approach should integrate various aspects, including food, destination appeal, and positive imagery, to create compelling and memorable tourism experiences. The study concludes that an effective gastronomic tourism promotion strategy must integrate these critical success factors, with storytelling playing a key role in connecting tourists to a destination’s cultural and culinary heritage. This research contributes to the literature by comprehensively analyzing the essential elements in promoting gastronomic tourism. It offers insights for developing strategies that promote gastronomic tourism, preserve cultural heritage, support local economies, and create a deeper connection between tourists and their destinations.

Abstract

Technological advances in artificial intelligence and data analytics have enabled e-commerce platforms to deliver highly personalized advertising. However, how consumers psychologically respond to such personalization remains unclear, particularly in emerging markets. Drawing on Privacy Calculus Theory and the Affect Transfer Hypothesis, this study examines the influence of personalized advertising on purchase intention among Shopee users in Indonesia, with attitude toward advertising as a mediating variable. Data were collected from 114 Shopee users using purposive sampling and analyzed using regression and Hayes’ PROCESS mediation analysis. The results indicate that personalized advertising has a significant direct effect on purchase intention and a significant indirect effect through attitude toward advertising, indicating partial mediation. These findings suggest that personalization influences purchasing not only by improving information fit but also by shaping consumers’ cognitive and emotional evaluations of advertising. This study contributes to the personalized advertising literature by demonstrating the mediating role of attitude toward advertising in an emerging e-commerce context. Practically, the results highlight the importance of designing personalized advertising that balances relevance with consumer trust and perceived privacy.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study investigates the transformative role of Meaning Reconstruction (MR) in mediating the relationship between Post-Purchase Dissonance (PPD) and Eudaimonic Well-Being (EWB) in the context of digital education service consumption in Indonesia. Methodology: This study employs a quantitative explanatory design using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). Data were collected through web scraping from 500 publicly accessible posts on Twitter (X), Reddit, and TikTok discussing post-purchase experiences with digital education services in Indonesia (2020–2024). Computational text analysis using a fine-tuned IndoBERT model was applied to derive construct scores for PPD (X1–X3), MR (M1–M4), and EWB (Y1–Y4). Indicators were quantified using algorithmically normalized NLP-based semantic intensity scores ranging from 1 to 7, representing computational estimations of construct magnitude rather than self-reported NLP-based normalized semantic score (1–7) responses. Main Findings: Results confirm that PPD significantly influences MR (β=0.446, p<0.001) and MR strongly predicts EWB (β=0.481, p<0.001). The direct path PPD→EWB is significant (β=0.176, p<0.001), while the indirect effect via MR is also significant (β=0.214, t=8.248, p<0.001), with a Variance Accounted For (VAF) of 54.8%, indicating partial mediation. R²(MR)=0.199 and R²(EWB)=0.338. All measurement model criteria are satisfied: outer loadings >0.70, AVE >0.50, CR >0.70, and HTMT <0.85. Novelty/Originality of this study: Reconstruction as a critical transformative mechanism, reframing post-purchase dissonance from a purely negative outcome into a catalyst for consumer psychological growth. The use of computational text analysis (NLP + web scraping) as an alternative to conventional surveys further contributes methodological novelty.

Abstract

Objectives: In the context of rising global competition and shifting consumer demands, coffee enterprises face increasing pressure to innovate while maintaining consistent business performance. This study investigates the role of dynamic capabilities in enhancing business performance through the mediating mechanism of ambidextrous innovation within the Indonesian coffee industry. Methodology: Adopting a quantitative, explanatory research design, the study collected primary data from 362 decision-makers representing various types of coffee businesses, including cafés, roasteries, and producers. Using structural equation modeling with Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM), the study tested both direct and indirect relationships among dynamic capabilities, ambidextrous innovation, and business performance. Finding: The findings reveal that dynamic capabilities—specifically sensing, seizing, and reconfiguring—positively influence both exploitative and explorative innovation strategies, which in turn significantly improve multiple dimensions of business performance. Moreover, ambidextrous innovation was found to partially mediate the relationship between dynamic capabilities and performance outcomes, underscoring its strategic importance in resource-constrained environments. The study contributes to the theoretical development of dynamic capabilities and innovation management by extending the application of Conservation of Resources (COR) Theory to the context of small and medium-sized enterprises in emerging markets. Conclusion: It also offers practical insights for managers and policymakers seeking to foster innovation-driven growth in the agri-food and service sectors.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze public discourse on bottled drinking water using a multidimensional social media analytics approach. The study analyzed 531 valid public conversations collected from X/Twitter through the SocialX platform between January and April 2026. The final dataset resulted from a structured preprocessing procedure involving duplicate removal, relevance screening, and text normalization to ensure analytical quality. A multidimensional analytical framework integrating sentiment analysis, emotion analysis, text network analysis (TNA), social network analysis (SNA), trend analysis, and zero-shot classification was employed to examine public discourse from complementary perspectives. To enhance analytical reliability, automated classification outputs were supported by manual validation of a subset of the data. The findings indicate that public discourse was dominated by neutral sentiment and positive emotional expressions. While sentiment analysis showed that most conversations were informational and neutral in tone, zero-shot classification revealed a slightly positive overall perception because many neutral discussions implicitly reflected favorable evaluations of convenience, accessibility, and product usefulness. Network analysis further revealed a decentralized communication structure with multiple influential actors, whereas text network analysis identified dominant themes related to price, product quality, packaging, and sustainability. This study contributes to the consumer behavior, digital communication, and sustainability literature by demonstrating the value of integrating multiple computational social media analytics techniques to capture naturally occurring consumer discourse beyond conventional survey-based approaches. Nevertheless, the findings should be interpreted within the context of a single social media platform and a relatively short observation period.
