Abstract

The aim of this author is to discuss the importance of implementing Christian character in maintaining the morality and holiness of life as a civilized human being. This research applies a literature study method where the review is carried out descriptively with supporting material obtained from various literature and the discussion focuses on the author's topic related to the implementation of Christian character in social life. Data was collected from various scientific literature and analyzed reductively which describes the results of the discussion that the implementation of Christian character plays a very important role in maintaining the sanctity of life as a civilized human being which should be implemented from an early age in the current millennial era. It is very important to implement Christian character education, because the teaching is not only limited to understanding theories, but also requires implementing them in the practice of moral behavior and maintaining a holy lifestyle as a long-term investment for the nation and state. As Christians who live in the plurality of the Indonesian nation, we must make Christ a reflection in our behavior, namely the ability to control ourselves and not compromise with sin because Christian values ​​teach that every person needs to realize that this body is God's temple, so that they take the initiative to make themselves a good example. right through the right way of life, words, behavior, social relations, spirituality so that people around them can feel the goodness of the existence of Christians as obedient followers of Christ.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of test variations on students’ motivation and academic achievement in Christian Religious Education subjects. Traditional evaluations that focus only on cognitive aspects often fail to capture students' full spiritual and character development. Using a qualitative descriptive approach through literature review, this article emphasizes the importance of varied assessmentssuch as written tests, oral exams, practical applications, service projects, portfolios, and personal faith reflectionsin creating meaningful, contextual, and transformative evaluations. The findings indicate that diverse testing methods enhance students’ learning motivation by accommodating different learning styles and have a positive effect on academic achievement, not only in knowledge mastery but also in the application of Christian values in daily life.

Abstract

Tulisan ini membahas pentingnya sosialisasi pemuda dalam konteks kehidupan bergereja, khususnya di GMIT Jemaat Imanuel Baumata, dengan menekankan bahwa pemuda bukanlah masalah, melainkan harapan gereja masa depan. Pemuda memiliki potensi besar dalam hal kreativitas, energi, semangat, dan idealisme yang dapat menjadi kekuatan transformatif dalam pelayanan dan masyarakat. Melalui kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM), tim dosen dan mahasiswa melakukan sosialisasi dan pendampingan secara partisipatif, edukatif, dan dialogis. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pemuda menghadapi tantangan serius seperti krisis identitas, ketidakstabilan emosi, dan minimnya pembinaan rohani. Namun, melalui pendekatan mentoring antar generasi, pemuridan, serta pendidikan karakter Kristiani, potensi pemuda dapat diberdayakan secara efektif. Alkitab sendiri mencatat bagaimana Tuhan memakai pemuda untuk misi-Nya. Oleh karena itu, paradigma gereja perlu diubah: dari melihat pemuda sebagai beban, menjadi melihat mereka sebagai mitra strategis dalam pelayanan dan pembangunan rohani jemaat.
