Abstract

This study aims to accelerate and improve the accreditation status of Tourism Higher Education (THE). The research method uses quantitative methods.  There were 92 respondents from 23 THE by saturated sampling techniques. The instrument used is a Questionnaire with a Likert scale of 1 to 7. The analysis method using SEM-PLS with Smart PLS 3.0 as a quantitative method and complemented by a Forum Group Discussion as a qualitative method to gain a more comprehensive perspective result. The results showed that the Top Management of THE must give challenging goals and targets to all lecturers so there are no asymmetric goals and targets. The common goal and targets start from publication in reputable international journals by lecturers with financial support and monitoring by the top management.  Those lecturers who received top management support enabled lecturers to achieve position levels from expert assistants to head lectors (Associate professors). These achievements accelerate the chance of attaining THE accreditation status from the better to the best or superior. This research significantly contributes to the body of knowledge as lecturers are induced to have innovative Behavior. On the other hand, the management of institutions should adopt Goal-oriented, Inspiring Interaction rooted in goal-setting theory.

Abstract

This study aims to develop the first occupation map for Marketing Management aligned with the Indonesian Qualification Framework (IQF). It responds to the persistent gap between higher education outcomes and industry skill requirements, particularly in digital marketing, data analytics, and strategic innovation. Using the Rapid Assessment Process[A1] [A2] (RAP) through in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and document analysis, the research identified 47 distinct occupations spanning from entry-level roles such as Retail Assistant to senior executive positions like Chief Marketing Officer. The findings reveal that most occupations have yet to be supported by competency standards, highlighting substantial misalignment between educational programs and workforce expectations. This gap underscores the urgency of embedding industry-driven competencies into curricula and developing flexible training and certification pathways. The occupation map provides a strategic framework for policymakers, educational institutions, and industry stakeholders to redesign curricula, guide recruitment, and shape professional development initiatives. By systematically integrating marketing occupations into the IQF, this research contributes a pioneering reference for Indonesia that strengthens graduate employability, supports workforce planning, and enhances global competitiveness in line with ASEAN Mutual Recognition Arrangements (MRA) and the World Economic Forum's call for future-ready skills.

Abstract

Bali Kintamani coffee is one of the most authentic and exotic coffees grown in Indonesia. Kintamani Bali coffee has the character of citric acid (orange), and sweet brown sugar, where the taste is strongly influenced by the brewing method and brewing technique. This study aims to determine the results of steeping Bali Kintamani coffee with the manual brew method using a French press. The study used organoleptic tests to define the difference in results that occurred using different water temperatures from the ideal temperature. This study took as many as 20 experienced barista respondents because they were considered able to define the taste of brewing coffee to be served. This study found that steeping results using water temperatures above the ideal tend to have a more complex taste, but steeping results using temperatures below the ideal have a good level of taste balance without any dominating indicators. Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of self-confidence, vocabulary mastery, and learning motivation on English-speaking ability among students enrolled in English I courses. Using a quantitative research design with structural equation modeling (SEM), the research tested seven hypotheses to identify both direct and indirect relationships among the variables. The results reveal that self-confidence significantly and positively affects learning motivation, indicating that students with higher confidence levels are more motivated to engage in English learning activities. Vocabulary mastery also has a significant positive impact on learning motivation, showing that learners who possess a wide range of vocabulary feel more competent and encouraged to improve their English skills. However, both self-confidence and vocabulary mastery do not have a direct effect on speaking ability. Instead, their influence is mediated through learning motivation. The study further finds that learning motivation has a strong and direct impact on English-speaking ability, acting as the main driving force that enables students to practice and communicate effectively. These findings suggest that psychological (self-confidence), linguistic (vocabulary), and affective (motivation) factors must be developed simultaneously to enhance English-speaking performance. Therefore, fostering motivation and confidence while expanding vocabulary can lead to more effective and sustainable improvements in students’ speaking competence.
