Abstract

Character education and discipline are important elements in shaping the superior personality of students, especially in the pesantren environment. This study aims to describe the implementation of character and discipline education through equestrian extracurricular activities at Pondok Pesantren PKP Al-Hidayah. The approach used is qualitative with a descriptive method, involving observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The research results show that horseback riding extracurricular activities not only serve as a means of developing riding skills but also instill character values such as responsibility, honesty, cooperation, and courage. In addition, this activity trains discipline through strict rules related to training schedules, horse care, and adherence to instructors. The implementation of character education and discipline in horseback riding activities is supported by continuous coaching and a conducive pesantren environment. This research concludes that horseback riding extracurricular activities significantly contribute to shaping the character and discipline of students, making it an innovative character education model in Islamic boarding schools. Abstract

This study discusses "Optimizing Students' Critical Thinking Skills in the Subject of Islamic Cultural History at Mamba Ul Ulum Elementary Madrasah, Jambi City". This study aims to determine how to optimize students' critical thinking skills in learning Islamic cultural history, especially in class V at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Mambaul Ulum Jambi and what are the obstacles faced by teachers and what are the teacher's strategies in optimizing students' critical thinking skills in the subject of Islamic cultural history. The researcher also explains how teachers at Madrasah Ibtiadiyah Manbaul Ulum, Jambi City, try to realize the learning process so that students actively develop their critical thinking potential. Abstract

This research aims to describe the application of the Free Expression method in improving the learning process and increasing students' creativity in Class II Fine Arts Learning at State Elementary School 165/VIII Sumber Arum, Tebo Regency. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. This research includes planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. The subjects of this research were students in class II of State Elementary School 165/VIII Sumber Arum, Tebo Regency. The instruments of this research are educator observation sheets, student observation sheets, performance tests, and documentation. The data analysis technique for this research uses qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques. The results of the research are: 1. There was an increase in the learning process which can be seen from the observation sheet in Cycle I Meeting 1, namely 72.5, the value of Cycle I Meeting II, namely 80, the value of Cycle II Meeting I, namely 85, and the value of Cycle II Meeting II, namely 90. Furthermore, the value of the results of the student observation sheet for Cycle I Meeting 1, namely 70, the value of Cycle I Meeting II, namely 77.5, the value of Cycle II Meeting I, namely 85, and the value of Cycle II Meeting II, namely 92.5, (2) There has been an increase in student creativity in Fine Arts Learning which can be seen in the performance test scores. At the Pre-cycle stage the average score was 68.6 in the poor category, increasing in Cycle I, namely 78 in the Fairly Good category and increasing in Cycle II, namely 87 in the Good category. So, it can be concluded that the application of the Free Expression method can increase students' creativity in Class II Fine Arts Learning at State Elementary School 165/VIII Sumber Arum, Tebo Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to describe in depth the role of teachers in shaping the religious values of grade IV students at the Ash-Shiddiiqi Integrated Islamic Elementary School (SDIT) Jambi City. Religious values are an important part of the formation of children's character from an early age, especially in the Islamic-based school environment. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that teachers play a major role in the formation of religious values through example, habituation, integration of religious values in learning, and cooperation with parents. The formation of religious values is not only carried out in the classroom, but also through school activities with Islamic nuances such as congregational prayers, memorization of the Qur'an, and daily prayers. The success of religious character formation is greatly influenced by the consistency of teachers and support from the school and family environment.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes through the application of inquiry learning models in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subjects in class IV MIS An-Nizham Jambi City. The background of this study is based on the low involvement and understanding of students in the IPAS material, as well as the dominance of the lecture method used by teachers in the learning process. This study is a classroom action research (PTK), data was collected through (1) Teacher observation sheets, (2) Student observation sheets, (3) Student learning outcome test questions. Data analysis in this study used the percentage formula. Data analysis in this study used the percentage formula. The increase in student learning outcomes in IPAS learning in cycle I has not reached the Minimum Completion Criteria value that has been set at MIS An-Nizham Jambi City with a percentage value of 74.4% (good category), while when applying the inquiry learning model to Natural and Social Sciences learning in cycle II showed that 25 students with a percentage value of 91.15% were in the very good category and had reached the KKM but 2 more students had not reached the KKM. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that by implementing the inquiry learning model, it can increase teacher and student activities, and can improve student learning outcomes, in Natural and Social Sciences lessons in class IV MIS An-Nizham, Jambi City

Abstract

This community service activity aims to empower students and elementary school children through a collaborative performing arts program themed "Earth, Our Home. " The activity is organized by the Study Program of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education (PGMI) at UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi and the Mamba’ul Ulum Islamic Institute Jambi. The methods of activity include participatory planning, direct assistance in the arts, and cultural performances such as traditional dance, educational drama, musical poetry presentations, and an environmentally friendly fashion show. The results of the activity demonstrate a significant improvement in the students' leadership, collaboration, and communication skills. Meanwhile, elementary school students demonstrate an increased sense of self-confidence and appreciation for local culture as well as environmental issues. This activity successfully strengthened the relationships between institutions and reinforced character education through a culturally relevant approach.
