Abstract

This research is motivated by the limited use of mathematics learning media, especially in elementary schools, which can facilitate students' physical activity in building knowledge. This research aims to produce a product in the form of a fraction board that is feasible and has a good impact on the critical thinking skills of elementary school students. The type of research is RnD with the Pomp model. The test subjects in class IV SD N 31 Jati Tanah Tinggi consisted of 30 students. Data collection techniques use questionnaires, interviews and tests. The research results show that fraction board media is suitable for use with very valid criteria. Fraction board media is also easy to use and can train elementary school students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem that in the learning process the teacher has used media, but only uses improvised media in the form of books and blackboards as well as media in the form of pictures, thus making students passive during the learning process, this situation is caused by the use of learning media in the learning process only as books and blackboards. Based on these problems the researchers developed interactive powerpoint media in integrated thematic learning. The development model used is the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stages, namely, analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Based on the results of interactive powerpoint media validation on integrated thematic learning in grade IV elementary schools, it was declared very valid with a validation value range of 3.54, from the results of the practicality test, educators stated that it was very practical with a percentage of 93.37% for learning 1 and learning 2, while the practicality test for students it is stated to be very practical with a percentage of 89.04% for learning 1 and learning 2. So it can be concluded that the development of interactive powerpoint media in integrated thematic learning in grade IV elementary school is very valid and very practical.

Abstract

The development of internet-based information technology has had an impact on many aspects of human life, including education. Online learning is made possible by the learning paradigm in the industrial era 4.0. During the COVID-19 pandemic, many universities implemented online learning methods using E-Learning, in line with government recommendations to implement health protocols to break the chain of the COVID-19 virus, such as wearing masks, washing hands and maintaining distance. The Faculty of Engineering, Batam University has used e-learning for learning during the pandemic and continues after the pandemic, but its implementation has never been evaluated. The aim of this research is to assess the context, input, process and product (CIPP) of e-learning at the Faculty of Engineering, Batam University. This research uses a quantitative and qualitative approach (mixed research) by distributing questionnaires to lecturers and students of study programs within the Faculty of Engineering, Batam University. Based on research conducted by evaluating E-Learning from the context aspect, both lecturers and students gave very good responses so it needs to be maintained. Furthermore, from the input aspect it provides a very good response, therefore it needs to be maintained and improved. The response from lecturers for the process aspect is in the very good category, while the response from students is in the good category, so the process element needs to be improved. Assessment of the product aspect shows that E-Learning at the Faculty of Engineering, Batam University must be improved.

Abstract

For students of the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program, Physical Education, Sports and Health Learning is very important in maintaining physical health as well as completing learning goals. The command-learning paradigm that accentuates the teacher has total dominance in the learning process is believed to be suitable for this circumstance. This study is conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of command learning paradigm on students’ learning results and excellent physical fitness in Sports lessons courses. This method of research analyses dedicated literative review by going through different related studies published in national as well as international journals. The article analyzed in the review is within the themes of command learning model, physical fitness and learning outcomes in Sports lessons learning. The data were analyzed in a descriptive way to identify possible relationships between the variables studied. The experimental results presented prove the beneficial effects of the command learning model on students’ physical fitness, which are mainly embodied in cardiovascular endurance, muscle strength and flexibility. Furthermore, student learning outcomes also increase effectively, especially in mastering material concept and Sports lessons motor skills. Next, the model is followed by an enormous amount of variable, such as quality and availability of teachers, learner conditions and social environment. This study concludes the command learning model is good or effective to enhance the physical fitness and learning outcomes of Elementary School Teacher Education students in Physical Education subjects. But teachers also have to be mindful of coming up with ways to keep interest and motivation in the long term. Formulation of an adaptive, individualized learning model requires additional research.
