Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan bentuk miskonsepsi siswa pada pembelajaran bilangan desimal pada siswa kelas V UPT SDN Panyirapan Kecamatan Baros Kabupaten Serang serta solusi pembelajarannya. Metode pada penelitian ini yaitu analisis kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian ini melibatkan siswa kelas V UPT SDN Panyirapan yang berjumlah 15 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes tulis, observasi, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian berupa siswa salah memahami konsep menentukan bilangan desimal diantara dua bilangan bulat, dan siswa salah memahami konsep pada penempatan koma, serta beberapa siswa salah melakukan operasi penjumlahan bilangan desimal dan juga belum memahami konsep perkalian dan pembagian bilangan desimal. Penyebab miskonsepsi yaitu contoh soal kurang bervariasi sehingga generalisasi yang dilakukan menjadi keliru dan siswa belum memahami konsep dasar operasi hitung bilangan desimal terutama pada perkalian dan pembagian. Serta terdapat beberapa solusi yang didapatkan untuk mengatasi miskonsespi pada materi bilangan desimal.

Abstract

Reading comprehension is a very important skill in our learning and in our lives. With this reading comprehension ability, one can also obtain information more effectively, develop knowledge, and understand other people's perspectives and experiences that can enrich their thinking and worldview. And the PQ4R method is a solution to the problem of the lack of reading comprehension skills, the steps are Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, and Review. The purpose of this research is to conduct a literature review related to the PQ4R method and also its effect on reading comprehension skills in elementary school students. In this study, researchers used the SLR (Systematic Literature Review) method. All research articles that have conducted similar research are included in the research report to obtain data. The research journal articles utilized in this study were 21 national journal articles and 1 international article. The articles were obtained from the Google Scholar database with the help of the Publish or Perish application. The research results from several journal articles that have been reviewed, according to many studies analyzed about the use of the PQ4R method, the PQ4R method can improve reading comprehension, and can also improve student learning outcomes in elementary schools. On analyzing the results of several studies, the PQ4R method is not only used to improve reading comprehension skills but can also be used in other subject matter.

Abstract

The culture of mutual cooperation is starting to disappear in society along with the times. One of the schools that supports character education is SD Negeri Kebaharan 1 Serang City which focuses on developing the character of mutual cooperation. The aim of this research is to describe mutual cooperation activities to form a positive culture for students. This research uses a case study with a qualitative approach. Data was obtained through observation and interview methods, data collection was used to collect data thoroughly and in depth. Based on the research data, it can be concluded that the activities carried out at SD Negeri Kebaharan 1 show that students and educators have instilled a collaborative attitude, namely the character of mutual cooperation, so that it becomes a positive culture in the school. This is shown by the habituation carried out at school both inside and outside the classroom or learning activities, the majority of the number of students or if the percentage is 75% of the 354 students shows that the nature of mutual cooperation is categorized as good and the formation of a positive culture at SD Negeri Kebaharan 1 Serang City has been carried out by educators and it has been proven that a positive school culture has been formed, namely: implementing school rules, love of cleanliness and the environment, good tolerance, and being religious.

Abstract

This study was prompted by the observed low reading comprehension skills among fifth-grade students. The objective was to develop digital teaching materials based on local wisdom, specifically Banten folk tales, by applying the PQ4R (Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, and Review) method to improve reading comprehension skills. The research method used was Research and Development with the ADDIE development model, which consists of the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and tests (pretest and posttest). The results of the study showed that the developed digital teaching materials were highly suitable for use and received very positive responses from students, with an average response questionnaire score of 90%. The effectiveness of the teaching materials was proven through improved student learning outcomes, with an N-Gain score of 0.71, which falls into the high category. Digital teaching materials based on local wisdom (Banten folk tales) using the PQ4R method proved to be effective, engaging, and relevant for improving students' reading comprehension.
