Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using smart phone learning on science knowledge conceptual and independence of students’ learning in junior high school. The design of quadratic control groups is used on this research with all seventh grade students at Serang-Banten City Junior High School as the population. The random technique samples are VII A grade as an experimental class and VII B grade as the control class, so it can be measured the conceptual science knowledge and scaling the independence of students’ learning by questionnaire. Independent sample T Test survey result shows using the smart phone has an impact to science knowledge with a significance value of 0.002 and an independence of student’s learning with a significance value of 0.003.

Abstract

From a linguistic perspective, traditional food or local culinary processed seafood traded in the Anyer Beach tourist area is an interesting phenomenon and is important to study in depth. The culinary name represents a rich symbolic form with a unique cultural meaning. This article discusses lingual units and cultural meanings in naming seafood processed culinary at the Anyer Beach tourist attraction. This article was produced through an in-depth study using qualitative methods using an anthropolinguistic theory approach. Data was collected by means of participant observation and in-depth interviews with recording techniques. The data is classified and analyzed according to the focus of the problem that has been formulated and interpreted according to the situational context and cultural context. The results of this study indicate that the lingual units used in naming the processed seafood are the Sundanese lexicon and the Banten dialect of the Javanese language in the category of words and phrases. The lexicon embodies cultural meanings that represent the ecosystem and life of a typical coastal community.

Abstract

Pendekatan pedagogi genre merupakan pendekatan yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks berita. Penelitian yang dilakukan di SMPN 1 Sukatani, Kabupaten Purwakarta ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi pendekatan pedagogi genre dalam menulis teks berita pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMP. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif metode deskriptif. Data yang diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi kepustakaan kemudian dianalisis menggunakan Teknik analisis data kualitatif yang meliputi reduksi data, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa (1) perencanaan pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia menggunakan pendekatan pedagogi genre dilakukan dalam lima tahap, meliputi; perumusan capaian pembelajaran, penentuan tujuan pembelajaran, penyusunan alur tujuan pembelajaran, pembuatan modul ajar, perencanaan teknik penilaian (formative dan summative assessment), (2) terdapat empat tahapan yang dilakukan dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan pedagogi genre, yaitu; membangun konteks, pemodelan, pembimbingan, dan pemandirian, (3) teknik evaluasi yang digunakan dalam pembuatan teks berita menggunakan penilaian formatif dan sumatif yang menekankan pada pemodelan dan pembimbingan, (4) hambatan yang dihadapi oleh guru dan peserta didik dalam menerapkan pendekatan pedagogi genre dalam pembuatan teks berita, yaitu; keterbatasan waktu, keterbatasan media dan sumber belajar, keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana pendukung, dan lain sebagainya, (5) untuk menghadapi hambatan yang muncul dalam pembelajaran pembuatan teks berita melalui pendekatan pedagogi genre, yaitu; penyesuaian alokasi waktu belajar dengan kebutuhan, belajar mandiri, memperbanyak diskusi sesama siswa, melakukan pengaturan penggunaan sarana dan prasarana yang dimiliki sekolah, serta mempelajari berbagai kosakata baru yang dapat digunakan untuk pembuatan teks berita. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan, peneliti merekomendasikan; (1) perlunya peningkatan penggunaan media pembelajaran dalam proses pembelajaran, (2) peserta didik perlu meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata baru sehingga kemampuan menulis teks dapat lebih lugas, jelas, serta mudah dipahami pembaca, (3) perlu dilakukan penelitian lanjutan guna mengungkap hal-hal yang belum dikaji dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul "Representasi Budaya Anak Muda dalam Novel Galaksi Karya Poppi Pertiwi". Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis bagaimana karakteristik sosial budaya anak muda serta bentuk perlawanan budaya anak muda direpresentasikan dalam novel Galaksi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan analisis teks sastra. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah novel Galaksi karya Poppi Pertiwi. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori budaya anak muda dari Chris Barker yang menyatakan bahwa anak muda merupakan kategori kultural yang dikonstruksi melalui relasi sosial dengan kelas, gender, dan ras. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik sosial budaya anak muda dalam novel Galaksi mencakup klasifikasi kultural, pembatasan kelas dan gender, budaya ruang, gaya, selera, media, dan makna, serta peran konsumsi dalam masyarakat konsumer kapitalis. Selain itu, perlawanan budaya anak muda yang ditemukan dalam novel ini meliputi perlawanan terhadap sistem pendidikan, dominasi orang tua, dan kekerasan fisik. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan baru tentang representasi budaya anak muda dalam sastra populer Indonesia serta memperkaya pemahaman tentang peran budaya anak muda dalam pembentukan identitas sosial.

Abstract

The indigenous knowledge of the Baduy people encompasses social, cultural, and environmental elements essential for sustainable development. This study intends to examine and integrate literature about social, cultural, and environmental ethics within Baduy wisdom. The employed methodology is a systematic literature review adhering to the PRISMA 2020 principles. A literature search was performed via Google Scholar and Scopus via the Publish or Perish tool, encompassing papers from 2016 to 2024, along by a comprehensive analysis of 8 chosen articles. The study's findings delineate three primary themes: social ethics (pertaining to customary structures and community organisations), cultural ethics (concerning the significance of rituals and spiritual values), and environmental ethics (focused on nature conservation and restrictions on environmental alteration) through customary law (Pikukuh), spiritual beliefs (Sunda Wiwitan), traditional agricultural practices, and intergenerational oral traditions (Pamali). This study reinforces the concept of a comprehensive and community-oriented framework for sustainable living, grounded in the ideals of simplicity, collaboration, and harmony with nature. Notwithstanding the variety of existing research, considerable deficiencies persist, particularly in the analysis of social, cultural, and environmental ethics rooted in local wisdom, the interdisciplinary comprehension of the Baduy community's knowledge system, and the imperative of integrating local wisdom into global dialogues on sustainability and cultural preservation.

Abstract

E-portfolios are increasingly common in developed countries, with over half of colleges and universities offering e-portfolio-based learning. This study aims to enhance the quality of education in vocational high schools (SMK) in Tangerang district by using e-portfolio-based assessments to evaluate and improve teacher performance. The result is an e-portfolio assessment instrument, accessible via a website, for both teachers and students. The development model employed is the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Tools used in this study include validation sheets, project scores, and response questionnaires. Based on expert and user validations, the assessment instrument received a score of 86.00%, categorizing it as 'very valid'. The reliability analysis showed an average reliability coefficient of 0.783, which is considered high. To improve the quality of education in vocational high schools (SMK) in Tangerang Regency, it is recommended to use e-portfolios to evaluate and improve teacher performance. The inputs and indicators for developing teacher performance should be managed by an application that is user-friendly and comprehensive, covering everything from activities to evaluations. Therefore, the e-portfolio application was created to enhance teacher performance and facilitate the evaluation process.

Abstract

Penelitian yang memiliki tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan rencana kegiatan belajar yang telah guru siapkan terhadap materi mendemonstrasikan puisi Puisi-puisi Cinta karya WS Rendra oleh siswa, fase pembelajaran berbasis proyek yang dilaksanakan guru dan mendeskripsikan penggunaan Metode Studi Kasus dengan Model Project Based Learning terhadap keterampilan membaca Puisi-puisi Cinta karya WS Rendra. Penelitian ini memilih pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data terkumpul melalui teknik observasi, wawancara yang melibatkan guru Bahasa Indonesia dan siswa kelas X SMAN 1 Petir dan instrumen tes membaca puisi. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah guru Bahasa Indonesia dan siswa kelas X SMAN 1 Petir. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa penggunaan model PBL mampu melakukan peningkatan kemampuan membaca puisi siswa dengan rata-rata nilai kategori cukup dan baik.

Abstract

Distance learning (DLE) has become an integral part of the global education system, especially with the advancement of technology and challenges such as the pandemic. However, DLE also faces several challenges, including low student engagement and accessibility issues. This paper aims to identify and analyze innovative solutions that can address these challenges. Through case studies and literature review, we explore strategies such as personalization of learning, use of interactive technologies, and inclusive approaches to increase student engagement and ensure equitable accessibility. The results show that a combination of these strategies can significantly improve the effectiveness of DLE.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively identify and analyze the effectiveness of various learning media in improving students’ writing skills within Indonesian language instruction. The research method employed is a quantitative descriptive meta-analysis. Data sources were systematically obtained from 15 academic articles on meta-analysis of learning media and writing skills, accessed primarily through Google Scholar. All selected publications met strict criteria, including a focus on the last five years (2020–2025) and SINTA accreditation status. Data collection utilized purposive sampling, selecting articles based strictly on thematic relevance. Data analysis involved calculating percentages to identify media dominance and conducting qualitative narrative reviews to synthesize findings. The recapitulation of findings reveals that digital media is overwhelmingly the most dominant type of media used (73.33% of the total), compared to analog or traditional media (26.67%). Furthermore, studies focusing on the junior high school level are the most frequent (40%). Crucially, the overall average effect size of the learning media use across all studies is 0.88. This high value falls squarely into the large category, thereby indicating a positive and statistically significant influence on enhancing students' writing skills.
