Abstract

Abstract. Mental health is an important aspect of human life that affects emotional, psychological and social well-being. In recent years, the number of mental health disorders has increased globally, including in Indonesia. This phenomenon emphasizes the need for a more holistic approach in dealing with mental health problems. In a predominantly Muslim society, the Qur'an offers principles that can be used as a solution in maintaining mental health. This study aims to examine the concept of mental health in the Qur'anic perspective and the principles that can be applied in everyday life. Using a qualitative method based on literature study, this research identifies various Qur'anic verses related to mental health. The results showed that the Qur'an provides guidance in managing stress, anxiety, and uncertainty in life through the concepts of faith, tawakal, patience, gratitude, and dhikr. This study confirms that a Qur'an-based spiritual approach can be an alternative in maintaining mental health holistically, especially in facing the challenges of modern life. Abstract

Perkembangan humanisme di Eropa tidak dapat dipisahkan dari kontribusi pemikiran Islam yang telah lebih dahulu membangun tradisi intelektual berbasis rasionalitas, etika, dan penghargaan terhadap ilmu pengetahuan, khususnya pada masa Renaissance. Humanisme dan Renaissance memiliki keterkaitan erat, di mana humanisme menjadi pendorong utama lahirnya zaman kebangkitan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran penting para pemikir Muslim dalam membentuk fondasi konseptual pendidikan humanistik di Eropa. Melalui pendekatan historis-filosofis dan studi pustaka, ditemukan bahwa kontribusi Islam sangat signifikan, terutama melalui aktivitas penerjemahan karya-karya klasik Yunani-Romawi, pengembangan institusi pendidikan tinggi, serta dialog filosofis yang menjembatani pemikiran Timur dan Barat. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa humanisme Eropa bukanlah produk tunggal peradaban Barat, melainkan hasil interaksi lintas budaya yang kaya dan kompleks.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan historis-filosofis. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka (library research), yang melibatkan analisis terhadap sumber-sumber primer maupun sekunder berupa karya-karya klasik filsafat Islam, dokumen sejarah, serta literatur akademik terkait perkembangan humanisme di Eropa. Dengan pendekatan ini ditemukan bahwa kontribusi Islam sangat signifikan, terutama melalui kegiatan penerjemahan karya-karya klasik, pengembangan sistem pendidikan tinggi, serta dialog filosofis lintas budaya.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of suboptimal student learning achievement at Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Al-Musaddadiyah Garut, which is characterized by a downward trend in academic attainment alongside low student motivation and affective development. This condition indicates that the implementation of guidance and counseling service policies has not been optimally integrated into learning management. The study aims to analyze the influence of guidance and counseling service policy implementation on learning management, the influence of these policies on learning achievement, and the influence of learning management on student learning achievement. The research method employed is a quantitative approach with a survey method. The population consists of all teachers at MTs Al-Musaddadiyah Garut, with a total sampling of 30 respondents. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) via the SmartPLS application. The results show that the implementation of guidance and counseling service policies has a positive and significant effect on both learning management and student learning achievement. Furthermore, learning management is proven to have a positive and significant effect on student learning achievement. The coefficient of determination (R²) values of 0.630 for learning management and 0.730 for learning achievement indicate that the model possesses strong explanatory power. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the effective integration of guidance and counseling services within learning management is crucial for improving student learning achievement holistically. It is recommended to strengthen the collaboration between subject teachers and guidance counselors as a key strategy in madrasah educational management.
