Abstract

Tourism literature establishes a reciprocal relationship between literature and tourism, with the digitization of literary works offering significant potential for tourism development. This research explores the use of digitalized literary works as a medium for promoting tourism in West Sumatra, Indonesia. Employing a qualitative descriptive method and a tourism literature approach, the study incorporates a literature review to analyze works related to West Sumatra. These are categorized into various forms of digitalized literature, including electronic books, audiovisual media, and films. The findings demonstrate that technological advancements expand the accessibility of literary works, reaching broader audiences and enhancing the potential for tourism promotion. Digital formats, such as videos shared on social media and films, provide imaginative portrayals of West Sumatra, transforming literary narratives into compelling visual experiences that highlight local tourist destinations. The study concludes that digitalization not only preserves the essence of literary tourism but also amplifies its impact by strengthening promotional strategies. By leveraging digitalized literary works, this approach is anticipated to attract more tourists and elevate the profile of West Sumatra as a vibrant cultural and tourism destination.

Abstract

Background: Sodium Borohydrida is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula NaBH4, this compound is soluble in alcohol and some ether has not been added to air into hydrogen gas containing a catalyst. Findings: In this way it can be produced safely for fuel cells. Methods: Producing catalytically H2 from solution, NaBH4 has gained many advantages, NaBH4 is not flammable, environmentally friendly reaction products, the rate of generation of H2 is easily controlled, H2 can be produced at low temperatures. Conclusion: The catalyst used in the hydrolysis of sodium borohydride is Cu and Co which acts as a heterogeneous catalyst. The limited surface area of heterogeneous catalysts causes lower catalytic activity because catalyst activity is directly related to its surface area. Thus, the use of Cu and Co with large surfaces provides a potential route for increasing catalytic activity. For this reason, we use CuCo / Al2O3 as a catalyst in the hydrolysis of sodium borohydride.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the large amount of waste in West Sumatra, which was then developed by the United West Sumatra program in managing waste. The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of participatory leadership in increasing community collaboration in the "United West Sumatra" program which is focused on waste management in West Sumatra Province, especially in case studies at the West Sumatra Environment Agency. A qualitative approach is used with the case study method, where data is obtained through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The results of the study show that participatory leadership implemented by the Environment Agency plays a significant role in encouraging active community involvement, increasing the sense of collective responsibility, and strengthening synergy between the government and citizens in waste management. Factors such as two-way communication, openness to input, and community empowerment are key elements in the effectiveness of participatory leadership, including in the success of the United West Sumatra program. The results of the program seem to have more impact because of the shrinking waste and also the increasing number of effective waste management places. The implications of this study inform that the United West Sumatra program must continue to be carried out by the government by using a good leadership style and moving forward in managing and overcoming waste in West Sumatra.
