Abstract

The skill of writing anecdotal texts is often one of the writing skills that is difficult, not mastered and not in demand by students. As a result of this, many students are unfocused and unable to write good anecdotal texts. The aim of this research is to describe the influence of Wordwall media, PowerPoint interactive media and the differences in the influence of Wordwall media and PowerPoint interactive media on the anecdotal text writing skills of class X students at SMAN 1 Kalanganyar. This research uses an experimental method with a quantitative approach and a pretest-posttest control group design. The sampling technique in this research used a simple random sampling technique, and class X-5 was selected as the experimental class and class X-1 as the control class. The data collection technique for this research comes from the results of anecdotal text writing tests in the form of pretest and posttest, with assessment instruments containing content, organization, vocabulary, language use and mechanics. The results of this research show the influence of wordwall media with an average pretest score of 58.9 and an average posttest score of 81.5 with a point difference of 22.6. And the influence of interactive powerpoint media with pretest results showing an average score of 52.9 and posttest with an average of 72.8 and a point difference of 19.9. So it is concluded that wordwall media is superior to powerpoint interactive media in improving skills write student anecdote texts. For this reason, learning skills to write anecdotal texts will be better by using wordwall media.

Abstract

The analysis of Indonesian spelling errors is part of the language error analysis unit, which refers to efforts to examine whether the use of Indonesian spelling is in accordance with linguistic rules. The findings of spelling errors in the descriptions of museum collections cannot be taken lightly, as museum collection descriptions serve as educational media for visitors. This study aims to serve as an educational and learning tool to raise awareness among language users to use Indonesian correctly in accordance with linguistic rules. The objectives of this study are to classify and describe the types and forms of Indonesian spelling errors found in the descriptions of museum collections in Banten; (2) to describe the factors that influence Indonesian spelling errors in the descriptions of museum collections in Banten; and (3) to explain the implementation of the analysis of Indonesian spelling errors found in the descriptions of museum collections in Banten in teaching modules for junior high school Indonesian language learning. The research method used was qualitative with a case study strategy. The research results found 390 spelling error data in 124 descriptions of collection objects in museums. The data included 209 data on letter usage errors, 53 word writing errors, 123 punctuation usage errors, and 8 writing errors in loanwords. There are four factors influencing spelling errors in museum collection descriptions: lack of attention to detail, lack of understanding of EYD V application, lack of mechanisms for monitoring and correcting writing, and lack of involvement from the Language Development and Promotion Agency. The findings and data sources from this research can be implemented as teaching materials in the ninth-grade Indonesian language curriculum, specifically in the descriptive text and writing elements modules. The analysis of spelling errors can certainly contribute positively to evaluation and learning for language users.

Abstract

Menulis teks pidato menjadi salah satu keterampilan yang seringkali dianggap sulit, tidak dikuasai, dan kurang menarik untuk dipelajari. Akibatnya, siswa cenderung tidak fokus dan tidak mampu menulis teks pidato dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh media pembelajaran berbasis website genially dan carrd.co, serta perbedaan pengaruh antara kedua media tersebut terhadap keterampilan menulis teks pidato di kelas VIII SMPN 5 Kota Serang. Penelitian kuantitatif ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik simple random sampling, dan terpilih kelas VIII-A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII-C sebagai kelas kontrol. Data yang diperoleh berupa hasil pretest dan posttest menulis teks pidato melalui perhitungan statistik dengan bantuan SPSS versi 25. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh media pembelajaran berbasis website genially dengan skor rata-rata pretest sebesar 52,93 dan skor posttest sebesar 82,60 dengan peningkatan poin sebesar 29,67. Sera adanya pengaruh media pembelajaran berbasis website carrd.co dengan hasil nilai pretest menunjukkan skor rata-rata sebesar 56,07 dan posttest dengan skor rata-rata sebesar 73,27 dengan peningkatan poin sebesar 17,2. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis website genially lebih efektif dibandingkan media berbasis website carrd.co dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks pidato siswa. Untuk itu, pembelajaran keterampilan menulis teks pidato akan lebih baik dengan menggunakan media berbasis website genially.
