Abstract

This research aims to describe the influence of documentary video media on the writing abilities of eighth-grade students at SMP Al-Hikmah Medan during the academic year 2017-2018. The research was conducted at SMP Al-Hikmah Medan with a population of 59 students from two classes, all of whom were included in the research sample. Class VIII 2 was designated as the experimental group, while Class VIII 1 served as the control group. This research utilized an experimental method, a technique designed to reveal clear facts about the phenomena under investigation. The data collection tool employed was a written test. The writing abilities of biographies using documentary video media in the experimental class were deemed good, as 13 students (43.33%) fell within the 80-100 range, 13 students (43.33%) achieved a "very good" rating, 15 students (50%) attained a "good" rating, and 2 students (6.66%) received a "less satisfactory" rating. In contrast, the writing abilities of biographies without the use of documentary video media were less satisfactory, with 17 students (58.6%) falling within the 40-45 range. Based on the test results, it can be concluded that the learning outcomes of students recommended to use documentary video media were higher compared to those who did not use such media in their biography writing abilities in the eighth grade at SMP Al-Hikmah Medan during the academic year 2017-2018. This conclusion is supported by the results of hypothesis testing, where t-value > t-table, specifically 2.22 > 1.532, indicating that Ho (null hypothesis) is rejected and Ha (alternative hypothesis) is accepted. This means that there is an influence of using documentary video media as a learning model on the writing abilities of eighth-grade students at SMP Al-Hikmah Medan during the academic year 2017-2018.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengembangan, kelayakan dan respons peserta didik terhadap film dokumenter drama yang dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya media pembelajaran yang digunakan di sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D). Mengacu pada model ADDIE yang memiliki 5 tahapan, yakni 1) Tahap Analisis (Analyze), 2) Tahap Desain (Design), 3) Tahap Pengembangan (Development), 4) Tahap Implementasi (Implementation), dan 5) Tahap Evaluasi (Evaluation). Media yang dihasilkan berupa film dokumenter drama. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMAN 8 Kota Serang dengan 34 siswa kelas 11 sebagai subjek penelitian. Untuk menguji kelayakan media, dilakukan validasi dengan 2 ahli bahasa, 2 ahli media dan 2 ahli materi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis validasi, media film dokumenter drama yang dikembangkan termasuk dalam kategori “Sangat Layak” dengan rata-rata 87,15%. dan Hasil analisis data respon peserta didik mendapatkan nilai rata-rata sebesar 82,20% dengan kategori “sangat baik”. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran Film dokumenter drama sangat layak dan dapat digunakan untuk pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia materi drama.

Abstract

Kurangnya kemampuan menulis pada masyarakat Indonesia membuat mereka kesulitan dalam menyampaikan ide dalam bentuk tulisan. Keterampilan menulis merupakan salah satu aspek kebahasaan yang cukup sulit dikuasai jika tidak dilatih dengan tekun. Upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis pada masyarakat Indonesia perlu dilakukan sejak dini. Pembelajaran keterampilan menulis dapat dilakukan di sekolah yaitu pada materi menulis cerita pendek. Pemilihan media yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis cerita pendek penting dilakukan untuk menarik minat peserta didik. Media yang tepat dapat mengefektifkan pembelajaran dan meningkatkan keterampilan menulis cerita pendek peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji keefektifan media film pendek dan lagu terhadap keterampilan menulis cerita pendek peserta didik. Temuan dalam penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa terdapat keefektifan media film pendek dan lagu terhadap keterampilan menulis cerita pendek. Hasil posttest dengan menggunakan media film pendek menunjukkan nilai rata-rata sebesar 78,89, sedangkan hasil posttest dengan menggunakan media lagu menunjukkan nilai rata-rata sebesar 73,52. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa media film pendek lebih efektif dalam pembelajaran menulis cerita pendek. Hasil tersebut membuktikan bahwa peserta didik lebih tertarik dan termotivasi dalam belajar sehingga keterampilan menulis cerita pendeknya meningkat.

Abstract

Students' success in understanding and mastering lessons begins with good listening skills. This research aims to create three-dimensional based smart box media. The research method used in this research is Research and Developments with the Sugiyono development model. The results of this research can improve students' listening skills by obtaining an average score from media experts of 94% (Very Decent), an average score from material experts of 91% (Very Decent), while an average score from linguists is 90 % (Very Decent). And the student response results were 93% (Very Good). Therefore, Three Dimensional Based Smart Box Media to train students' listening skills in elementary schools is very feasible and very good for use in the learning process of students in fourth grade elementary school.

Abstract

Penelitian Meta analisis bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak pembelajaran berbantuan audiovisual terhadap hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia. Data dari berbagai jurnal dikumpulkan dan digabungkan untuk mendapatkan kesimpulan secara menyeluruh. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menelusuri jurnal-jurnal melalui aplikasi Google Scholar. Penelitian ini melibatkan 10 artikel penelitian eksperimen. Dalam penelitian ini, data dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji heterogenitas. Selanjutnya, effect size dihitung untuk mengevaluasi sejauh mana penggunaan strategi pembelajaran menggunakan audiovisual berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menghitung besarnya pengaruh (effect size). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan strategi pembelajaran menggunakan audiovisual memiliki dampak besar terhadap hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia siswa. Rentang pengaruh berkisar antara 4,33% hingga 36,55%, dengan rata-rata sebesar 13,787%. Hasil penghitungan effect size menunjukkan angka 1,65. Temuan penelitian ini mendukung bahwa pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dengan bantuan media audiovisual mempunyai penting dalam upaya meningkatkan hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian Meta analisis bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak pembelajaran berbantuan audiovisual terhadap hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using Google Form as a summative assessment tool in Indonesian subjects. This research was conducted on students at SMP Negeri 17 Serang City. The method used is qualitative with case studies. This approach was chosen in the study because it aims to describe and obtain an in-depth picture of the use of Google Forms in the implementation of summative assessments. The results of the study show that the use of Google Form increases student learning motivation, improves the quality of student learning outcomes, or makes it easier for teachers to manage assessment data. In conclusion, Google Form can be an effective alternative in the implementation of summative assessments in Indonesian subjects.

Abstract

The curriculum is a set of plans and arrangements regarding learning materials that serve as a guide in teaching and learning activities. Indonesia has experienced several curriculum changes, including the 1947, 1964, 1968, 1973, 1975, 1984, 1994, 1997, 2004, 2013, and Merdeka Curriculum. Given the importance of the concepts of curriculum and learning in the education system, efforts are needed to plan lessons that align with the material being taught. The relatively quick shift from the 2013 Curriculum to the Merdeka Curriculum has made many teachers feel unprepared for these changes. At SMA Negeri 14, the 2013 Curriculum is applied for grade 12, while the Merdeka Curriculum is implemented in grades 10 and 11

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the implementation of the Independent Curriculum at SMAN 6 Kota Serang, focusing on the challenges and opportunities faced in its implementation. The approach used is qualitative with a case study method, involving in-depth interviews with the Vice Principal for Curriculum. The results of the study indicate that: First, the implementation of the Independent Curriculum faces major challenges, namely teacher adjustment and the application of technology in learning. Teachers need to adjust to changes in the curriculum that are more flexible and technology-based, while schools face the need to strengthen facilities and training. Second, the implementation of technology such as the use of Google Form, Google Meet, and Google Classroom has increased the interactivity of learning, although there are technical obstacles that must be overcome. Third, full support from the school in the form of training, facilities, and collaboration between teachers has proven to be important for the success of the implementation of the Independent Curriculum

Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of Norm-referenced Assessment (PAN) and Benchmark Assessment (PAP) in processing the Indonesian language learning outcomes of students at SMAIT Putri Al Hanif Cilegon. A qualitative approach with an interactive case study method was used. Teachers were identified as the primary data sources, while related documents served as supporting data. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman method, which includes three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The findings reveal that SMAIT Putri Al Hanif applies both evaluative approaches during midterm assessments to periodically measure students' progress and achievements in Indonesian language learning. This demonstrates the school's commitment to providing holistic and measurable assessments, enriching the Indonesian learning process. However, this study has limitations, particularly in the research timeline. It only evaluates a few factors influencing the quality of midterm exam scores for 10th-grade students, leaving room for further research to explore other unexplored factors. Conclusions are drawn based solely on the available data analysis, emphasizing the need for future studies to adopt different methods, broader samples, and more comprehensive research instruments. The author hopes that future research can more comprehensively and efficiently manage and evaluate student outcomes from both formative and summative assessments. Teachers, as evaluators, must understand learning outcome processing techniques to minimize unfairness in student assessment. This study offers valuable insights into evaluation practices and provides a foundation for developing more effective assessment methods in Indonesian language teaching.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and determine the influence of snakes and ladders media on the speaking ability of grade V students. This study uses quasi-experimental methods or quasi-quantitative experiments and design selection in the form of pretest-posttest. This technique uses two different classes. The first class is class V-A as an experimental class in learning using snake and ladder media, while the control class is class V-C using image media as a comparison. The results obtained from the average pretest of 65.33 and posttest of 79.60 saw an increase in the average value of the pretest and posttest which were 2.57 points apart. Then continued the average difference in the final test using a two-party t-test with a significant level (α= 0.05). The result of calculating the value of ttable = 2.002 and tcalculate = 1.391 with the criterion if –ttabel < tcalculate < ttable then Ha is accepted. From the calculation results, it is obtained -2.002 < 1.391 > 2.002, so it is in accordance with the test criteria -ttable < tcalculate > ttable. So Ho accepted Ha was rejected. That is, there is no significant influence between the use of snakes and ladders media and image media, but snakes and ladders media have an effect on the speaking ability of grade V students.
