Abstract

The research objective was determined how the students learning after using Word Square Model on vocabulary mastery of students. A quantitative research method with a quasi-experimental research design was used in this work. 44 students studying English education made up the study's sample. SPSS used as the data analysis method. The findings of the paired sample T test indicated that there was a difference between the average student learning outcomes for the experimental class's pre-test and post-test, with the output of pair 1 yielding a value of sig. (2 tailed) of 0.000 0.05. Based on the output pair 2's value of sig. (2 tailed) of 0.000 0.05, it was determined that there was a difference between the control class's pre- and post-test averages for student learning outcomes. Based on the output pair 2's value of sig. (2 tailed) of 0.000 0.05, it was determined that there was a difference between the control class's pre- and post-test averages for student learning outcomes. The sig value was calculated using the Independent T test findings. It indicated that there is a difference between employing the Word Square Model and lectures in terms of the average student learning outcomes (2 tailed) of 0.000 0.05. The Word Square Model is better for students’ vocabulary mastery, as may be inferred from the previous description. Keywords:  Word Square, Vocabulary, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

This research aims to implement and evaluate design concepts and develop a PjBL-based students worksheet adapted to teaching materials to improve the 4C’s skill of Senior High School students in English subjects. Development research was used in this research. The PjBL-based students' worksheet was developed by matching the criteria for the components of the students' worksheet model: model syntax, social systems, management reaction principles, support systems, instructional impacts, and accompaniments, as well as other necessary instruments. The instruments developed were students' worksheet model validation sheets and learning tools validated by experts and practitioners. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistical analysis. The results of this research indicated that the Project-based Learning (PjBL)-based students' worksheet model met the level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness to improve the 4C's skills of Senior High School students which contained: (a) syntax, (b) social system built on the principle of collaboration, (c) the principle of management reaction in which teachers act as facilitators, motivators, moderators, and consultants, (d) support systems in the form of Learning Implementation Plans, Teacher Books, Student Books, and Participant Worksheets Educate, (e) instructional impact in the form of students' 4C's skills and accompaniment impact in the form of critical thinking, creative thinking, responsibility, openness, and understanding of concepts.

Abstract

Pada kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang menjadi mitra adalah UPT SD NEGERI 067250 Medan yang beralamat di Jl.mangaan I Gg Amal I kelurahan Mabar Hilir Kecamatan Medan Deli Kota Medan. Masalah mitra dari hasil observasi diketahui masih banyak guru yang belum memahami proses Pembelajaran Berbasis Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) dengan baik dan benar hal ini dapat dilihat dari seluruh jumlah guru yang hadir pada kegiatan PKM sebanyak 30 Guru yang akan mengikuti Pembelajaran Berbasis Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) hanya 3 orang saja yang pernah mendengar Pembelajaran Berbasis Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) sedangkan 27 orang guru belum mengetahuinya. Metode kegiatan ini : (1) Penyajian materi mengenai pembelajran berbasis Culturally Pesponsive Teaching (CRT). , (2) Pendampingan sosialisasi pembelajaran berbasis budaya, (3) Evaluasi kegiatan dengan memberikan angket, (4) Refleksi hasil kegiatan. Dari keseluruhan rangkaian proses kegiatan pelatihan yang dilakukan, jumlah guru yang hadir yang ada berjumlah 30 orang, sehingga total dari kegiatan tersebut adalah 100% guru ikut berpartisipasi dan antusias dalam mengikuti pelatihan pembuatan Pembelajaran Berbasis Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) Sebanyak 90% guru memberikan respon berupa pertanyaan dapat memahami Pembelajaran Berbasis Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT). Dan 10 % memberikan pernyataan belum memahami dengan baik terkait kegiatan tersebut di UPT SD NEGERI 067250.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to integrate CRT (Culturally Responsive Teaching) and TPACK in English language learning and develop 21st Century skills with a culturally responsive approach. The research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive approach, which looked at each student and background holistically. Research is done using a variety of learning methods such as Think pair share, internships, discussions, direct instruction and debates. The CRT research associates the concept of learning English with the cultural background as well as the characteristics of the student. Practical Implementation of this method includes technological mastery, pedagogic knowledge and learning content. Data analysis techniques use the techniques presented by Miles and Huberman, namely data reduction, data presentation, and verification and conclusion withdrawal. The results of this study are demonstrating the application of TPACK's integrated CRT in developing 21st century skills for students, this can be seen from the development of learning in understanding the concepts of text material that are based on local intelligence. Increased because of the ongoing learning in addition to conveying theory there are also practices without expressions that directly involve the culture of students. A culturally responsive integrated approach to learning is an approach that unifies the culture of students and is associated with English text so that students can understand what teachers are telling and learning seems meaningful.

Abstract

Insurance for modern society is viewed as a need to ensure self-protection and property from the impending doom. The islamic insurance presence is one of the choices of the Muslim community, as the perception of sharia insurance is one of the future costs of investment. The process of claims made by disaster is all on the sharia insurance mechanism. Therefore, it is aimed at the development of sharia insurance in Indonesia and its mechanism and problems in the post of the covid-19 pandemic. The research method used was an earlier research method which was included in the library study method. It is hoped that with the full support of the government's literacy insurance growing and that people will also use sharia insurance products and that non-muslims will also be able to use sharia insurance products and benefit from using them. Asuransi bagi masyarakat modern dianggap sebagai kebutuhan untuk menjamin perlindungan diri dan harta benda dari musibah yang akan datang. Kehadiran asuransi syariah menjadi salah satu pilihan masyarakat muslim, karena persepsi masyarakat terhadap asuransi syariah merupakan salah satu cara investasi untuk menghadapi resiko di masa yang akan datang. Proses klaim peserta yang tertimpa musibah/bencana semua terdapat pada mekanisme asuransi syariah. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perkembangan asuransi syariah di Indonesia serta mekanisme dan problematikanya pada pasca pandemi covid-19. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian terdahulu yang mana termasuk dalam metode studi Pustaka. Diharapkan dengan dukungan penuh pemerintah literasi masyarakat mengenai asuransi syariah meningkat dan masyarakat juga menggunakan produk asuransi syariah bahkan nantinya bukan hanya masyarakat muslim saja yang menggunakan tapi juga masyarakat non-muslim juga dapat menggunakan produk asuransi syariah dan mendapatkan keuntungan dan manfaat menggunakannya.
