Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine how the character education bentuk is being implemented in society with a particular emphasis on the function of governmental, social, and public institutions. In this study, we use the qualitative research method with a literature study approach to better understand the role that public spaces, social organizations, and governmental bodies play in character education and how that role affects the development of good character in society. This study explores the perspectives of many stakeholders in the application of character education bentuks in society using data collection approaches from various documentations, including journals and document analysis. It is anticipated that this study's findings will help people better comprehend the significance of the role that governments play in society.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the management of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in public universities, particularly at Advanced Indonesia University (UIMA), and to identify efforts to enhance its effectiveness in instilling moral and religious values relevant to current developments. The research adopts a qualitative approach with a descriptive method to provide a systematic overview of the factors influencing the success of PAI, including both teaching aspects and supporting infrastructure. The study identified several challenges, including variations in religious education models, the need to integrate the inclusive spirit of Islamic teachings, educator professionalism, and the limitations in religious infrastructure. Proposed solutions include strengthening the curriculum based on the fundamental values of the Qur'an and Sunnah, alongside a holistic approach that not only focuses on academics but also on character and ethics formation. Additionally, the development of facilities, such as mosques, is expected to support increased religious activities. The conclusion of this research is that the management of PAI at public universities, like UIMA, requires an integrated approach that blends academic knowledge with support from various stakeholders to foster a competitive and character-building Islamic education. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi tantangan dalam pengelolaan Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di perguruan tinggi umum, khususnya di Universitas Indonesia Maju (UIMA), serta upaya untuk meningkatkan efektivitasnya dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai moral dan agama yang relevan dengan perkembangan zaman. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif untuk menyusun gambaran sistematis mengenai faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi keberhasilan PAI, baik dari aspek pengajaran maupun infrastruktur pendukung. Hasil penelitian mengidentifikasi berbagai tantangan, termasuk model pengembangan pendidikan agama yang berbeda, pentingnya integrasi semangat inklusivitas ajaran Islam, profesionalisme pendidik, dan keterbatasan sarana prasarana keagamaan. Solusi yang diusulkan mencakup penguatan kurikulum dengan dasar nilai-nilai fundamental Al-Qur’an dan as-Sunnah, serta adopsi pendekatan holistik yang tidak hanya mencakup aspek akademis tetapi juga pembentukan karakter dan etika mahasiswa. Selain itu, pengembangan sarana seperti masjid diharapkan dapat mendukung peningkatan aktivitas keagamaan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa pengelolaan PAI di perguruan tinggi umum, seperti UIMA, tidak hanya membutuhkan pendekatan yang terintegrasi dengan ilmu pengetahuan umum, tetapi juga dukungan dari berbagai pihak untuk mencapai pendidikan Islam yang berdaya saing dan berorientasi pada pembentukan karakter Islami.

Abstract

Abstract

Pancasila faces complex character crises in the digital era, demanding holistic character education. This qualitative study formulates a comprehensive strategy to strengthen Pancasila values through the theological and pedagogical principles of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) within the Kurikulum Merdeka. Using a narrative literature review of 15 selected journals, the study reveals that IRE functions as the theological-ethical soul of Pancasila. The novelty of this research lies in formulating a practical synergy: integrating religious moderation (wasathiyah) and multicultural strategies into the Pancasila Student Profile (P5). This integration effectively counters radicalism and fosters social solidarity (ukhuwah basyariyah). The study concludes that IRE transcends ritualistic doctrine, acting as a primary catalyst for national character. It successfully bridges individual piety with inclusive civic action, forming a spiritually deep and highly loyal younger generation.

Abstract

The development of national education requires Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers who are not only legally and academically competent but also ethically and spiritually grounded. This study analyzes the concept of teacher professionalism through a comparative content analysis between Law No. 14 of 2005 on Teachers and Lecturers and the classical Islamic ethical perspective in Tadzkirah Al-Sami’ wa al-Mutakallim by Badruddin Ibn Jama’ah. Using a library research design with qualitative content analysis, the study identifies two primary dimensions of professionalism: (1) formal-legal competence, encompassing pedagogical, professional, social, and personality standards as mandated by the law; and (2) moral-spiritual integrity, emphasizing sincerity (ikhlas), adab, humility, and ethical responsibility as articulated in the classical text. The analysis results in a dual-dimension professionalism model that integrates legal compliance with ethical internalization, forming a legal-ethical integrative framework for IRE teacher development. This model demonstrates that holistic professionalism requires the alignment of technical competence, regulatory standards, and inner moral formation. The study contributes theoretically by offering a structured synthesis between modern legal frameworks and classical Islamic educational ethics in shaping contemporary IRE teacher professionalism.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to create character education innovation through the development of the BRAVE (Building Religious and Value-based Education) Model. The primary focus of this innovation is to integrate religious values—honesty, courage, and independence—into a digital educational game platform to address the lack of adaptive character-learning media for early childhood in the digital age.Methodology – This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with a 4-D procedure (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The Define stage included an analysis of the needs of teachers at Raudhatul Athfal (RA) institutions; the Design stage produced a prototype of an interactive digital game based on moral dilemma scenarios; and the Develop stage involved validation by six experts (in materials, media, and practitioners) with a feasibility score of 89%. The model was tested on a limited basis with 60 students at four partner RAs.Findings – The study's results confirm that digital educational games in the BRAVE Model significantly transform children's behavior. Pretest-posttest analysis shows a dramatic increase in honesty (58% to 84%), courage (55% to 81%), and independence (60% to 86%), with p < 0.05. Qualitative findings reveal that the game's interactivity increases children's emotional involvement, enabling the internalization of religious values to occur more naturally and permanently than with conventional methods.Contribution – The BRAVE model has proven to be an innovative and applicable solution for early childhood education institutions seeking to strengthen religious character through the measured, systematic use of digital media.
