Abstract

Introduction: Psoriasis and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) shares immunological and genetic risk factors. The coexistence of both conditions is extremely rare, with a prevalence of about 0.69%. The following case report outlines a rare case of generalized pustular psoriasis (GPP) coexisting with SLE and highlights the challenges in managing the patient. Case Report: A woman presented with complaints of pus-filled bumps all over her body. Her previous treatment history included methotrexate and cyclosporine for 2 years, and there were increased transaminase enzyme levels. Physical examination revealed pustules, patches, and erythematous plaques that are multiple and well-defined, and a positive lake of pus sign with a generalized distribution. The BSA score was 87% and the SLEDAI score was 10. The therapy administered was a 300 mg injection of secukinumab. Discussion: The coexistence of GPP and SLE is rare. The upregulation of Th1 and Th17 immune pathways can sustain chronic inflammation in both psoriasis and SLE. Managing such cases poses a challenge to clinicians. Methylprednisolone therapy for SLE may trigger psoriasis relapses, whereas phototherapy as an adjuvant therapy for psoriasis may lead to SLE flare-ups. The elevated transaminase enzyme levels in this patient also posed a challenge in appropriate therapy selection. Studies have shown an increase in IL-17 expression in patients with SLE and psoriasis. Administering biological agents that inhibit IL-17 may be considered as a therapy option for patients with psoriasis and SLE. Conclusion: The coexistence of GPP and SLE is a rare case and poses unique challenges in its management. Secukinumab may be considered as a therapeutic option for patients with GPP and SLE.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the factors influencing the demand for salak fruit at Pasar Anyar, Bogor City. The observed fluctuations in demand reflect the influence of various factors, particularly economic and social aspects. Using a quantitative approach, this research employs descriptive methods and multiple linear regression analysis to examine the roles of price and income variables in influencing salak demand. Primary data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 35 respondents using an accidental sampling technique, while secondary data were obtained from relevant institutions. The results indicate that the price of salak has a negative and significant effect on demand, whereas consumer income does not have a meaningful influence. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 66.5% suggests that the majority of the variation in demand can be explained by these two variables. These findings highlight the importance of appropriate pricing strategies in maintaining demand stability and encouraging increased purchases of salak fruit in traditional markets. Therefore, this research is expected to serve as a reference for traders and market managers in formulating more effective and responsive marketing strategies aligned with consumer dynamics.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to determine the analysis of the chicken raw material supply chain at the Rice Bowl at Miwiti SMEs using a qualitative descriptive approach method based on the results of interviews and direct observations at the Miwiti SME location. The results of the study indicate that the supply chain at the Rice Bowl at Miwiti SMEs cannot be separated from the Upstream supply chain, Internal supply chain, and Downstream supply chain. These results indicate that the upstream supply chain is related to the activity of supplying raw materials starting from chicken traders at Pasar Anyar Bogor - processing into chicken rice bowls - rice bowls at Miwiti SMEs. The internal supply chain includes procurement of raw materials - washing - cutting - draining water - seasoning - frying - draining oil - packaging. The downstream supply chain includes distribution activities to end consumers. The supply chain that occurs at Miwiti SMEs is running well from the procurement of chicken raw materials from suppliers to customers.
