Abstract

Jalan lintas Nagari Malai V Suku merupakan rute yang menghubungkan Kota Pariaman dan Kabupaten Padang Pariaman dengan Kabupaten Agam. Jalan lintas ini merupakan jalur rawan kecelakaan lalu lintas. Bentuk pertolongan pertama yang dapat diberikan kepada korban adalah memberikan Bantuan Hidup Dasar (BHD). Penyuluhan dengan cara memberikan edukasi dan pelatihan BHD yang baik dan benar dapat meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat terkait pertolongan darurat kecelakaan. Metode pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh tim adalah berupa penyuluhan BHD kepada masyarakat di Nagari Malai V Suku yang berjumlah 30 orang. Bentuk kegiatan yang dilakukan dalam pengabdian ini yaitu edukasi tentang BHD dengan media power point text, demonstrasi pertolongan BHD oleh tim, dan praktek pertolongan BHD oleh anggota masyarakat Malai V Suku. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yaitu pemberian penyuluhan pertolongan darurat dengan BHD dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang pertolongan darurat pada kecelakaan lalu lintas. Pemberian penyuluhan tentang pertolongan darurat kecelakaan ini diharapkan dapat disemilasikan oleh suatu anggota masyarakat ke anggota masyarakat lainnya sehingga banyak nyawa korban kecelakaan yang dapat diselamatkan.

Abstract

Good dental hygiene is an important aspect in maintaining oral health and preventing various dental diseases, such as caries and periodontal disease. In childhood, knowledge about how to maintain dental hygiene is often still limited, so family support plays a very important role in forming good dental care habits. This study aims to determine the relationship between family support with dental hygiene in students of SDN 04 Cubadak Air. The research method used is an analytical survey with a cross-sectional approach. The population of the study were students of SDN 04 Cubadak Air. The sample of this study consisted of 61 students of SD 04 Cubadak Air who were selected randomly (random sampling). Data were collected through questionnaires to measure the level of knowledge and family support and dental hygiene examinations. The results showed that a relationship between family support (p-value = 0.004 < α = 0.05) and students' dental hygiene. In conclusion, family support is related to dental hygiene in students of SDN 04 Cubadak Air. The researcher's suggestion is that teachers can remind students' families to be more active in providing education about dental care for children.

Abstract

Physical and psychological function decline often occurs when entering old age or also called elderly. The most common psychological problem faced by the elderly is depression. This disorder can interfere with daily activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between depression levels and the ability to carry out daily activities in the elderly at the Sabai Nan Aluih Sicincin Social Home. This type of research is quantitative with an analytical research method with a Cross-sectional approach. This research was conducted at the Sabai Nan Aluih Sicincin Social Home in July 2024. Sampling was carried out using a random sampling technique with a sample size of 52 respondents. Data collection tools using questionnaires. Data analysis using the Chi Square test at the 5% level. Based on the research results obtained from respondents, 34 people (65.4%) had mild depression, 26 people (50.0%) had independent basic activity abilities. The results of the chi square analysis showed a p-value = <α = 0.05) which indicates a relationship between the level of depression and the ability of basic activities in the elderly at the Sabai Nan Aluih Sicincin Social Home. The conclusion is that there is a relationship between the level of depression and the ability of basic activities in the elderly at the Sabai Nan Aluih Sicincin Social Home. Suggestions for the administrators of the social home to provide counseling to the elderly regarding psychological management to avoid depression
