Abstract

World Health Organization (WHO) mengungkapkan terjadi peningkatan jumlah penderita kanker setiap tahunnya hingga mencapai 6,25 juta orang dan dua pertiganya berasal dari negara berkembang termasuk Indonesia (Depkes RI, 2017). Di Indonesia, saat ini diperkirakan terdapat penderita kanker baru 1: 1.000 penduduk per tahun. Berdasarkan data Dinkes Kota Pariaman pada tahun 2018 jumlah WUS terbanyak terdapat di Puskesmas Pariaman yaitu sebanyak 5,759 dan kunjungan pemeriksaan IVA terbanyak di puskesmas Pariaman adalah 891. tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat pengetahuan wanita usia subur (WUS) terhadap perilaku deteksi dini kanker serviks di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Kampung Baru Padusunan. Kanker serviks termasuk kedalam kategori kanker yang ganas. Kanker serviks adalah suatu proses keganasan yang terjadi pada serviks, sehingga jaringan disekitarnya tidak dapat melaksanakan fungsi sebagaimana mestinya. Desain penelitian ini adalah deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional study. Penelitian di lakukan di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Kampung Baru padusunan pada tanggal 01-30 Oktober 2019 dengan sampel 90 orang. Hasil analisa bivariat dengan chi square test menunjukan ada hubungan tingkat pengetahuan wanita usia subur (WUS) terhadap perilaku deteksi dini kanker serviks di peroleh nilai p value 0,189, karena nilai p value < 0,05 sehingga dapat di simpulkan ada hubungan tingkat pengetahuan wanita usia subur (WUS) terhadap perilaku deteksi dini kanker serviks di wilayah kerja puskesmas kampung baru padusunan. Diharapkan responden lebih meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang deteksi dini kanker serviks dengan cara mendengarkan pemberian pendidikan oleh petugas kesehatan mau pun dari media lain agar responden tahu deteksi dini kanker serviks

Abstract

Typhoid fever is a disease caused by the bacteria Salmonella Enterica Serovar Tyhpi (S Thypi), especially its derivative, Salmonella Thyphosa. Common symptoms that often occur in typhoid fever are fever with body temperature rising and falling, especially in the afternoon and evening. A non-pharmacological technique that can be used to reduce the increase in body temperature in fever patients is by water tepid sponge therapy. The aim of this study was to obtain an overview of nursing care for pediatric patients with typhoid fever after therapy water tepid sponge to lower body temperature. This research method used a case study design using a nursing care approach, namely assessment, nursing diagnosis, intervention, implementation and evaluation. Management of patients only uses interventions provided by administration water tepid sponge for 3 days for 20 minutes per day. The results of the study showed that the patient's body temperature decreased from 39.2°C to 36.8°C after nursing intervention. Intervention water tepid sponge can be used as a non-pharmacological alternative to reduce the body temperature of children suffering from hypertherm.

Abstract

Good dental hygiene is an important aspect in maintaining oral health and preventing various dental diseases, such as caries and periodontal disease. In childhood, knowledge about how to maintain dental hygiene is often still limited, so family support plays a very important role in forming good dental care habits. This study aims to determine the relationship between family support with dental hygiene in students of SDN 04 Cubadak Air. The research method used is an analytical survey with a cross-sectional approach. The population of the study were students of SDN 04 Cubadak Air. The sample of this study consisted of 61 students of SD 04 Cubadak Air who were selected randomly (random sampling). Data were collected through questionnaires to measure the level of knowledge and family support and dental hygiene examinations. The results showed that a relationship between family support (p-value = 0.004 < α = 0.05) and students' dental hygiene. In conclusion, family support is related to dental hygiene in students of SDN 04 Cubadak Air. The researcher's suggestion is that teachers can remind students' families to be more active in providing education about dental care for children.

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the factors that causes stroke. Stroke is one of the non-communicable diseases that is the leading cause of death and disability worldwide. The FAST (Face, Arms, Speech, and Times) method is one method that can be used to find out and detect stroke. Early detection of stroke with FAST is effective in accelerating the provision of interventions so as to minimize disability. This study aims to determine the effect of FAST method health education on the knowledge of families suffering from hypertension at the Sungai Limau Health Center. This type of quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design using a one group pretest posttest approach. The study was conducted on August 27, 2024. The sample consisted of 20 respondents with a total sampling technique. The instruments were in the form of questionnaires, Counseling Event Units (SAP) and leaflets. Data analysis used a paired t-test at α = 5%. The results showed that the knowledge of families suffering from hypertension before being given FAST method health education was in the poor category, namely 11 people (55%). The category of respondent knowledge became good, namely 13 people *65.0%) after being given FAST method health education. The results of the paired t-test showed a p-value = 0.000 <α = 0.05 which means that FAST method health education has an effect on the knowledge of families suffering from hypertension at the Sungai Limau Health Center. In conclusion, there is an effect of FAST method health education on the knowledge of families suffering from hypertension at the Sungai Limau Health Center. Suggestions, it is hoped that the Sungai Limau Health Center can provide regular counseling to all hypertension sufferers in this area.

Abstract

Procrastination can be carried out by students from various scientific fields, including nursing students. Procrastination is the behavior of delaying completing tasks. Students who have achievement goal orientation can avoid procrastination behavior. Individuals who have strategies to achieve their goals in achievement can indirectly manage their time effectively, so they will prevent procrastination behavior in carrying out tasks or procrastination in completing tasks. This research aimed to determine whether achievement goal orientation influences procrastination in undergraduate nursing students. This research used a quantitative approach with simple linear regression model data analysis techniques. A total of 143 undergraduate nursing students participated in this study. The category of achievement goal orientation was identified: low 30 (21%), medium 87 (60.8%), and high category 26 (18,2%). Meanwhile, the results of the procrastination category were: low 15 (10,5%), medium 101 (70.6%), and high 27 (18,9%). The coefficient of determination test showed that the influence of achievement goal orientation on procrastination was 0,367. The hypothesis test result of the significance score is 0.000, which means the score is sig. 0.000 ˂ 0.05, so it can be stated that there is a significant influence between achievement goal orientation and procrastination in nursing students. This result of the beta coefficient was -1.283which means a negative direction where if achievement goal orientation increases by 1 point, then procrastination will decrease by 1.283 points. This study showed there is an influence of achievement goal orientation on procrastination in nursing students, where the achievement goal orientation variable is higher, then the value of the procrastination variable will be lower. Achievement goal orientation only influences 36.7% of procrastination; other factors such as self-management, self-efficacy, and environmental conditions, also play an important role. Therefore, efforts to overcome procrastination should focus on strengthening students' personal motivation and goals.

Abstract

Nutritional status describes the balance between the body's need for nutrients to maintain life, growth, development, maintenance of normal body functions and for energy production and other nutrient intake. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between family socio-economic status and the nutritional status of school-age children at SD Negeri 14 Nan Sabaris. This study used a descriptive analytical research type with a research design using a Cross Sectional approach. The population in this study was The population in this study were students of SD Negeri 14 Nan Sabaris District, Padang Pariaman Regency. Samples were taken using the simple random sampling method, or a simple random design. The sample in this study was 61 respondents. The univariate analysis results are displayed in the form of a frequency distribution of economic and nutritional status. Bivariate analysis using chi square at α = 0.05%. The results of the study obtained a high socio-economic status category of 18 people (29.5%), moderate there were 9 people (14.8%) and low as many as 34 people (55.7%). While the nutritional status of school children in the normal category was 30 people (49.2%) and thin as many as 31 people (50.8%). In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between socioeconomic status and nutritional status of school children at SDN 14, Nan Sabaris District.

Abstract

Psychosocial development in school-age children is the change and stability of emotions and social relationships that can influence cognitive and physical functioning. Factors that affect the psychosocial development of school-age children are nutrition, genetics, economics, and the environment. One of these environmental factors is playing online games with friends. This research aimed to determine the relationship between online gaming addiction and the psychosocial development of school children in State elementary school 21 Jalan Kereta Api. This type of quantitative research used a descriptive-analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The research was conducted from 15 July to 19 July 2024 at State elementary school 21 Jalan Kereta Api. The research sample was determined to be 43 people. Sampling was done using convenience sampling. Statistical tests were conducted using univariate analysis and bivariate analysis using Chi-Square. The research results showed that half of the respondents, namely 24 (55.8%), were addicted to playing online games and the psychosocial development of school-age children was in the good category, namely 17 (39.5%). The results of this research showed that there was a relationship between addiction to online games and psychosocial development of school children with p-value = 0.012 (p-value < α 0.05) at State elementary school 21 Jalan Kereta Api in 2024. Conclusion, The less students are addicted to playing online games, the better the psychosocial development of these students. Suggestion, This research is expected to serve as a guide for teachers to recognize the signs or negative effects of online game addiction on students' psychosocial development, and for teachers to help reduce online game addiction so that they can overcome students' psychosocial development.
