Abstract

Adolescence is a transition period from childhood to adulthood, experiencing physical, hormonal and sexual changes. One of the changes that occurs is menstruation. Menstruation or menstruation is a physiological change that occurs in accordance with a woman's body cycle and is influenced by reproductive hormones. Menstruation can cause discomfort, one of which is dysmenorrhea. Dysmenorrhea refers to pain, soreness and cramps felt in the lower abdomen to the back which can interfere with daily activities. The incidence of dysmenorrhoea in Indonesia reached 54.98%. Dysmenorrhea pain can be treated, one way, with non-pharmacological measures, namely endorphine massage. This massage functions to stimulate the body to release endorphin compounds which are pain relievers and can create a feeling of comfort. The aim of this mentoring service is to reduce dysmenorrhoea pain in students. Demonstration and intervention methods, the target of this activity is all 10 students of the Tahirah Al Baeti Bulukumba Midwifery Academy who experience dysmenorrhoea. Results: there was a reduction in dysmenorrhea pain in students at the Tahirah Al Baeti Bulukumba Midwifery Academy after endorphine massage, so it can be concluded that assisting teenagers with endorphine massage can be used as an effort to reduce dysmenorrhoea pain.

Abstract

Chronic energy deficiency (CED) occurs in people who suffer from protein and energy deficiencies during pregnancy. Based on data from the World Health Organization, it is currently estimated that there are 32 million pregnant women worldwide experiencing nutritional problems, meanwhile, the prevalence of CED pregnant women in Indonesia is currently quite high. The impact of Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) on mothers causes the risk of complications such as anemia, bleeding, complications of childbirth, and fatigue, various factors that can cause CED problems in pregnant women include the lack of knowledge of pregnant women about CED. Due to the lack of knowledge about the nutrition of pregnant women, it can result in a lack of nutritious food during pregnancy. This problem is the background for community service activities regarding counseling on chronic energy and nutritional deficiencies in pregnant women with the aim of this mentoring service to increase mothers' knowledge about chronic energy and nutritional deficiencies in pregnant women. The method with communicative information techniques and using 3 approaches, namely observation, counseling and evaluation, the target in this activity is 17 pregnant women. The results showed that before being given counseling, only 4 people (24%) had good knowledge, after being given counseling, the category of good knowledge increased to 13 people (81%). So it can be concluded that there was an increase in the knowledge of pregnant women about KEK before and after being given counseling.

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding is very beneficial for reducing child mortality rates and improving maternal health in accordance with one of the goals of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which ensures that children consume exclusive breast milk, but the achievement of Exclusive Breastfeeding in South Sulawesi Province in 2023 is 74.0%. This figure has not reached the national target in 2023, which is 75%. There are 12 districts/cities that have not reached the target, including Bulukumba Regency with an achievement of 60%. The success rate of exclusive breastfeeding can be successful with the support of husbands to breastfeeding mothers to breastfeed their babies because Exclusive Breastfeeding has very broad benefits, not only for babies, but also for mothers, families, and even the country. This study aims to The Relationship Between Husband Support and Exclusive Breastfeeding in Breastfeeding Mothers in Bulukumba Regency. The method used in this study is quantitative research with a total sample of 13 people selected using the total sampling technique. The results of the study showed that most of the husband's support did not support by not providing exclusive breastfeeding as many as 5 people (38.5%), and most of the husband's group supported by providing exclusive breastfeeding as many as 5 people (38.5%). And there were 3 respondents (23.0) who received support from their husbands but did not provide exclusive breastfeeding. Using the chi-square statistical test, a P-value of 0.04 <0.005 was obtained. Thus, there is a significant relationship between the relationship between husband's support and the provision of exclusive breastfeeding in breastfeeding mothers.
