Abstract

Kurangnya keberhasilan program ketahanan pangan di tingkat lokal yang disebabkan lemahnya soliditas dan dinamika kelompok, termasuk kelompok wanita tani (KWT) yang menjadi ujung tombak dalam implementasi program 3K (kandang, kolam, dan kebun). Dinamika kelompok yang rendah dapat memengaruhi efektivitas pelaksanaan program, terutama dalam hal koordinasi, peran, serta pelaksanaan fungsi dan tugas kelompok. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh dinamika kelompok wanita tani terhadap keberhasilan program ketahanan pangan 3K di Kalurahan Kemejing. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis regresi linear berganda, melibatkan 82 responden dari total 457 anggota KWT yang dipilih melalui rumus Slovin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari enam variabel dinamika kelompok yang diuji, hanya variabel fungsi dan tugas kelompok yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keberhasilan program (nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05). Sementara itu, variabel lain seperti tujuan kelompok, struktur kelompok, pembinaan dan pengembangan kelompok, keefektifan kelompok, serta kekompakan kelompok tidak berpengaruh signifikan secara parsial. Nilai koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 53,3% menunjukkan bahwa lebih dari separuh variasi keberhasilan program dipengaruhi oleh dinamika kelompok, khususnya pada aspek fungsi dan tugas kelompok. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya penguatan kapasitas internal kelompok, terutama dalam menjalankan fungsi dan tugas secara aktif dan konsisten untuk mendukung keberhasilan program ketahanan pangan lokal

Abstract

The decline in chili productivity due to extreme weather anomalies in Merdikorejo Village underlies the importance of strengthening farmer capacity after the Climate Change Impact Technical Guidance through the integration of precision agriculture technology to ensure the economic sustainability of the horticultural sector. This study aims to examine the adoption process of precision agriculture technology innovations among farmers in Merdikorejo Village, Tempel Sub-district, Sleman Regency. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this research is in the form of a case study. Data collection involved interviews with 6 (six) informants representing a combination of farmer groups, observations, and Focus Group Discussions (FGD), with triangulation techniques. The results of the study indicate that the adoption of precision agriculture technology in Merdikorejo is not simply a transfer of technical equipment, but rather a complex mental and managerial transformation through five stages of innovation diffusion. At the knowledge and persuasion stage, exposure to formal information (DPI Technical Guidance) and informal information (experiential learning) successfully triggered farmer self-efficacy to carry out off-season cultivation with a projected profit margin of 61.72%. The decision-making and implementation phases in the field triggered an agreement to accelerate the planting of the RM 21 chili variety by a core group that integrates modern technology with local wisdom (Pranata Mangsa). Furthermore, in the confirmation phase, the successful technical testing of the closed-loop system on sloping land alleviated farmers' technological anxiety. Judging by their behavioral patterns, the adoption process moved through two main pathways: a structured institutional pathway that shapes the characteristics of the early majority and a self-help pathway based on field experience that shapes the characteristics of farmer innovators. These two groups converged in a horizontal social interaction space (peer-to-peer learning) with intensive mentoring from extension workers as change agents. This synergy not only encouraged reinvention (technical modification) of components but also increased farmers' managerial capacity toward climate-smart (less-labor) agriculture. At the macro scale, the sustainability of this innovation was firmly integrated with the strengthening of auction market institutions (gathering points) that ensured commodity price stability and farmer economic sustainability.

Abstract

The horticulture sector has significant economic potential; however, farmers continue to face several constraints in improving competitiveness, particularly farm fragmentation, weak bargaining power, limited access to market information, and the absence of product quality standardization. This study aims to analyze the initiation process of collective marketing for horticultural products, identify internal and external factors affecting its development, and formulate strategic priorities to enhance farmers’ competitiveness. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The informants consisted of four horticultural farmers as key informants and two additional informants, namely an agricultural extension officer and a collection point manager. Data were analyzed using IFAS and EFAS matrices, SWOT analysis, and the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). The results indicate that the initiation of collective marketing in Patuk District remains at the stage of awareness building and informal coordination through WhatsApp. Social capital in the form of trust, solidarity, and information openness has been established, but it has not yet been supported by adequate institutional structure, administration, quality standardization, and production continuity. The IFAS and EFAS results positioned the strategy in Quadrant III, with an X value of -0.89 and a Y value of 1.15, indicating that the recommended strategy is the WO strategy. Based on QSPM analysis, the strategic priorities are the formulation and implementation of cultivation standard operating procedures, digitalization of group administration and financial records, strengthening institutional governance through collaboration with BPP Patuk, and optimizing WhatsApp-based coordination. These strategies are expected to strengthen farmer institutions and sustainably improve the competitiveness of horticultural products.
