Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify the challenges faced in the implementation of missions in Indonesia and the appropriate strategies used in the implementation of missions. The method used is descriptive qualitative with reference sources from books and the latest studies on missions through journals. The results showed that the implementation of missions in Indonesia experienced many challenges such as a very strong cultural problem in the lives of recipients, very diverse language problems and responses from adherents of other religions who had negative views on the implementation of Christian missions. In order to keep the mission going, it needs the right strategy and continue to take advantage of every opportunity available and maximize the available facilities. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi tantangan-tantangan yang dihadapi dalam rangka pelaksanaan misi di Indonesia dan strategi yang tepat digunakan dalam pelaksanaan misi. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan sumber referensi dari buku-buku dan kajian terbaru tentang misi melalui jurnal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan misi di Indonesia memiliki banyak tantangan seperti persoalan budaya yang sangat kuat dalam kehidupan penerima, persoalan bahasa yang sangat beragam dan respon dari pemeluk agama lain yang memiliki pandangan negatif terhadap pelaksanaan misi Kristen. Agar misi tetap berjalan maka dibutuhkan strategi yang tepat dan terus memanfaatkan setiap peluang yang ada dan memaksimalkan fasilitas yang tersedia.

Abstract

Tolerance is described as a concept of cultural phenomena that are integrated through religious life. Conflict as an internal problem while the challenges of the times (globalization) are goals that must be answered through a spirit of tolerance. The concept that will be analyzed is based on folklore tallu to sala 'dadi in Toraja. This study intends to examine the structure of the tallu to sala 'dadi story, and the tolerance value contained in the story. The theory used in this study is the semiotic social theory. While the method used is a qualitative method of content analysis and hermeneutic methods. As a result, data was obtained that the story was of a novel type, which revealed the struggles of human life in living everyday life. The values of tolerance contained include the value of acceptability and understanding that are paired with togetherness and complementarity. Based on these findings, it can be defined that tolerance is the attitude of accepting and understanding shortcomings and differences through togetherness and complementarity.AbstrakToleransi dideskripsikan sebagai konsep fenomena budaya yang terintegriasi melalui kehidupan beragama. Konflik sebagai masalah internal sedangkan tantangan jaman (globalisasi) merupakan tujuan yang harus dijawab melalui semangat toleransi. Konsep itulah yang akan dianalisa berdasarkan cerita rakyat tallu to sala’ dadi di Toraja. Penelitian ini bermaksud mengkaji struktur ceritera tallu to sala’ dadi, dan nilai toleransi yang terkandung dalam ceritera tersebut. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah teori semiotik sosial. Sedangkan metode yang digunakan ialah metode kualitatif analisis kontent serta metode hermeneutik. Hasilnya, diperoleh data bahwa cerita tersebut berjenis novel, yang mengungkapkan pergumulan hidup manusia dalam menjalani hidup sehari-hari. Adapun nilai-nilai toleransi yang terkandung meliputi nilai keberterimaan dan kesepahaman yang dipadankan dengan kebersamaan  dan saling melengkapi. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut dapat di definisikan bahwa toleransi adalah sikap menerima dan memahami kekurangan dan perbedaan melalui kebersamaan  dan sikap saling melengkapi.

Abstract

This article explores the theological dimension of Christian edu-cation through an analysis of the personification of Ḥokmah (Wisdom) in the Book of Proverbs, particularly Proverbs 1-9. Employing a hermeneutical-theological approach, this study investigates how the Israelite sapien-tial tradition understood Wisdom not merely as a divine attribute, but as a persona actively involved in creation and human formation. An intertex-tual reading of Proverbs 8:22-31 alongside Colossians 1:15-17, John 1:1-3, and 1 Corinthians 1:24 demonstrates that the Old Testament personifi-cation of Wisdom exhibits christological continuity in the New Testament, in which Christ is identified as the Wisdom of God. Furthermore, this article argues that a Trinitarian understanding of Wisdom—as the activity of the Father through the Son in the Spirit—provides an ontological and teleological foundation for children's character formation. The concepts of mûsār (discipline) and yir'at YHWH (fear of the LORD) in Proverbs are understood not merely as pedagogical techniques, but as participation in the Trinitarian relation in which divine Wisdom forms humanity toward ḥayyîm (life). The practical implications of this study include a reorienta-tion of Christian educational philosophy from a knowledge-transmission paradigm to a relational-formation paradigm rooted in communion with the Triune God.   Abstrak Artikel ini mengeksplorasi dimensi teologis pendidikan Kristiani melalui analisis terhadap personifikasi hokmah (Hikmat) dalam Kitab Amsal, khususnya Amsal 1-9. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan hermeneutis-teologis, penelitian ini menyelidiki bagaimana tradisi sapiensial Israel memahami Hikmat bukan sekadar sebagai atribut ilahi, melainkan sebagai persona yang aktif dalam penciptaan dan formasi manusia. Pembacaan intertekstual terhadap Amsal 8:22-31 bersama dengan Kolose 1:15-17; Yohanes 1:1-3; dan 1 Korintus 1:24, menunjukkan bahwa personifikasi Hikmat dalam Perjanjian Lama memiliki kontinuitas kristologis dalam Perjanjian Baru, di mana Kristus diidentifikasi sebagai Hikmat Allah. Lebih jauh, artikel ini berargumen bahwa pemahaman Trinitaris tentang Hikmat—sebagai aktivitas Bapa melalui Anak dalam Roh—menyediakan fondasi ontologis dan teleologis bagi pendidikan karakter anak. Konsep mûsār (disiplin) dan yir'at YHWH (takut akan TUHAN) dalam Amsal tidak dipahami sebagai teknik pedagogis semata, melainkan sebagai partisipasi dalam relasi Trinitaris di mana Hikmat Ilahi membentuk manusia menuju ḥayyîm (kehidupan). Implikasi praktis dari kajian ini mencakup reorientasi filosofi pendidikan Kristiani dari paradigma transmisi pengetahuan ke paradigma formasi relasional yang berakar pada communion dengan Allah Tritunggal.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out whether there is a relationship between social media and the growth of teenagers' faith. To achieve the results of this research, quantitative methods were used by collecting data through filling out questionnaires and testing the data using SPSS. Meanwhile, the data source came from 45 respondents from teenagers in the GBI Rehobot-Wekiar congregation. Social media is a tool or intermediary used to interact and communicate between someone and other people who provide many contributions or benefits. The growth of faith is a person's spiritual maturity which continues to grow towards perfection in Jesus Christ, has a different life from people who do not believe and becomes stronger in their faith in Jesus Christ. The research results illustrate that there is a significant relationship between variable X (Social Media) and variable Y (Faith Growth) of 0.001 < 0.05.
