Abstract

This study explores the impact of digital information systems on the quality of technology-based services through a qualitative literature review. Utilizing a library research approach, the study systematically analyzes scholarly publications to identify key mechanisms through which digital information systems influence service outcomes. The findings reveal that these systems enhance service efficiency by streamlining processes and reducing manual tasks, improve information accessibility and transparency for users, ensure system reliability and consistency, and strengthen user experience through intuitive and responsive platforms. Organizational capability and employee digital competence are found to be critical factors in realizing the full potential of digital systems, while digital service innovation enables organizations to develop flexible, personalized, and data-driven service models. The synthesis of these findings highlights that digital information systems act as central enablers of service quality, interacting with organizational structures, technological infrastructure, and human competencies to improve operational performance and user satisfaction. The study provides a comprehensive framework for understanding the multi-dimensional effects of digital information systems on technology-based service quality, offering insights for both academics and practitioners seeking to optimize digital service delivery in modern organizations.

Abstract

— The advancement of digital technology has encouraged the emergence of mobile-based innovations, including vehicle rental services. However, many existing applications still fail to prioritize user convenience, resulting in unintuitive interfaces, unclear information, and inefficient navigation flows. This study aims to design and develop the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) of the Viclerent mobile application, an online vehicle rental platform that emphasizes usability, accessibility, and user comfort. The design process adopts the Design Thinking approach, which consists of five stages: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires distributed to potential users to identify their needs, problems, and preferences in using digital vehicle rental services. The findings were analyzed to produce design artifacts such as User Personas, Empathy Maps, Affinity Diagrams, pain points, and solution ideas. These artifacts guided the creation of Wireframes and Prototypes using design tools, ensuring that the application design was structured, intuitive, and responsive. The Prototype was then tested with users to evaluate usability, satisfaction, and effectiveness in supporting the rental process. Results indicate that the proposed design improves transparency of rental costs, simplifies booking procedures, and enhances trust through features such as real-time vehicle availability, flexible payment methods, and reliable review systems. Overall, the Viclerent UI/UX design demonstrates the potential to deliver a user-friendly, efficient, and innovative digital solution, thereby improving accessibility, convenience, and satisfaction in mobile-based vehicle rental services.

Abstract

PT. SAS Aero Sishan faces challenges in monitoring production data and managing credit sales information efficiently, resulting in delayed decision-making processes. This study aims to design an aerospace product credit sales application using the Human-Centered Design (HCD) approach and evaluate its usability using the System Usability Scale (SUS). The research was conducted through four HCD stages: requirement gathering, analysis, prototype development, and evaluation. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and usability testing involving 30 respondents. The usability evaluation produced an average SUS score of 72.42, with descriptive statistics indicating a median score of 70, a minimum score of 50, a maximum score of 100, and a standard deviation of 13.14. The obtained SUS score falls into Grade B (Good), indicating that the proposed application provides acceptable usability and effectively supports users in managing credit sales activities. The findings demonstrate that applying the Human-Centered Design approach successfully accommodates user requirements and improves user satisfaction. This study contributes a user-centered framework for developing credit sales information systems in the aerospace industry and provides a practical reference for future usability-oriented system development.

Abstract

Transformasi digital pada pendidikan tinggi menuntut tata kelola sistem akademik yang terstandar dan terukur, namun banyak institusi menhadapi tantangan dalam dokumentasi formal dan standarisasi proses teknologi informasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengaudit Sistem Informasi Akademik (SIAKAD) Universitas Kebangsaan Republik Indonesia (UKRI) menggunakan framework COBIT 2019 guna mengidentifikasi kesenjangan kapabilitas dan strategi perbaikan terstruktur. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode triangulasi, seperti observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner, yang melibatkan 23 responden, diantaranya 4 internal stakeholder dan 19 mahasiswa. Berfokus pada enam subdomain, yaitu APO02, APO05, APO12, DSS04, MEA01, dan MEA03. Penilaian capability level menunjukkan seluruh subdomain berada pada level 1 – performed process dengan nilai rata-rata berkisar 3,4-4,0 dalam skala Likert (1-5), yang setelah triangulasi data mengonfirmasi proses telah berjalan namun belum terdokumentasi formal. Analisis gap menunjukkan kesenjangan 3 level antara kondisi aktual (level 1) dan target (level 4 – predictable process). Penelitian menghasilkan rekomendasi perbaikan komprehensif yang meliputi penyusunan dokumentasi formal, pembentukan sistem pengelolaan terstruktur, dan implementasi pengukuran kinerja berbasis data. Roadmap pengembangan lima tahun (2026-2030) dirancang melalui lima fase, yaitu Assessment dan Awareness, Dokumentasi dan Integrasi, Implementasi dan Uji Proses, Penetapan dan Integrasi Audit, serta Standarisasi dan Prediktabilitas. System blueprint memetakan transformasi dari kondisi as-is menuju kondisi to-be dengan strategi perbaikan spesifik untuk setiap subdomain. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi praktis berupa panduan terstruktur untuk meningkatkan kapabilitas SIAKAD UKRI dari level 1 ke level 4 dalam periode lima tahun, sekaligus menyediakan instrumen audit yang dapat direplikasi oleh institusi pendidikan tinggi lain untuk mewujudkan tata kelola sistem informasi akademik yang berkelanjutan dan terukur.

Abstract

In today’s digital era, information technology has become an integral part of education, with Learning Management System (LMS) serving as a key innovation supporting online teaching and learning processes. The Army Staff and Command School (Seskoad) uses LMS to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of its educational programs. However, no audit of the LMS information system has been conducted at Seskoad, potentially exposing the system to operational and security risks, such as non-compliance with regulations and vulnerability to cyber attacks. This study aims to audit the LMS using the COBIT 5 framework to evaluate the Maturity Level of IT governance and information system management. The methodology includes observation, interviews, questionnaires, and triangulation of data. The audit results indicate that the LMS Maturity Level is at Level 2 (Managed) across all seven evaluated sub-domains (APO9, DSS01, DSS04, DSS05, DSS06, MEA01, MEA02), with deficiencies in documentation, risk management, and security governance. Recommended improvements include developing SOPs, conducting user training, and performing regular security audits. With systematic implementation over five years, it is expected that Seskoad’s LMS can reach Level 4 (Quantitatively Managed), enhancing effectiveness and efficiency of education and training in the military environment.
