Abstract

This Community Service Activity with the theme "Da'wah Cares for the Environment" aims to increase public awareness of the importance of protecting the environment through a religious approach. The methods include outreach through social media and leaflets, da'wah through lectures, studies and thematic discussions in mosques, prayer rooms and religious associations, as well as real action in the form of greening in public areas.The results show an increase in enthusiasm and public understanding regarding the importance of protecting the environment. The community actively participates in reforestation activities, even forming self-help plant care groups. Supporting factors for the success of are collaboration with religious and community leaders, effective use of media, and preaching material that is easy to understand. Inhibiting factors include limited resources and regional coverage. However, this program has had a significant positive impact on Sambirejo Village, creating a greener environment, increasing public awareness, and fostering a sense of ownership of the environment. It is hoped that this activity can become a model for other regions in religious-based environmental conservation efforts.

Abstract

This research investigates the impact of transformational leadership and organizational culture on police performance at the Aceh Tamiang Police Department. It examines whether job satisfaction mediates this relationship. The research utilizes an associative approach and involves all Aceh Tamiang Police personnel as the population. A stratified random sample of 96 personnel was selected for the study. Transformational leadership variable and organizational culture variable serve as independent variables, while police performance variable is the dependent variable. Job satisfaction acts as an intervening variable. Data analysis employs descriptive analysis and Structural Equation Modelling, with a Partial Least Squares approach. The findings demonstrate a positive effect of transformational leadership and organizational culture on police performance. This effect operates both directly and indirectly through increased job satisfaction among police officers. It means that a transformational leadership style and positive organizational culture can increase members' job satisfaction, ultimately impacting their performance. In other words, to improve the performance of police officers, efforts need to be made to increase the transformational leadership of leaders and strengthen a positive organizational culture.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kedisiplinan belajar dengan efektivitas komunikasi siswa kelas XI di SMA Negeri 1 Binjai. Latar belakang dari penelitian ini adalah kenyataan bahwa kedisiplinan belajar merupakan salah satu faktor penting dalam membentuk kemampuan komunikasi yang efektif, baik dalam konteks akademik maupun sosial. Dalam lingkungan sekolah, komunikasi yang efektif menjadi kunci dalam membangun interaksi positif antara siswa dengan guru, maupun antarsesama siswa. Namun demikian, efektivitas komunikasi tidak selalu hadir secara alami, melainkan sering kali dipengaruhi oleh perilaku belajar siswa, salah satunya adalah kedisiplinan belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Binjai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Tingkat kedisiplinan belajar siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Binjai secara umum tergolong tinggi, dengan rata-rata skor 3,73 dari skala 1–4. Kedisiplinan ini mencakup aspek ketepatan waktu, konsistensi dalam belajar, dan ketaatan terhadap aturan. Namun, ditemukan pula bahwa beberapa siswa masih menghadapi tantangan dalam menjaga jadwal belajar secara mandiri, 2) Tingkat efektivitas komunikasi siswa juga termasuk tinggi, dengan nilai rata-rata 3,61. Siswa cenderung lebih unggul dalam aspek reseptif seperti mendengarkan dan memahami pesan, dibandingkan dengan aspek ekspresif seperti menyampaikan ide secara logis dan sistematis. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya potensi besar untuk pengembangan keterampilan komunikasi aktif; 3) Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dan kuat antara kedisiplinan belajar dan efektivitas komunikasi siswa, sebagaimana ditunjukkan oleh nilai koefisien korelasi Pearson sebesar 0,733. Ini berarti semakin tinggi tingkat kedisiplinan belajar siswa, maka semakin tinggi pula efektivitas komunikasi mereka. Korelasi ini mengindikasikan keterkaitan yang erat antara pembentukan perilaku belajar yang konsisten dengan kemampuan siswa dalam berinteraksi secara efektif.. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan kepada pihak sekolah, guru, dan orang tua untuk lebih mendorong dan memfasilitasi perilaku belajar disiplin pada siswa, sebagai salah satu strategi dalam meningkatkan kualitas komunikasi mereka, baik dalam kegiatan pembelajaran maupun kehidupan sosial di sekolah.

Abstract

This study analyzes the role of app-based depression screening, such as Halodoc as a solution for early detection and intervention in college students. Depression in college students often escapes identification. This can negatively impact their academic performance and quality of life. Through a descriptive literature study, this paper demonstrates that students need mental health services that are easily accessible, maintain privacy, and involve professionals. Mental health apps meet this need by providing brainstorming consultation features, depression testing (using the PHQ-9), and educational articles. Early screening allows for rapid and appropriate intervention, preventing the condition from worsening and continuing into adulthood. Despite challenges such as stigma and privacy issues, these services offer great opportunities to responsibly improve students’ mental well-being.

Abstract

Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) can serve as an effective platform to explore members’ understanding of the code of ethics, identify challenges, and formulate reinforcement strategies aligned with religious values. This community service activity was carried out in April 2025 at the Headquarters of the Medan City Police, aiming to strengthen the Code of Ethics of the Indonesian National Police (POLRI) among its members. By utilizing FGDs focused on religious character, this initiative addressed the potential erosion of ethical compliance due to work pressure and complex environments. Religious values were regarded as a strong moral foundation. The program included problem identification, planning, participatory FGD sessions with religious-based materials and case studies, and impact evaluation. The results showed improved understanding of the code of ethics and the relevance of religious character, evidenced by enhanced ethical dilemma analysis, increased commitment to religious values, and more proactive problem-solving. Active participation and positive feedback confirmed the members’ readiness for self-reflection and heightened motivation to implement the code of ethics and religious values.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to enhance the managerial capacity of school principals under the auspices of Al Washliyah through strategic workshops conducted within the School Leaders Forum. The program employed a Service Learning approach that integrated academic knowledge with practical engagement to address real managerial challenges faced by school leaders in the era of educational reform and Society 5.0. The preparation stage involved a needs assessment, literature review, and SWOT analysis to ensure that the intervention was contextually relevant and responsive to institutional conditions. Based on this analysis, a competency-based workshop curriculum was developed, focusing on conceptual, technical, and interpersonal managerial skills. The program was implemented through a series of strategic workshop sessions covering educational strategic planning, alignment with the National Education Standards, digital leadership, teacher performance management, and stakeholder collaboration. The results indicate that the program contributed to improved strategic thinking, increased digital awareness, and strengthened supervisory and motivational competencies among participating principals. Furthermore, the School Leaders Forum functioned as an effective professional learning community that facilitated peer collaboration and reflective leadership practices. Overall, the program demonstrates that structured capacity-building initiatives conducted through professional forums can support the transformation of school principals into instructional and transformational leaders, thereby fostering sustainable improvements in school quality and organizational competitiveness.
