Abstract

Indonesia's national economy is experiencing stagnant growth in income inequality (Gini ratio) and the number of poor people continues to increase, even though the national GDP growth indicators have been improving for several years. Regional economic growth in South Sumatra also increased based on the GRDP indicator, but the inequality in income distribution increased slightly and the inflation rate in South Sumatra fluctuated greatly in 2007-2017. Furthermore, the farmer's exchange rate, export value, human development index, and interest rate movements in South Sumatra in 2017 decreased compared to 2007, although overall infrastructure development continues to increase every year. This study analyzes income inequality and its implications for poverty in South Sumatra Province. Factors affecting income inequality are limited to farmers' exchange rates, exports, and infrastructure. The research population is all secondary data related to the research object in South Sumatra Province for the period 2007 - 2017. Based on the Multiple Linear Regression analysis using the OLS (Ordinary Least Square) method, the results show that the exchange rate of farmers' rupiah, exports, and infrastructure simultaneously affects income inequality. Then partially the exchange rate of farmers, exports, and infrastructure have a significant effect on income inequality. The novelty of the research lies in the object of research, where there are differences in the phenomena of economic growth and poverty rates between the National and the Province of South Sumatra.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the impact of the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP), formal and informal sector human resource absorption on the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) and its implications for poverty levels in DKI Jakarta Province. Low education and income levels contribute to poverty by affecting the quality of human resources. The study uses Classical Assumption Tests, Heteroscedasticity Tests, and multiple regression analyses. Results indicate that the UMP significantly and positively affects poverty levels. The significance value for the informal sector's human resource absorption (X2) is 0.0016, confirming its significant positive correlation with the TPT. Similarly, the TPT has a positive and significant influence on poverty, with a significance value of 0.006. The regression analysis shows that UMP and human resource absorption from both formal and informal sectors together have a significant positive effect on the TPT, with a p-value of 0.000. Thus, the UMP, formal, and informal sector human resources significantly influence open unemployment, which in turn affects poverty levels in DKI Jakarta Province. These findings highlight the interconnectedness of wage policies, employment sectors, and poverty, underscoring the need for comprehensive strategies to address unemployment and improve human resource quality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of Income Tax Article 21 (PPh Article 21) calculation using the Average Effective Rate (TER) as regulated under Government Regulation Number 58 of 2023, implemented within the corporate environment of PT XYZ. The research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive analysis techniques. Data were collected through literature studies and documentation related to recent tax policies, as well as internal company data concerning the calculation of Article 21 Income Tax. The focus of this research lies in the transition from a progressive tax system to a more simplified, transparent, and practical average effective rate method. The results show that the implementation of the average effective rate simplifies the tax administration process at the company level. Moreover, this approach reduces the potential for errors in calculating and reporting employee income tax, both for permanent and non-permanent employees. The study also found that the implementation of Government Regulation Number 58 of 2023 impacts corporate financial planning, particularly in terms of budgeting for salaries and allowances. This research contributes to practical insights regarding the direct implementation of new tax regulations in the business sector and their implications for compliance and tax efficiency.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how to implement the demonstration method in teaching fiqh on wudhu, and to analyze the extent to which the application of this method can help improve the learning achievement of seventh grade students at MTs Al-Ma'arif Mujur Praya Timur. This study used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research informants included the principal, fiqh teachers, and seventh grade students at MTs Al-Ma'arif Mujur Praya Timur. The results showed that the demonstration method was implemented by the teacher demonstrating the procedure for wudhu directly in front of the students, then asking the students to imitate it in turns while being guided and corrected if there were any mistakes. This process enables students to not only understand the theory but also be able to practice wudu correctly. The application of the demonstration method has been proven to help improve student learning achievement, both in cognitive aspects (knowledge of the pillars and requirements of wudu), affective aspects (interest, motivation, and positive attitudes in learning), and psychomotor aspects (skills in practicing wudu in accordance with Islamic law). Therefore, it can be concluded that the demonstration method is an effective learning strategy in improving students' understanding and skills in fiqh learning.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of communication in Islamic education, focusing on Baitul Qur’an Binjai. The main problem arose from poor communication between the principal and former teachers, which created conflict, decreased student motivation, and reduced parental trust. The research applied a descriptive qualitative approach using observation, interviews, and documentation. Findings revealed that after the teacher replacement, internal communication became more harmonious, principals and teachers supported each other, and students developed closer interactions with educators. The learning environment grew more conducive, innovations emerged, and parents’ trust significantly improved. These results highlight that Islamic communication—open, dialogical, and based on Qur’anic values—plays a strategic role in fostering harmony, enhancing learning quality, and strengthening the school’s image as a progressive Islamic educational institution.
