Abstract

Social science is a field that explores social behavior and activities in human life. The learning approach for students in social science has many types of approaches, therefore this article will describe the types of learning approaches for students in social science. This research uses descriptive qualitative, the research source is a literature review obtained from articles, journals, books, research reports, cofference proceedings, theses and so on. In this article, it is explained about 4 approaches that are carried out in social studies learning, namely Thematic, Scientific, Interdisciplinary, and Constructivist Approaches which are explained in detail in the content of the article. Overall, the application of various innovative approaches to social studies learning is important to create a more interesting, relevant and interactive learning experience. By using the right methods, social studies not only improves the quality of education, but also prepares young people with 21st century skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, communication and creativity. This is very relevant in facing challenges in the era of globalization.

Abstract

Mosques have an important role in the lives of Muslims, not only as places of worship, but also as centers of social, cultural, and educational activities. This research reveals the history of the establishment of the Taqwa Mosque in Seri Tanjung Village, Tanjung Batu District, Ogan Ilir Regency, as well as the important role of Manda Haji Bun Yamin as a local figure in the process of building the mosque. Using historical and sociological approaches, this study shows that the mosque not only reflects the spiritual development of the community, but also symbolizes unity and independence in building religious facilities independently. The results found that Manda Haji Bun Yamin had a strong religious and social vision, reflected in his initiative to build a permanent two-story mosque that would later become the center of community activities. The Taqwa Mosque is not only a place of worship, but also plays a role in religious education, distribution of social assistance, preservation of traditions, and strengthening the value of tolerance between religious communities. This research emphasizes the importance of exploring and documenting local history as part of the cultural heritage and identity of the local Muslim community.

Abstract

Pendidikan dapat diartikan sebagai usaha sadar untuk meningkatkan perilaku individu dan kelompok, penting untuk mengembangkan kualitas dan karakter dalam masyarakat. Di Indonesia, sistem pendidikan menghadapi tantangan dalam mendidik warga negara yang cerdas dalam ranah spiritual, sosial, dan intelektual. Faktor-faktor negatif seperti ketidakjujuran dan kesusilaan menghalangi terwujudnya nilai-nilai Islam yang mempromosikan perdamaian, toleransi, dan demokrasi. Selain itu, perlu ditingkatkan kesadaran beragama sejak usia dini, yang dapat dibina melalui pendidikan Islam. Jenis pendidikan ini memainkan peran strategis dalam pembentukan karakter, dengan menekankan perilaku dan moral positif seperti kesabaran, kerendahan hati, dan pengendalian diri. Pentingnya pendidikan Islam ditegaskan dalam membina kerukunan masyarakat dan meningkatkan pemahaman ajaran agama. Secara keseluruhan, penanaman nilai Islam pada kaum muda sangat penting untuk membentuk pribadi yang tangguh, bermoral kuat, dan mampu memberikan sumbangsih yang positif kepada komunitas, serta menaati prinsip-prinsip moral dan etika.
