Abstract

Stunting merupakan masalah gizi kronis yang disebabkan oleh kurangnya asupan gizi dalam waktu yang cukup lama. Salah satu faktor yang menyebabkan stunting adalah kurangnya asupan gizi pada bayi maupun pada ibu balita. Salah satu upaya untuk penanganan dan mencegah stunting adalah dengan cara Pemberian Makanan Tambahan (PMT) dengan memanfaatkan tanaman yang tumbuh di sekitar. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan edukasi mengenai stunting dan pemberian makanan tambahan melalui olahan daun kelor seperti nugget. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah penyuluhan tentang pencegahan stunting dan pemanfaatan daun kelor sebagai olahan makanan yang berkhasiat. Hasil dari kegiatan tersebut dapat disimpulkan peserta mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan mengenai stunting dan pemberian makanan tambahan berbahan dasar daun kelor sebagai upaya pencegahan stunting.

Abstract

This classroom action research (CAR) aimed to enhance students' learning interest through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning(PBL) model combined with experimental methods on the topic of mixture separation methods in class VIII H of SMPN 2 Sumber. The research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through observation, learning interest questionnaires, and student interviews. The questionnaire results showed an increase in learning interest from 0.58% in the pre-action stage, to 0.70% in the first cycle, and further to 0.84% in the second cycle. This improvement was supported by observations and interviews indicating increased student engagement and understanding. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the application of the PBL model with experimental activities effectively enhances students’ interest in science learning.

Abstract

Learning interest is a crucial factor that determines student engagement in the learning process, especially in science subjects that involve abstract concepts such as heredity. This study aims to improve the learning interest of ninth-grade junior high school students through the application of the cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) integrated with the interactive media Baamboozle. This research is a Classroom Action Research conducted in two cycles. The subjects were 30 students from grade IX of SMP Negeri 2 Sumber. Data collection techniques included questionnaires, observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of the TGT model assisted by Baamboozle significantly increased students’ learning interest, as indicated by the increase in the average learning interest score from 64.43% (pre-cycle) to 86.43% (cycle II). These findings were supported by observation, documentation, and interview data that revealed improved student engagement, attention, and enthusiasm throughout the learning process. Therefore, the TGT model assisted by Baamboozle is effective in creating a fun, competitive, and collaborative learning environment in science education. This study contributes theoretically to the development of science learning models that integrate digital media with cooperative strategies, and practically offers an innovative instructional approach that aligns with the characteristics of 21st-century learners and supports student-centered learning in the context of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to improve science learning outcomes in the sub-material of chemical reactions and their dynamics by implementing Educaplay-based learning media. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), which was carried out in two cycles. Each cycle includes four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 31 ninth-grade students of class IX G at SMP Negeri 02 Sumber, Cirebon Regency, West Java Province. The selection of research subjects was based on observations and students' previous learning outcomes in science subjects. Through the two research cycles, a consistent improvement in learning outcomes was observed. The pre-test results showed 12.9%, which increased to 41.93% in the post-test of the first cycle, and further rose to 81% in the post-test of the second cycle. This means that students who scored ≥ 80 had met the learning outcome indicator of 80%. Thus, the difference in learning outcomes from the first to the second cycle was 39%, indicating a significant improvement in student performance. Based on the observation results in the first cycle, the teacher's activity score reached 70%, categorized as good, and increased to 92% in the second cycle, categorized as very good—an improvement of 22%. Meanwhile, student activity in the first cycle was 68%, categorized as fair, and increased to 90% in the second cycle, categorized as very good, also showing a 22% improvement.

Abstract

This research investigated the efficacy of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model in enhancing the learning outcomes of eighth-grade students (Class VIII E) at SMPN 2 Sumber in the subject of Natural Sciences (IPA), specifically focusing on the topic of chemical compounds. The study was motivated by observed low levels of student engagement and the prevalence of conventional instructional methods in teaching chemical compounds, a subject often perceived as abstract and challenging for a subset of learners. This situation potentially contributes to diminished overall achievement in Science. A Classroom Action Research (CAR) design, following the cyclical framework proposed by Kemmis and McTaggart, was employed. The research was conducted across two iterative cycles, each encompassing the phases of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The participant sample comprised 37 students. Data were collected through systematic observation, summative tests, and relevant documentation, subsequently subjected to descriptive quantitative analysis. The findings revealed a statistically significant improvement in student learning outcomes pertaining to chemical compounds following the implementation of the TGT learning model. In the pre-cycle phase, only 22% of students achieved scores exceeding the established Learning Objectives Achievement Criteria (KKTP), with a mean score of 53,91. Subsequent to the intervention, the first cycle demonstrated an increase to 68% of students achieving mastery, with a corresponding mean score of 74,59. A more substantial improvement was evident in the second cycle, where 89% of students attained mastery, and the mean score reached 86,05. These increments suggest that the TGT learning model is an effective pedagogical strategy for fostering enhanced comprehension and improved learning outcomes in the context of teaching chemical compounds. Consequently, the TGT learning model presents a viable and engaging alternative for Science instruction, with the potential to significantly elevate student academic achievement.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of Kahoot as a digital learning medium in enhancing students’ interest in science education. Conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Sumber in class IX F, the research utilized a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design implemented over two cycles, each comprising planning, implementation, observation, and reflection phases. The participants included 32 ninth-grade students. Data collection methods consisted of classroom observation, questionnaires, interviews, and document analysis. Quantitative descriptive analysis was performed using a Likert scale. The findings revealed a substantial increase in students' interest in learning, with scores rising from 53% in the pre-cycle (classified as low), to 68% in Cycle I (moderate), and reaching 83% in Cycle II (high). Improvements were observed across all dimensions of learning interest: enjoyment, curiosity, engagement, and attention. The integration of Kahoot fostered an interactive and enjoyable learning environment, which significantly motivated students to participate more actively in the classroom. These results suggest that Kahoot serves as an effective and innovative pedagogical tool for enhancing student engagement and improving the overall quality of science education at the secondary level.
