Abstract

This study aims to analyze the trends and directions of research on innovation in Islamic education using a bibliometric approach based on publications indexed in the Web of Science (WoS) from 2006 to mid-2025. The methods employed include citation analysis, collaborative network analysis, and keyword mapping using VOSviewer software. The results show a significant increase in the number of publications and citations since 2012, with a peak in 2018 and the highest citation surge occurring in 2024. Al-Jami'ah: Journal of Islamic Studies, the author Abdullah, and an article focusing on Islamic higher education in Indonesia emerged as the most influential. In addition, Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta was identified as the most cited institution. In terms of collaboration, strong national author networks were identified, although international collaboration remains limited. Keyword analysis revealed the dominance of the theme “Islamic education” and its connection to contemporary issues such as sustainability, environment, and 21st-century competencies. The study concludes that although innovation in Islamic education is gaining increasing global attention, there remains significant potential to strengthen cross-national and interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance the future impact and relevance of the field.

Abstract

Islamic moral education is a crucial aspect in shaping a society's character to be ethical and civilized. In Empai Tanong Village, Montasik District, Aceh Besar, the synergy between community leaders and formal educational institutions has proven to be effective in the formation of Islamic ethics. This study aims to explore the role of collaboration between formal and informal education, carried out by community leaders, in reinforcing Islamic moral values in the local community. The research uses a qualitative approach, with in-depth interviews with community leaders, educators, and local residents. The findings indicate that formal education and the teachings from community leaders complement each other, with religious education in schools providing the theory and concepts of Islamic ethics, while community leaders instill these values through example and religious activities. The family and social environment also play an important role in supporting the formation of Islamic ethics, although challenges from social media and external cultural influences remain obstacles. This study emphasizes the importance of synergy between educational institutions, community leaders, and families in creating a community with Islamic ethics in Empai Tanong Village.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital yang pesat mempengaruhi hampir semua aspek kehidupan, termasuk dalam pembelajaran agama. Anak dan remaja di Meunasah Drang, Muara Batu, Aceh Utara, cenderung lebih akrab dengan perangkat digital dan internet dibandingkan dengan metode pembelajaran konvensional Al-Qur'an. Hal ini mengindikasikan pentingnya penguatan literasi Al-Qur'an melalui pendekatan yang relevan dengan perkembangan teknologi. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan literasi Al-Qur'an pada anak dan remaja melalui pemanfaatan teknologi digital. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini mencakup pelatihan penggunaan aplikasi digital seperti e-learning, video interaktif, dan aplikasi tafsir untuk mendalami isi Al-Qur'an. Hasil yang dicapai menunjukkan adanya peningkatan minat dan pemahaman peserta dalam mempelajari Al-Qur'an. Sebanyak 75% peserta melaporkan peningkatan keterlibatan dan pemahaman yang lebih baik setelah menggunakan aplikasi pembelajaran berbasis teknologi. Dengan demikian, program ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi Al-Qur'an dan dapat menjadi model pengembangan pembelajaran Al-Qur'an yang lebih adaptif dan menarik di era digital.
