Abstract

Labor pain during the first stage of active phase is visceral, arising from uterine contractions and cervical dilation, processed through sympathetic efferent nerve fibers. One therapy that can be used to reduce this pain is the administration of red ginger extract, which is known to have the highest oleoresin content compared to other types of ginger. This study aims to assess the factors influencing the knowledge of third-trimester pregnant women about the benefits of red ginger drink as a pain reliever during the first stage of active labor at the RSUD Daerah Perdagangan. The study used an analytic cross-sectional design involving 66 respondents who met specific inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results showed that education, age, received information, and culture influenced pregnant women’s knowledge about the benefits of red ginger. Based on statistical tests, it was found that education, age, information, and culture have a significant impact on the level of knowledge among pregnant women. This study is expected to contribute to increasing pregnant women’s knowledge of alternative pain relief methods using red ginger and to enrich awareness of the importance of health information during pregnancy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi pemasaran produk unggul kewirausahaan STIKes Mitra Husada Medan yang dipasarkan melalui Toko Obat Pelangi di Desa Lubuk Bayas, Kecamatan Perbaungan, Tahun 2024. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, serta analisis data dengan tahapan reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pemasaran meliputi bauran produk berkualitas, sehat, dan tanpa bahan pengawet; penetapan harga yang disesuaikan dengan biaya produksi; distribusi di lokasi strategis; serta promosi melalui media sosial dan partisipasi pada berbagai pameran. Faktor internal yang menjadi kekuatan antara lain bahan baku berkualitas, rasa khas, dan kemasan praktis, sementara kelemahan meliputi promosi yang belum maksimal, harga yang belum stabil, dan ruang produksi terbatas. Peluang mencakup pasar yang luas, pesaing relatif sedikit, dan dukungan kegiatan kampus, sedangkan ancaman meliputi ketidakstabilan harga bahan baku, minimnya kerja sama dengan pemasok tetap, serta rendahnya minat mahasiswa mengembangkan usaha. Kesimpulan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan pemasaran sangat dipengaruhi oleh kualitas produk, pemilihan strategi distribusi, serta optimalisasi promosi. Disarankan agar pengelola dapat memperluas jaringan pemasaran, menjalin kemitraan dengan pemasok bahan baku, dan meningkatkan variasi media promosi untuk memperkuat daya saing produk di pasar lokal, nasional, hingga internasional.
