Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan kebugaran jasmani untuk siswa SMP Sanankulon Kota Blitar memiliki kategori kurang. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui tingkat kebugaran siswa SMP Sanankulon dalam melakukan olahraga. Siswa kelas VII dan VIII diperoleh hasil sangat kurang 14 siswa (6,78%) dengan kriteria 15” 13”->34,5 menit, 143 siswa (71,43%) kurang dengan kriteria 12’11”–15’30” menit, 45 siswa (23,42%) sedang dengan kriteria 10’49”-12’10” menit dan 1 siswa (0,33) baik dengan kategori 9’41”–10’48” menit.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of sports terminology on the development of techniques and tactics from the perspectives of coaches and sports experts in enhancing athlete performance. Using a qualitative method, data were collected through in-depth interviews with coaches and sports experts from various sports disciplines. The findings indicate that the use of appropriate terminology plays a crucial role in enhancing communication, strategic understanding, and team collaboration. Furthermore, the research reveals that clear and consistent terminology not only accelerates the learning process but also aids athletes in effectively applying techniques. Practical recommendations for coaches are proposed, including systematic teaching and the use of visualization to improve athletes' understanding. These findings are expected to contribute to the development of more effective and targeted training programs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of embodied cognition within the Neuro-Sports Learning (NSL) model as a cognitive intervention strategy in elementary school physical education. The research employed a quasi-experimental, pretest–posttest control-group design, involving two groups: an experimental group receiving instruction through the NSL model based on embodied cognition and a control group engaged in conventional physical education instruction. The participants consisted of 65 elementary school students in Blitar Regency, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using the Digit Span Test, D2 Test of Attention, and Cognitive Flexibility Test, and analyzed through t-tests and Repeated Measures ANOVA using SPSS. The findings revealed that the NSL model had a significant effect on enhancing students’ cognitive capacity (p < 0.001) with a large effect size (Cohen’s d = 1.05–1.41). The most significant improvement was observed in working memory and attention, both rated “excellent.” These results demonstrate that integrating embodied cognition principles into the NSL model effectively optimizes brain function by combining structured physical activities with cognitive challenges. The study contributes to the growing body of research on neuroscience-based physical education and provides practical insights into designing cognitively engaging movement-based learning experiences for young learners.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak program ekstrakurikuler olahraga terhadap pembentukan karakter siswa sebagai tujuan umum. Secara khusus, penelitian ini ingin mengidentifikasi nilai karakter yang berkembang melalui partisipasi siswa dalam kegiatan olahraga, seperti disiplin, kerja sama, kepemimpinan, sportivitas, dan tanggung jawab. Penelitian menggunakan metode literature review dengan menelaah sepuluh artikel ilmiah terpublikasi yang relevan. Sampel penelitian berupa artikel yang membahas hubungan antara kegiatan ekstrakurikuler olahraga dan pembentukan karakter siswa. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar telaah artikel yang digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi fokus penelitian, metode, instrumen, temuan, serta kontribusi karakter yang terbentuk. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif melalui proses sintesis temuan pada setiap artikel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan siswa dalam ekstrakurikuler olahraga memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap perkembangan karakter dan kemampuan sosial, serta berdampak tidak langsung pada peningkatan prestasi akademik. Simpulan penelitian menegaskan bahwa ekstrakurikuler olahraga merupakan sarana strategis untuk membentuk karakter siswa secara holistik, sehingga sekolah perlu mengelola program olahraga secara optimal untuk memaksimalkan manfaatnya dalam penguatan karakter peserta didik
