Abstract

This research is going to describe the understanding of education for early childhood's teachers regading the authentic assesment, with the special focus in the observation technique of the daily learning practice. The method that is used is descriptive quantitative, which encourage the 50% of the active education for early chilhood teacher's and having the experience in the stay in 1 year. The results show that most teachers have a good understanding of the technical aspects of implementing authentic assessment, especially observation techniques (average score 3.62), but their understanding of the basic concepts of authentic assessment still needs improvement (average score 2.84). These findings enhance the importance of ongoing training that balances technical and conceptual aspects to support optimal implementation of authentic assessment in early childhood learning. This study provides an important contribution as a basis for developing training strategies and improving teacher competence to enhance the overall quality of early childhood education. Abstract

General Background: Traditional patriarchal norms in Indonesian society have long dictated gendered parenting roles, positioning fathers primarily as providers. Specific Background: However, since the early 2000s, digitalization, shifting family structures, and national gender equality discourse have catalyzed changes in paternal involvement. Knowledge Gap: Despite increasing awareness, few studies comprehensively explore how Indonesian millennial fathers reconcile traditional masculinity with modern parenting expectations in diverse cultural contexts. Aims: This study investigates the evolving parenting roles of millennial fathers amid the cultural tension between traditional norms and contemporary gender equality values. Results: Findings indicate a significant increase in fathers’ emotional and physical engagement in child-rearing, though role strain persists due to lingering patriarchal pressures and inadequate policy support. Novelty: This study offers a nuanced synthesis by integrating sociological and psychological perspectives, mapping out identity negotiations, and examining structural and cultural enablers and barriers for millennial fathers. Implications: The research highlights the necessity for structural reforms and inclusive policy frameworks that support father involvement as a norm, thereby advancing equitable family dynamics and child well-being within Indonesia’s shifting sociocultural landscape.Highlight : Millennial fathers in Indonesia are increasingly involved in emotional and daily caregiving, negotiating between traditional masculinity and modern egalitarian ideals. Role strain often emerges due to conflicting expectations between cultural norms and evolving gender roles. Social media and national policies play a vital role in supporting and reshaping paternal engagement in childcare. Abstract

Perkembangan bahasa anak usia dini merupakan fondasi penting bagi kesiapan belajar dan keberhasilan akademik pada tahap pendidikan selanjutnya. Salah satu faktor yang berperan dalam mendukung perkembangan bahasa anak adalah Home Literacy Environment (HLE), yaitu lingkungan literasi yang terbentuk melalui ketersediaan sumber bacaan serta praktik literasi dalam keluarga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran Home Literacy Environment dalam perkembangan bahasa anak usia dini serta mengkaji pergeseran paradigma dari fokus pada ketersediaan bahan bacaan menuju pentingnya interaksi literasi antara orang tua dan anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan systematic literature review dengan menganalisis sejumlah artikel ilmiah yang relevan mengenai HLE dan perkembangan bahasa anak. Proses pencarian literatur dilakukan melalui beberapa basis data ilmiah dengan menggunakan kata kunci yang berkaitan dengan home literacy environment, parent–child interaction, dan early language development. Hasil sintesis penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lingkungan literasi rumah memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap perkembangan kosakata, pemahaman bahasa, serta keterampilan literasi awal anak. Temuan kajian juga menunjukkan adanya pergeseran perspektif dalam penelitian HLE, dari pendekatan yang menekankan ketersediaan buku menuju pendekatan yang menekankan kualitas interaksi literasi antara orang tua dan anak, seperti kegiatan membaca dialogis dan percakapan responsif. Dengan demikian, interaksi literasi dalam keluarga menjadi faktor penting yang dapat memperkaya pengalaman linguistik anak dan mendukung perkembangan bahasa secara optimal. Kata kunci: home literacy environment, interaksi orang tua–anak, literasi keluarga, perkembangan bahasa, anak usia dini.
