Abstract

Writing skills are essential in education and need to be developed from an early age to ensure academic success. However, many children face challenges in writing, whether it’s related to structure, vocabulary, or creativity. These difficulties can hinder their ability to effectively communicate their thoughts and ideas. To address this, the Reading to Learn (R2L) method presents a solution that can significantly enhance children’s writing skills. The R2L method is a comprehensive approach that combines both reading and writing activities in a systematic way, allowing children to understand various text structures and patterns that they can apply in their own writing.This article discusses how the R2L method is not only effective but also enjoyable for children. Unlike traditional teaching methods that are either teacher-centered or student-centered, the R2L approach emphasizes the importance of collaboration and interaction between the teacher and the students to build knowledge. The method encourages children to think critically and creatively, helping them transform their ideas into coherent written form.By using the R2L method, students not only improve their writing abilities but also gain confidence in expressing their thoughts and ideas clearly. This boost in confidence is essential for their overall development as learners. The application of the R2L method in classrooms provides an innovative and engaging way to teach writing, fostering both creativity and critical thinking skills. As such, the R2L method offers a valuable approach to developing writing skills in children, making learning both effective and fun.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the leadership of elementary school principals in Sijamapolang District, Humbang Hasundutan Regency, using a qualitative approach with a case study method. The research focuses on how school principals carry out their leadership roles in managerial functions, academic supervision, and fostering social relationships within the school environment. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and document analysis involving three purposively selected elementary schools as case study subjects. The findings indicate that school principals play a strategic role in creating a conducive school climate, motivating teachers, and encouraging the participation of school stakeholders. However, challenges such as limited resources, low community involvement, and a lack of leadership training were found to affect leadership effectiveness. These findings provide valuable insights for developing school leadership capacity in remote areas and emphasize the importance of ongoing professional development to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

Karakter dibangun sejak anak usia dini pada pendidikan dasar yang dapat memperkuat generasi muda dalam menciptakan masyarakat dengan nilai-nilai kebangsaaannya. Perkembangan teknologi yang terus berkembang tanpa batas hingga memasuki digitalisasi 5.0 dapat memudahkan segala aktifitas sehingga membuat fenomena modernisasi yang memberikan pengaruh terkikisnya karakter bela negara termasuk dalam melestarikan nilai-nilai budaya bangsa Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi literatur yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan merangkum berbagai sumber yang relevan tentang Penguatan Karakter Bela Negara Melalui Proyek Berbasis Budaya di SDN 004 Teluk Durian, Kabupaten Kepulauan Anambas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di sekolah SDN 004 Teluk Durian Proyek berbasis budaya di sekolah telah melibatkan peran siswa eksplorasi budaya lokal, seperti seni tari, pantun, cerita rakyat yang dikemas dalam proyek-proyek pembelajaran. Kegiatan yang dilakukan untuk pembelajaran di kelas dapat menggunakan cerita rakyat, permainan tradisional seperti batu gulik, goloh Panjang, dan gasing serta lagu-lagu daerah sebagai media yang terintegrasi dengan mata pelajaran. Dari penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa proyek berbasis budaya di SDN 004 Teluk Durian memiliki dampak yang positif terhadapa penguatan karakter bela negara bagi siswa.
